Hoagie House Cafe

We wanted hoagies and my mom had seen this new place advertised in a local weekly.
IT iS so CUTE and comfortable. My mom kept saying she felt like she was at her grandmother's in Virginia.
We ordered for take out at the counter and then decided to stay.
The food was really good and the price appropriate for the area- maybe even on the inexpensive side.
the staff, including the owner, were friendly and told us some stories of the house.
The walls have kitschy things such as local memorabilia (post cards from old FT Louden, Tshirt of "The Mountain Women," etc).
I say, drive over and give this new place a try, maybe have a game of checkers while you are there.

The hoagie house is literally IN A HOUSE! The subs are freshly sliced meat and they don't skimp on it! The workers are friendly and made me a delicious cold cut sub with bacon!

Subs were delicious and the fries were done just how I like them. The service was was great and the lady who waited on us was so friendly and nice. We will definitely be going back to try something different but the Brisket Sub I had was really good.

The ladies were so nice! Very sweet, and the service was amazing! The food was absolutely amazing! The little house was beautiful inside and out with a classic Americana feel, over-all 100% A+ experience, we will definitely be visiting again for sure!

This place is awesome!! Our family has a cabin in the nearby Cowans Gap State Park and we came into town for lunch but our usual spot was closed. We came here not knowing what to expect and were absolutely blown away by how great the food was and how friendly the staff is. We tried many different menu items (cheesesteak hoagie, brisket hoagie, club hoagie, blt sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, french fries, macaroni salad, ham and potato chower, and coconut cream pie) and ALL of it was fresh, delicious and the portions sizes were very generous. The lady who took our order and served us was so sweet and friendly. And yes it's in a house! Just another reason why the atmosphere was so welcoming. PLEASE check this cute little cafe out!

The BEST hoagies in the area. Fresh, lots of meat, great rolls. You won't be disappointed!

My absolute favorite is the cheeseburger hoagie and cheesesteak wraps with a side of fries and sweet tea!!!

On our way home from kayaking @ Cowan’s Gap and stopped here. Their special was BarBQ brisket. OMGOODNESS, it was wonderful. Husband said he’d drive here (from Shippensburg) to get another one. They just opened Tuesday!!

Most amazing place to get the best hoagies worth the drive, time and money, Owner is amazing cook and so is her right hand woman, just cant wait till she brings back her famous onion rings
