Nice, well kept cemetery with lots of historical markers.

This cemetery has easy access, and the gate is always open. Its a very old cemetery, and holds some of the pioneers of clay county Missouri. The oldest continuously lived in farmhouse of clay county is easily seen just north of the cemetery, and was built in 1826. There is a museum that's open during the warm months. BIG SHOAL CEMETERY IS BECOMING RUN DOWN AND NEEDS A PERMANENT PROTECTION STATUS
