The BEST food. The burgers, corn on the cob, and cornbread muffins are INSANELY good. Friendly, fun vibe to grab lunch and a cold beer. We had a blast and the service is so good too. Awesome place!

This was a pleasant little restaurant that has a history of a hotel. The staff were very pleasant and food was delicious and reasonably priced. There several neat antique decorations throughout the restaurant.

The Martindale House was a cozy experience. The staff was very exceptional with their hospitality and welcoming. For my lunch here I had their Martindale Burger, which was a fresh hand-padded hamburger topped with hot pepper cheese and savory bacon jam all on a pretzel bun. I also had one of their local crafted sodas which was highly delightful. Overall the entire experience was very charming.

We stopped in for lunch during canal days. They were quite busy but the service was still friendly and quick. They menu is not extremely varied but everything was tasty, fresh, & hot. We had a lovely wine cocktail. The building is so quaint, and "antique-y". We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for lunch again!! The apple cobbler was so good we had it both days!!

Came in on the train as part of the foliage tour and found this place was open.
Historical building that appears well cared for and it really lends itself to be an old fashioned roadhouse.
Food was very good and David was friendly, despite the crush from the tourists. We both agreed our lunches were very filling.

Lunch after getting off the train. Historic old building. There is outside seating in the back. The Rueben and cole slaw (substituted for the fries) was excellent. They were short staffed but didn't mind the wait since we were not in a hurry

Had a wonderful time! Food was very good, the service was nice. Had a great atmosphere and a nice old-timey vibe. There were also cats you could see wondering outside which was wonderful to watch as my boyfriend and I enjoyed our meal.

We came here as part of our first company Christmas Party. The food was good and the staff were either dressed in period attire or bedecked with Christmas outfits, all in good taste. Dave the proprietor was very professional and flexible in getting our group of eight reserved. Looking forward to our next visit!

Stopped in for the first time yesterday. One of the best burgers I have had. It was cooked perfectly. Wait staff was very informative about the area. Definitely a positive experience.

My husband and I volunteer for the Whitewater Valley Railroad, and I had been wanting to try this relatively new restaurant there in Metamora and tonight was the night to try them. Service was good, selection was good, prices reasonable, and the food was really good. I got the Reuben sandwich, which was made With a very tender corned beef and was good. My husband got the Martindale Burger which was exceptionally flavorful and tasty! All plates around me looked very good as well!

Our server was friendly and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The burger with bacon jam was excellent. We also enjoyed the pretzel with beer cheese. This will be a stop on our visit to Metamora next year for sure!

Rueben was delicious! As was the specialty drink. Our first time in Metamora. It was really pleasant chatting about some of the history and recent finds. I used to live in Denver and the Molly Brown House had to search far and wide to recollect Mrs. Brown's scattered treasures. They have managed to get quite a bit returned... as we talked about pieces of the town's history that had been sold away, and some pieces being returned- I was reminded of Molly Brown and the luck her museum has had. I hope the scattered bits of Metamora history will find a way back!

Loved this quaint little town. We did the metamora train ride and festival. It was a lot of fun. There's a ton of early settlers history within Metamora, the early canal system of Indiana was amazing to learn about. Can you imagine building a canal in the middle of no where, with limited tools? I cannot! They built these canal systems for miles and miles! Sorry to talk about the town more than the food! The foods we ate there were great! The ice cream shop had fresh made fudge, oh my word!!!!!!! Simply amazing
