Lakeview On the Lake

What a great place to stay! Beautiful view of the lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Motel rooms give you a nostalgic and comfortable feeling. They are spacious and very clean . There are cabins of various sizes, from small to one with 3 bedrooms. Plenty of parking. The owners are very warm, friendly and welcoming. If there are any issues they will do their best to resolve them quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying here was the best! It’s beyond cute and cozy, the views are amazing, and the people running the property were so unbelievably kind and accommodating. My husband and I came from Pittsburgh just to get away from the city a little and this was the perfect spot. We will be back! Thank you!!!

This place was amazing! Very clean, spacious and cozy for my family and I. We had a clear view of Lake Erie from the kitchen, dining room, and bedroom windows. Brian was very helpful and a great host. There's not much lighting outside once it is dark but it was very quiet and comfortable.

Went here a few years ago we were driving just exploring the lighthouses and it was getting late so we called at 12:30 am and they had something for us with the late notice.The owners were so kind and sweet and professional. I recommend this beautiful place for anyone It is truly breathtaking

Great little motel with cabins overlooking Lake Erie. Rustic and quiet with beautiful views. Winding stairs to take you down to the Lake.

We booked a 2 night stay, we stayed in a cottage and are already planning another trip out next year!
The property and grounds are well maintained and the owners are very nice and helpful.
The cottage was great for just me and my husband and had what we needed. The view of the lake was absolutely amazing!
On the morning we left we decided we were going to go down the steps to the edge of the lake and what a breathtaking experience it was.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a double bed motel room. Simple but cute, I loved how the room looked like a cabin inside. The staff/owners were very helpful and nice. The view is absolutely amazing and they have a nice heated pool, small playground, and some outdoor games/equipment to enjoy. It definitely kept the kids busy. I will be returning again!

We arrived after dark, but check in was easy peas-y! The "hotel room" was cozy and clean. We got up super early and walked down the adventurous stairs to the lake shore- absolutely stunning! Came back up and hung out with coffee and breakfast bars on the chairs/hammock while looking at the lake and listening to the waves. That was definitely my favorite part. If we're ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again!!! It looks like it would also be a lot of fun for a family reunion- I believe they have a swimming pool and a volleyball net :)

We stayed here for 5 days with 3 adults and 3 kids. The owners were wonderful! The rooms were super clean! The pool was heated and was perfect for the kids. They also had a little playground for the kids which the kids loved. The view of the sunset is spectacular! I would highly recommend staying here!

I cant lie, I almost did not want to write this review cause we wanted to keep this gem low-key. Such a great area, choices of different spots to stay in. We stayed in the Airstream which was perfect for two. Excellent outlook spot with a 125ft stairs down to the lake. No beach area but there are many areas just within a minutes drive. This location was just outside of Erie so if you wanted to head into Erie, you are 15-20 minutes away. I can say more but really, you should go just check it out for yourself.

A nice family owned place. The owner was very nice and friendly. You're right on the shore line which was beautiful. We had a little cottage for one night. Well it was small it was super clean and cozy. You also have a little front porch to sit on. The bed was a double size so it was a little tight for two people to sleep in.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of spending a few night here. Very nice, friendly owners. Was my 1st time in Erie so I was amazed at the beautiful view and sunset. Mini cabins were all we needed for a comfortable stay. We definitely plan on going back!

Stayed here for a girls weekend. It's a piece of heaven. The owners were absolutely awesome. This is family owned and family ran. The views of the lake are spectacular. We checked out and even hung around for a bit. I strongly suggest staying here. The rooms are cabin like. Small but cozy. Presque state Park was 20 minutes away. Close to Bay front. Just a perfect location

Super clean. Little cabins. Family owned and operated. The view of the lake and sunset is beyond beautiful. There is a path and stairs - lots of them that take you down to the lake. Pool is always clean. Overall impressed.

We lucked into finding this gem and wow! We were so happy with our experience. We were sad only because we had one night to stay with them. They provide a wonderful experience and the location is outstanding! Kind hosts that care about their business and it shows. Thank you for the most enjoyable stay!

I live in Michigan and my girl live in New York so we met halfway and found Lakeview. Brian and his wife was very kind and the room was clean and overall it was a nice getaway from us. We will be coming back again and I recommend this place for a nice getaway for family and friends! Thank u Brian and family!!! ❤

My family had a wonderful stay in Annie’s Retreat. All needed amenities were provided and having 2 bathrooms for four adults was an added bonus! Along with having a full-sized kitchen, we had everything we needed for when we decided to eat in. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. It is only accessible by stairs though, so take that into consideration when booking. Although there are many other options without stairs as well. We made the trek down the steps to the shoreline. While it wasn’t a beach that you could really sit and relax on, the stairway down was surrounded by calming forest scenery. Which was admired as we took a break at the halfway point. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking. There was a park with a beach, just minutes down the road. Plus Presque Isle was just a half hour away. We were also able to check out many of the local wineries that were nearby. One suggestion would be to have a fire pit, so that we could have cookouts. They only had charcoal grills available. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful time away from home. Clean and quiet area with a beautiful view of the lake. Staff was very friendly. My 6'3 son did have a difficult time in the shower, not much room for taller people, but managed. Many fun activities within a short distance. Definitely will return.

We had planned to stay at The Hampton Inn at the Marina and they were sold out! Last minute scramble decided to give this place a try and boy are we glad we did!
Owner was there with a smile and a friendly upbeat attitude ready to check us in!
This place is magical! And quiet!
We got very lucky and had the entire place to ourselves! It was off season, so a little cold but we had the BEST time! The gods showed us some love and let up on the rain so we could spend our night here outdoors instead of inside.

Exceptionally clean especially considering how old the place is!
Bed was comfy, cute locally made soaps are supplied that smelled amazing.

There is parking for each place. Not ALOT of room just enough for a king cab truck to squish in.
The cabins are very small but cozy and SO cute. If small spaces are an issue for you book one of their larger places. Shower was small but nice to have!
No neighbors above or below is a huge plus for us! Chairs on the patio are perfect for front porch sitting! Can't speak about cable or Wi-Fi because we disconnected for the night.
Mini fridge/coffee pot/microwave supplied. No breakfast offered but that is a SMALL price to pay to stay somewhere so beautiful instead of at a dumpy chain hotel! Who's breakfasts really aren't that great anyway! I will give my money to a hard working American family before a big time corporation any day of the week and twice on Sunday!
Stairs are pretty steep down to the beach. But the view from above is breathtaking so you can just enjoy from the top if that's an issue for you.
Wish we had more time to explore the area and see what else was around. Would LOVE to come back for a vacation!
There are a couple wineries and a little town not too far away you can get food and snacks at. They do have a couple charcoal BBQ's next to picnic tables on the grounds and lots of chairs around for outside sitting. Great playground for kids! Tons of beautiful green grass!
Unfortunately we didn't get pool time cause it was too cold. A hot tub would be nice for the cold nights but you can't have everything!!!

What a wonderful family run place. The views are amazing, simple amenities, and relaxing atmosphere. We just left from a 2 night stay in a mini cottage and had a great time. The cottages are small but quaint and perfect if you are going to be out and about during the day. It was nice to sit on the porch and take in the early mornings and evenings. Overall great experience! Would stay here again with the family in one of the larger options.
