Café 1832

Very clean. Staff was very pleasant. Trip on the RR was fun, cast of the Great Diamond Heist was excellent. Rode in the dining car- roast beef sandwich was outstanding. A fun outing for couples or family

Check it out when you take the Strasburg train! Not many vegetarian options, the menu is small, but food was amazing - we got French fries and kids Mac and cheese, both were a hit and I was pleased with the crispness of the fries. They also have some drinks in the fridge behind the sitting area (kind of hard to see) and some snack there as well like chips and such. The staff was very pleasant and friendly.

The food here is great! The smash burger is delicious and the fries are nice and crispy. It's small, so both times we've eaten here we've sat on the front porch. It has tables that you can eat at or a high top ledge that gives you a nice few of the train coming and going. The children's meal came with apple slices and fries, so my child was happy.

They remind us about the past years what need to remember about history.They have a great food for adults and kids.They are cleaned and organized well. They have a large parking spaces available for all cars. They treat their customers with respect and appreciation for great goals and Amazing nice. They accept cash,debit card or credit card.They have sink to wash your hands and drying before buying and eating the food. All the staffs and employees are incredible intelligent and kind workers in the store and train ride with their tickets .

I watched total renovation of this restaurant and it's much easier to say that it's all new because it is and it is fantastic

we ordered the rotisserie chicken dinner take home the other night and it was so good and so flavorful that we ordered our families Thanksgiving meal from the restaurant the food is so fresh it is so flavorful words can't describe how good it is you miss eating in this restaurant or getting a grab-and-go meal to take home you have missed train

This is a very long overdue change for the Strasburg railroad and it is so welcome and look forward to getting or next meal for the family from here

food is fresh the place is clean everybody is professional this is a must go to when you're in town

My wife and myself both had burgers, fries and onion rings. Every thing was very good. Would stop in again if in the area.

Food was good and service was nice and the place is clean! First time there, great experiences.

Not a huge selection of items but a quality menu with a lot of kid friendly options and American favorites (burgers, wraps, pulled pork, crab cakes, fries, etc.). The food was great. No frozen hamburger patties here. Tasted like a unique blend of choice meats. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

My son has allergies and the cook came out to greet us and told us how items were prepared and if they would be safe for him. Great to see someone take the time out of their busy schedule to help ease our minds.

I will definitely be returning there when I'm in the area.

Stopped quickly into Cafe 1832 while waiting for our train, small menu which is nice. We all had just French Fries & Sweet Potato Fries, both were absolutely delicious & huge portions more than enough to share. You're able to sit inside or outside, either way the view is pretty cool watching the trains arrive/depart.

I had the pleasure of dining in Cafe 1832 and upon walking in they had a sink for all Guests to wash their hands prior to ordering. Tables and seating are spread out to ensure social distancing, all Team Members are wearing face masks, Guests have masks on until they sit to eat. We ordered our food, it was a quick service and we sat down at the bar to eat which overlooks the trains coming into the station! I got the smash burger and it was sweet, juicy and the fries were nice and crispy. Chef Ponticelli came by to ask how the food was and we had a great conversation. The place is very clean, modern, the food was spectacular and we felt very safe. We didn’t even have to ride the train, but we ended up riding anyway! I definitely recommend this place for quick service meals.

I’ve been coming to the railroad for 25 years. When I was a kid, the old eatery was at best a “concession stand”. The new restaurant is a simply perfect addition and really elevates the whole experience. Strasburg has been maturing the whole facility over the past few years, and having honest to god food there is great for a day out, rather than driving a few miles back to the highway and chain restaurants. Also, best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had.

We live locally and have sort of exhausted our takeout options over the whole virus thing, so were happy to see Cafe 1832 open at the Strasburg Rail Road. We've ordered from here several times now. The menu offers a rotating array of sandwiches (the pulled pork and the bratwurst were fantastic), and we've been trying to sample each one but uh oh! we've gotten hooked on the "Smash Burger" so keep reordering that: great hand-pattied juicy burger with the BEST caramelized onions! We are REALLY pleased with Cafe 1832!

Our true compliments to the chef and all of the staff of Cafe 1832! Our Thanksgiving dinner was superb! The vegetable selection was colorful, stuffing by far some of the best we've ever had, the turkey was super moist, and the mashed potatoes had just the right amount of lumps! Keep up the good work, y'all!

Absolutely fantastic food, one of the best of the best places I have had the pleasure to eat at. The experience of the head chef is evident in just how flavorful the food is. The burger is second to none! I can't wait to try everything else

Cafe 1832 is a nice little place at the Strasburg Railroad. It's great to get a bite to eat and what is really cool is they have seating outside so you can watch the trains arrive and depart. There's something for everybody and it's at the center of the rest of the station. The gift shop is next door and the small playground is to the right. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return.

Excellent food and service. I ordered the Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich and it was delicious. I parked in the main lot at Strasburg Rail Road which was super easy, but there is also a convenient curbside pickup too. Hats off to Cafe 1832.

I have tried several different combos now and I am blown away by just how amazing the quality is. I never realized just how poor some of the "local" burgers are. The smash burger is a must try there is nothing on earth like it. Hats off to Chef Phil and Chef Jeff for a job well done.

Had Crab Bisque and Chicken Tenders. Both were very, very good.
Go here frequently and love sitting in the Train car eating my lunch

The coffee was great on a rainy day.

Good food and location. You get to watch the train while you eat which is enjoyable but also loud.
