Had to make a quick reservation for 13 and Hattie made this so easy, truly a delightful experience! Lauren our wonderful waitress was the best guide to Rye! The food wow! Some of the best I’ve had in KC! Seriously the food is amazing! Rye is equal to none! Don’t miss out! Rye is a home run choice!

Delicious! We hadn’t been here in some time and I was glad to find it did not disappoint. In a great location on the Plaza, this is a fine choice to dine with good food, good vibes, good service. It was pretty busy at our Saturday lunch time, but our service did not suffer (I recommend making a reservation however). Despite their good brunch options, I went with the shrimp & grits. The grits were different than what I’ve had before but in a good way. As much as I enjoy S&G, the beef and roux accented it beautifully and were the perfect compliments. Come hungry as it was pretty hearty and I noticed some of their other food in pretty large portions. They also have a nice cocktail list, both brunch and non-brunch.

Rye was my favorite restaurant of all that we visited in Kansas City. The tasteful decor is highlighted by the choice of plants that adorn the dining area. Service was attentive, food was delicious and the prices were all reasonable.

The Saturn Devours is hands down the best cocktail. Light, airy, fruity—delicious! I also ordered the whipped goat cheese and it was a perfect match. I sat at the bar and the service was terrific. Great music & atmosphere. Arika was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I will be back very soon!

Perfect place for upscale eating. Food and drinks are delicious, portions are large and well worth the price. Service is great, would recommend having a reservation, especially if you are a larger group.

Good vibes everywhere. Nice casual, warm interior style. A bit pricey for me though. I passed on the $50-$85 steak selections. Dressed up comfort food with gourmet prices you might say, but a good experience still.

I’ve tried Rye a few times in both of their locations and each experience has been absolutely amazing. They are well know for their fried chicken. It’s a must have. The fried chicken is very flavorful and possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. I also like the steak. I get my steak well done and very few places make a juicy well done steak. This place gets it right each time.

I also love the fact that they are using local farmers. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is great.

My brother and sister in law had their wedding party here for dinner. All 22 of us had a wonderful 3 course meal and bar service. It was awesome. The drinks were amazing. The staff was so helpful. 10/10 recommended and will come back.

Went here for the first time today based on a rave review from a friend. I had the soup of the day and the omelette and both were excellent. We got personalized service from McKenzie and the food quality was very good based on the price! It was a great value. Happy 7th Birthday Rye Plaza! We’ll be back! They even had Sunday night Live Jazz Music for the Holidays!

If you have the opportunity to meet Billie (sorry if I misspelled it), you definitely should. He is the shining star of this establishment & made our experience so enjoyable. Our waitress was very attentive as well. We started with a GINORMOUS cinnamon roll (my picture does not do it justice). Dessert first, right? I then ordered the Shrimp & Grits. Best I've ever had!! Mom ordered the Two Piece Fried Chicken & I snuck her drumstick. The outer crispness paired with the inner juicyness was over the top delicious. I will definitely be returning.

This place is actually insane. A friend once told me that ever since he had the prime rib here he had been searching for one of equal quality (to no avail). I was skeptical; but, my girlfriend and I came here for her birthday and bro was not lying 😭😭😭. It was over one bite in. Steak for two is insanely good. They have to be using some kind of dark magic on it because there is no way food can taste that good. If Rye has a million fans I am one of them. If Rye has one fan, that fan is me. If Rye has no fans, I have died.

Absolutely everything on the menu is fantastic.

The farm-to-table food is generally higher quality and more ethically sourced, and kitchen staff do an incredible job a maintaining flavor and richness without adding unnecessary greasiness to the food.

Cocktails are not cheap (but reasonable), and crafted to high standards without shorting you on spirit.

Highly recommend.

Don't let the outside appearance of this restaurant fool you. It looked simple and chic on the outside but as soon as I went in, I fell in love with the interior design 🥰 the inside was very beautiful, and the richness of the greens of the plants inside made me feel fresh and organic.

The menu was not overwhelming, very simple. Food presentation was great as well. Water was served to me and my companions promptly.

Always delicious and always a wonderful dining experience. Rye is the best of service paired with excellent food. The shrimp and grits and the fried chicken are constant delicious staples that always stay on the menu, however the rotating seasonal items never disappoint. The pies are to die for. One of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City.

Everything we ordered was quick and deliscious. Not feeling super hungry, i ordered a side of the cheezy, garlic grits which came in a small bowl, a side of the best bacon ever (2 pieces) and 2 eggs over easy. My son ordered the burnt ends hash and although a smaller portion thant we expected, it was incredibly deliscious! We are in town a few more days and we will ve back before we head out od town!

Awesome local restaurant with a wonderful, down to earth staff. Paul the GM and Erica who was our bartender were extremely accommodating as this was our first visit to Kansas City. Chatted with us about their establishment and other local places to visit and must go eateries! We were there for happy hour and had a blast! Highly recommend. Great cocktails and beer selection. Ordered the deviled eggs and bbq pork rinds which were delicious. Definitely want to go back for brunch! Just go!!

Thrilled with our decision to get Easter brunch at Rye. The burnt end hash was loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. The cinnamon rolls should be famous if they aren’t: perfectly baked dough — neither gooey (in the bad sense) nor dry — flavorful icing, and just the right amount of cinnamon. And, if you can’t tell from the pics, they’re massive! Even the drip coffee delighted: the special Roasterie blend was delicious. If we hadn’t gotten ourselves so full, we’d have stayed to enjoy one of their outstanding cocktails or a pour from among their fine selection of whiskeys. // UPDATE: I neglected to mention an equally important part of the experience: the servers. All the staff were prompt, attentive, well-groomed (you’d think that’d be a given, but unfortunately these days it’s not) and courteous.

Whoever did the interior decorating for Rye should get a raise. So many textures and things to look at while you enjoy your meal! Rustic but classy. Very cool place. Drinks were great! Food was well prepared, well presented, and tasty!!! Servers were attentive, kind, and on-the-ball throughout the dinner experience. This is another gem of a restaurant located on our beautiful Country Club Plaza!

The fried chicken is to die for! Great atmosphere. Friendly staff! Enjoyed our visit tremendously!
