Contented Acres Bed & Breakfast

Spending a few days at Norma's house was incredible, a welcoming and meticulously decorated environment. The fresh country air, the animals, old machines and tractors, and a spectacular breakfast make this place a wonderful outing. Thank you Norma and Ted, you are amazing!

Ted and Norma are wonderful hosts and although it has been a decade since we last stayed here , the hospitality that they both extend to their guest is like hanging out with your own family. We had a great time visiting and enjoying a hot breakfast to start our day. An extra bonus for us this time was being able to have our dog stay with us in our room.
Be sure to check rates for your pet when booking your room. Their home is situated in the countryside and so you'll have a restful sleep.

I am so glad I found this place. They were very kind and accommodating to me and my kitty. She even got up at 5:30 to make sure I had coffee before I got on the road. There are nice paths to walk around to stretch my legs as I had been driving all day. I definitely would recommend staying here if you want a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

Most wonderful place to stay in North East . You couldn't find a nicer and more down-to-earth place . Great breakfast and lots to watch while eating it. Ted and Norma are the best, and it feels like home away from home.

Peaceful setting, with vineyard to walk through and a nearby woods. Close to many wineries. 2nd floor bedroom and bath very clean and well kept. Nice farm experience with a pond, pavilion, geese, chickens, and the hosts' cats.

We stayed here as a spur of the moment stay as our original cabin did not meet our needs.Ted and Norma were the nicest people ever!!So very friendly and accommodating. It is a beautiful place and very quiet and peaceful

My husband and i decided to make a “Day Trip” to Erie. We found the most peaceful, relaxing Bed & Breakfast and Norma & Ted were so accommodating since it was the spare of the moment decision.
After a long day of traveling, sight seeing and adventuring we headed back to the Farm, rested up and took a long stroll through the GrapeVines. Saw many beautiful deer, heard the rolling brook, amazing sunset with many other intriguing sights.
Thanks to our wonderful hosts we will be back again to enjoy a longer weekend and good company.

It's a nice place for kids or if you have a boat. The people are friendly but the area is run down. Don't ever get the same room. It's a 8x8 box. Get the standard room.

Wowonderful country setting, terrific hosts, easy to find , great rooms and food

DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband and I planned a trip here for the wine festival in Erie for 3 days. Prior to our arrival we were called at the most obsene hours of night to be told that he has people calling constantly for our room and we "better be coming!" Once we arrived the experience was nothing short of a nightmare, we were walked in on in our room by the owner several times, there was nowhere to put our things because drawers were full and the closet was being used. The refrigerator which was broken was storing dozens of eggs I assume they fed everyone for breakfast. At the end of our stay we went to pay our $200 bill and the owner whose name is Ted swiped our card 6-8 times after I told him not too. My card was charged over 4 times and $890 was taken out of my account. I was assured the money would be returned promptly and it didn't not return on my card for over 7 days. I was planning to do some shopping at some outlets that day which I wasn't able to because of the gauge charge. The best is after the money was returned I went to check my acct a month later to find another charge from contented acres for almost $700. When I confronted Ted the business owner he claimed I owed him that money and he insisted it would not be returned. I am now having to dispute it with my credit card company and that money won't be returned for up to 90 days. I have no choice but to press criminal charges for theft. Please do not stay at this place, this man has absolutely no professionalism and will clearly try to take your money.
