Stayed for one night. The RV park is clean & well maintained. Friendly & helpful staff. Tons of mature trees and an over sized K9 Paw Pen. Full hook- ups available. Internet speed was awesome. We stayed in the back of the park so the train noise was no problem. We would definitely stay here again.

We showed up afterhours and they had out packet ready with our site marked. The overflow parking was nice and big. It was easy to get into our spot, and the spot was level. The front desk workers were very friendly, and they had a cute gift shop!

What a great place! Stayed on a cabin and it was clean, neatly decorated, had all the kitchen supplies and linens we needed and was large enough for 4 adults and an infant. It was conveniently located to main attractions in Lawrence. I would definitely stay there again.

Had a great experience renting a small cabin traveling through on I-70. Very clean cabin, very convenient for I-70 travelers. Bathroom was spotless, entire staff was smiling and made you feel like family. Great location to downtown Lawrence for shopping and entertainment. 👍 Lawrence KOA does it right. Will visit again when traveling through.

Pros:
-Big Rig Friendly (40 ft 5th wheel) 50 amp with full hook ups
- Two playgrounds
- Frisbee golf baskets
- kids zip line
-nice clean bathrooms/showers
-dog park
- good Starlink service
-Verizon coverage was decent

Cons
-the showers in the women’s room were difficult to maintain temperature and would get really hot for three seconds and then back to normal
- loud train nearby

Great campground. Would stay again.

I am staying in an R. V. At this place and I love the peace. And quiet and how beautiful it is over. Here it is a very nice place to go for KOA HOLIDAY RV PARK .
I recommend if you're going through town. Stop here, stay overnight. They have all the amenities. It is a great place. I am from far out of town, so for me. This is comfort. Also, they're the certified propane fill ups . So if you need propane, they have it on site, they can fill your bottles before you depart. They also make homemade pizzas in their little kitchen, I would highly recommend.

Excellent and easy location with super friendly staff! The whole process from checkin in and out was easy, with clear directions

Yes, there is a train but the kind staff did provide ear plugs which were very helpful!

Overall clean and great place for a quick overnight stay.

$65/night rate is WITH the Good Sam discount. The park is nice enough with tons of amenities. Good site, level, gravel, good water and power. The internet was ok for a couple hours the first night, but almost non-existent the rest of our stay. There are train tracks nearby with trains going through often. Didn't bother us but light sleepers may find it an issue. They will give you ear plugs when you check in if you want them. They get docked one star for being WAY overpriced, and one star for the poor internet, but gain one star for having three disc golf baskets at the campground.

We made a 4 hour trip and arrived here to find we forgot our 50 amp power chord. The owner was nice enough to loan us a 50 amp chord and surge protector off his personal RV. It saved us a lot of headache and discomfort.
This KOA is conveniently accessed from Hiways 59/24 and 40 just North of Lawerence. The site was very level and the park very clean. Plenty of grassy space to walk our furry friend. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.
It's folks like these that make KOA a great place to stay.

Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality! Even made sure to sing Happy Birthday to my guy. Staff is super friendly. Beautiful place. Nice pool and playground area for kids and adults too. The grass was sure nice to put my feet in this morning!

I hope you can stop in and enjoy it!
They were even able to accommodate friends and we both needed 40’ of space minimum. Nice picnic tables and fire rings.
Five stars from us!

One of the nicer Journey KOAs, I've visited. Clean, neat, facilities in good repair. Freeway and train are nearby but earplugs solve that problem. You will be offered earplugs at check in. The sites were level enough, roomy enough. I saw lots of ants everywhere but I had no trouble with them. I really liked that there is a self-service car wash nearby that my trailer fit through. Good ATT 5G signal.

Tried to reserve cabin in Topeka but they were booked so rented cabin here. Think turned out for the best. Will be going back.

Returned to this KOA this past week for a place to stay for our son's wedding. Rented their large lodge (4 beds/3 baths)5 months ahead of time so knew we had a place that would accommodate all 6 of our family so we could easily stay together. Most of our time was spent at the wedding venue, but was nice to have this space for us to exhale at the end of long days. Full size refrigerator was great since we had leftovers from rehearsal dinner. Our only suggestion would be to update shower heads and supply extra trash bags . This campground is set up so well and the hosts are very hospitable. I am sure we will return again.
