One of the most exciting things to do on any trip is to visit the visitor center! And that's exactly what I did shortly after arriving to Huntingdon County this morning.

This place has everything a curious traveler could ask for - from loads of useful information about the area's attractions and activities, to an amazing exhibit of interactive displays.

But that's not all - the visitor center also boasts a charming gift shop, where you can find souvenirs and mementos to take back home. And to top it off, there's a stunning deck that overlooks the picturesque lake, offering a breathtaking view that's sure to leave you awestruck.

Beautiful location not far from the turnpike. Campground is well kept. Hiking paths are maintained well, but hiking paths could be marked more clearly near the new disc golf course paths.

We were out here for a day trip and we loved the visitor center. The gift shop was nice and had so many options. My 2 year old loved the toys and gadgets. We got one of those little destination stretched penny things from the machine. We went downstairs to talk to the park rangers to see where the best spot on the lake is to watch for Eagles. All of the rangers were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will be coming back again in the future!

This was a cool building it has a gift shop for drinks and souvenirs, the stickers they got are cool. And they got a small little museum type thing to look at as well.

We had such a fun day! Road Trip Adventure! It's a 2 hour drive from where we live in Enola Pennsylvania, but it was worth the drive...beautiful views the entire trip and Raystown Lake is just gorgeous. We toured the Visitors Center and Museum...lots of old photos and History of the flood that destroyed the original dam and the building of the current dam...We are definitely going to come back camping and hiking!

What a beautiful park! We visited to hear a musical we follow Chris Westfall. The concert was held indoors because the weather was a concern. There is a lovely amphitheater for such events. We hope to visit again

Neat informational visitor's center about the history, geology, and damming of the area that created the lake. There is a gift shop and viewing deck. Nice place for a quick stop when scoping out the area.

It has beautiful views of the lake, stunning landscaping, a walking trail, plenty of parking, an interesting, interactive history of Raystown in the lower level, a gift shop with fun, reasonably priced apparel, gifts, toys and maps, a bunch of free brochures with helpful information on the region, a comfortable sitting area, and exceptionally clean restrooms. This place has it all.

Staff so helpful and the view off the back deck of the lake is beautiful. We always stop there and get gift items and look at the free brochures available in the area of things to see and do.

This is a good place to stop when visiting the Raystown Lake area. There is an informative visitors desk, a store and an interesting display about the lake. The display is larger than most for a visitor center. It describes the history and nature of the area.

There is a beautiful view of the lake from a deck above the marina. We also took a walk on a nature trail and stopped at a playground.

One of the best visitors centers I’ve seen! A museum and gift shop combined with a fantastic view of the deck from the back porch. The taxidermied birds hiding in the rafters of the museum were a nice touch!

Very nice visitor center with a lot of information but definitely looks like it has more to offer in the pictures then what is there.
