Highmeyer Park

If you don't want to be bothered by many ppl then this is the trail for you. It is easy to get off the trail but I wouldn't say it's easy to get lost.. its a little wooded area! Explore and have fun!!

It gets 5 stars because it is a huge chunk of land that is open to the public. However, there are some things to be aware of before visiting. First off, this is the poison ivy capital of Harborcreek. If you visit between May and November, you can expect almost every tree to be covered in poison ivy. It is also a wetland, which means there is no shortage of mud or mosquitoes. Bug spray is a must! Don't even think of taking a walk without boots. There are signs warning of ticks, but I haven't had any issues hiking in early spring. The last thing to be aware of is the fact that all the trails eventually disappear into open woods. Often, without warning. It would be very easy to get turned around and lost in this place. The good news is that it is only a few hundred acres, so you can pretty easily find the road. Might be a little tricky getting back to the parking lot without looking at the GPS on your phone. There are plenty of free apps that can help with this.
With just a little forethought, this park is great for an early spring or winter hike. Just be aware and considerate of hunting seasons. There is evidence of lots of hunters using this park, but there is plenty of space for all to enjoy.

I enjoy hiking in the mud so I like this place. It's great when it dries out too.
Nice trails and scenery.

The trails were muddy and unmarked, no map, and the buggy were awful.

Trails not marked and very muddy. Beautiful creek and woods. We got lost and ended up on private property.

The parking lot was well taken care of, but that was all. Don't waste your time here. Trees down across the trails & the grass on the trails were high. Quite a disappointment since Harborcreek's other parks are so nice (6 mile Creek Park & Harborcreek Community Park both get A+)

Give it a star for the nature. Don't come here to hike. Came in spring when wet. Horrible experience and in my opinion a waste of time.

Everything is over grown and not taken care of what so ever. I used to come here all the time, but the township has really let the park go
