Homer's Record Stores

Moved mountains to ensure I got an album order even when there was a distribution issue and even though it wasn’t their fault. It’s a very good reason to not go anywhere else, except for very specific releases that are artist’s online store only releases. Big box stores wouldn’t have helped me out like Homers did.

Homers is a staple of the area and always a pleasure to visit. The staff is always professional and laid back, the store is just so fun to browse and there's literally always something I want to leave with. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Homers is the best record and cd store in all of the Midwest, they restock often and almost always have something that will catch your eye.

I make it a habit to check out local record stores whenever I am traveling for work. And let me tell you Homer's does not disappoint. They have an amazing staff that is friendly and loves to talk about music. They truly have an all encompassing selection of genres of new and used vinyl, cd, and cassette. I can not tell you how important this is as I've been to plenty of record stores where it is only classic rock or pop music. I was able to easily find some really awesome records, ranging from the Gap Band, Daft Punk, Flying Lotus(true deep cut there:)), Billy Ocean, 5th Dimension, Isaac Hayes, Childish Gambino, The Cars, and Alan Parsons Project. If you are a local or just traveling through I definitely recommend this spot if you are a lover of all genres of music or simply someone just looking to break out of their comfort zone musically. 😁😁

Omaha's oldest and best record store! Hard to find vintage vinyl as well as the newest releases. Homer's also has cd's, cassettes, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, turntables. I could go on but you get the idea.

Probably the best record store I’ve been to. So much in stock, it’s hard not to find an album. The vinyl I bought was in perfect condition, unlike Walmart, who has sold me multiple pre-scratched records. Fair prices on CDs and vinyl. Employees were very nice and showed interest in my taste in music. Would blow a whole paycheck there. 6/5.

Amazing selection, couldn’t believe I found what I was looking for right away given that it’s a pretty small band. If I ever hit the lottery this is my first stop, but until then I might make the drive to Omaha to pick up a couple records here and there in the meantime for my wall at home. Cashier was super helpful when I was looking for something specific and even offered to order it for me.

One of the coolest stores I've been in. Been looking for a Chris Ledoux vinyl for awhile now and came across it here. I thought nobody would ever have one!

Awesome record store in the heart of Omaha's old market. Thay have a huge variety of new and used music on vinyl, disc, and even cassette.

My go to record store, this place is awesome! The only downside is that sometimes I can smell pot. Depending on who you are that's not a downside.

very poggers. they have a great cd collection and i was surprised to see cassettes so that’s a plus :). the staff are also very nice! 5/5 stars, my only complaint is they make me go broke X3

LOVED this place in high school. My now teenage daughter has excellent taste in music . I took her here on an Omaha outing for her 16th birthday and bought her some records. It was just like I remembered it. Very nostalgic stop for me. Cheers to the next 50 years, Homer's.

Good selection, especially for new vinyl. Not sure I understand how they have stuff organized, but give yourself time to look and you'll find some good stuff.

Great selection of used and new vinyl, plus so much more. This is a fun place to visit and I never leave empty handed

I hadn't been in Homer's for YEARS! And I'm happy to say I felt it hadn't changed a lot. I really like that. They still have so many different types of music choices. Old and new, LOTS of old. So definitely check it out if you're looking for something in particular or just go and browse through it all. It's a treasure trove.
