Shades Beach Playground

Beautiful grounds, good beach, well maintained. The boat launch area shows its upgrades. Nice people, great staff! Thank you for welcoming a mid-PA family to your park for the total solar eclipse.

I love it but it's a Big & Beautiful Park... I luv where it's located, it also has a beach off a distance away... the playground is pretty Big w/alot of things to play on....
My almost 3yr. old son had a blast playing he threw a fit wen we had to leave to go home.....

A very nice playground for the kids here. We were here on a nice sunny and temperate day in August. The facility is very nice and well-maintained. The Lakefront is just a short walk away. Watch out for those pesky annoying yellow jackets after your food and drinks, but northwestern PA folks know how to deal with them!

The beach here was beyond beautiful! You can sit on the smooth rocks, enjoy the sandy waters and even collect sea glass!

Great place for the kids. Clean and close to the lake.

My wife and I took our three boys to the beach for the day. We had a fantastic time the beach was clean and the water was perfect. There's even a park right next to the beach for the children when they get tired of being in the water. (Mine never got out of the water🤣)

This is a nice, updated playground with some great amenities for kids off all ages to enjoy. It is close to the picnic pavilion, so it is easy for parents to keep an eye on their kids while sitting at a picnic table. The playground is a short walk from the shorelines of Lake Erie. Peaceful, quiet, and safe environment.

Nice clean park. 1 large Pavillion, and 1 smaller one available for rent. Public restrooms available. (*unsure about availability with covid). If you're willing to walk down a hill you'll be greeted with a large beach area (no life guards so swim at your own risk). Overall a great park area. We love coming here time and time again.

Great public playground with clean amenities. 2 large pieces of playground equipment for the kids as well as a set of swings and a few other toys. Wide open green spaces, public restrooms, pavilions for rent, and lots of parking.

Most asked for playground we have visited in the area. We went here on a Friday after work and my son and daughter always looks for other kids to play with. This particular day there was 2 other boys here one older and one younger and they all played together. All of the kids were "flushing" one another down what they called the "toilet slide" as the wheel at the top of the slide makes them think of a funny loud whooshing toilet. They then deemed this park the "toilet park" and had a blast for over 2 hours chasing and playing and of course flushing one another and even had me flush all 4 of them together. When the other 2 kids left we played for a couple more minutes but it was getting dark and they weren't as interested with no other kids to play with. When I ask after work what playground they want to go to 95%of the time they request the "toilet park". Please don't get offended at the kids silly name for this park as they will always remember it as such because of the wonderful time they had one day after work here.

Shades Beach is one of the most amazing places in the world to watch sunsets. It also has a boat launch. They also have a playground for kids and two Pavilions that can be rented for any occasion. The Pavilions have kitchens for cooking and prepping food. I would highly recommend sheets Beach for reunions, stag and drags or any kind of family get together

Cute playground and park area! Bathrooms were clean. We only went to the beach portion briefly but it was very pretty.

Marvelous Park for large group gathering. Kitchen in two shelters,can accommodate 200+ -300+, large parking lot, playground, restrooms, grassy area, boat launch,and unguarded beach.

Always a clean and well maintained area, this playground is close to the beach with a variety of things for children of various ages to enjoy!
