Great selection of beer and whiskey. Having said that I've tried for about 2 years to get Blantons each time I visit to no avail. Nice selection of Soju too. Staff are always friendly. Unless I'm in a hurry I always go here.

This Hy-Vee shines in this one area. Lowest prices I've been able to find on import beer. It was a pleasant surprise that I just stumbled across. Unfortunately, I can't speak for their other alcohol items since I'm pretty much just a beer person but for someplace close, it's great.

Do not have a good selection of wine that is chilled

They really need to have people in the liquor department know some basic knowledge of what they carry. Not asking for experts, but simple common knowledge of types of spirits and beer should be a basic requirement to work that department.

Super frustrating calling into there asking for something and they have to put me on hold then come back to the phone to ask what it is again. Sometimes multiple times. And if they were not so passive aggressive on the phone when helping, that would be nice. Not just hang up the phone abruptly and being unprofessional.
