Shep's Riverside Bar and Grill

This is a perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner. The service was great, and the food was amazing. I ordered the special cod, and it was made perfect. It came with a baked potato and cottage cheese. My kids ordered the chicken strips and the chicken sandwich it was all tasty. Thank you so much for having fast/friendly service and delicious food!

We have been coming here for years. It's a great stop by boat for drinks and food. We usually stay in lansing as well so easy to walk to as well. There's a great outdoor seating area/ bar downstairs that is a great area to watch river life. Great place to stop.

Great little hole in the wall with super friendly service. Cold beer and great food! Highly recommend the fried cod and French dip. The fries are delicious.

Great service & really good food. Cheese curds were delicious. Good drink selection & the staff was so wonderful. There's no grilled cheese on the kids menu but that's all my daughter wanted &they didn't even flinch -"oh of course, no problem." So sweet!

August 22nd, my old man and I stopped here on our way home from white bear Lake mn. This burger was what I was looking for and found it, tugboat was its name.😋

New bartender/server working when we went in, she did great. Two other women their helping out as well. Awesome bar, great food and conversation.

The food is always great and salad bar! Very limited drink selection, but the view of the Mississippi is always a great place to hangout for burgers and beers plus all of their appetizers are hand breaded and to die for!

From the moment you walk through the door, the sense that you are burgeoning into a unique and incredible experience is overwhelming. The atmosphere is set in a former river port grain elevator and it's fascinating. Then, the food is even better! Our sandwiches melted into our mouths. Very flavorful. Very pleasant. I would drive 4.5 hours again just to eat by the river again!

Great view, right on the Mississippi. Pork fritter, best I've had in forever! Waitress, Becky! was great, even though they were busy with Labor Day crowd. Boats with families, pulled right up to the dock

Remodel will be done Feb 2024, off to a great start, great sandwiches and cold beer all over looking the .mighty Mississippi

Quaint friendly establishment, great food and overlooking the river. Highly recommend!

We went for drinks and enjoyed the view amd atmosphere. Fast service. We did not wait for a drink at all. It was raining, but the view is spectacular rain or shine!

The food there is excellent! We have to eat there every time we go to the river!

Great bar/grill. Our waitress Chloé, was engaging and accommodating. We ordered a fish wrap and a steak sandwich with fries. Kudos to the chef. Plated to perfection.

It was quite obvious the establishment was under staffed. Chloe was expected to singlely wait on all the tables plus handle billing and execution. She definitely deserves a huge raise and huge tips. Thanks Chloe!

Great food and great service!!! I met some extremely nice and helpful folks there over the weekend. I had car trouble and am from out of town and the young lady working connected me with couple gentleman that helped me get back on the road. VERY GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP GREG AND BEOAU !!!

Great place to eat and to have drinks! Nice to have a salad bar in daytime, hard to come across one that does! Friendly staff and fast service! I do recommend!

Went there on a Saturday afternoon for a beer. Busy place. Nice little establishment one must visit if taking a day trip to NE iowa.

We enjoyed Sunday lunch time burgers in the middle of winter. Great views, even in the winter. The service was very fast. Glad we made the trip!

Beautiful views of the river from all spots in the dining area. Nice small salad bar. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Everything we ordered was delicious (fish, burgers).
