I was there today with a friend and my 2 year old. The staff were friendly and explained the menu items I was unfamiliar with. It was a great atmosphere and had plenty of seating. The food was delicious and they even had a play area which kept my toddler entertained while my friend and I caught up

The best cortado coffee in the greater Pittsburgh area. Period. The owner is a wonderful lady who cares a lot about her products and the quality of the service she provides. I am always greeted with a smile and we chat about our day, that’s the great thing about neighborhood cafes. Definitely worth a visit when your are in the hood. Also, great place to buy treats from South America.

Small little Venezuelan Café, a good place to enjoy delicious Venezuelan Arepas and other goodies. The desserts are amazing. Try the "Cortadito." Support local Latino business.

A total gem if you're in the Fox Chapel area. Genuine hospitality and the most delicious cortado I've had. Truly an immersive experience. Raina is wonderful. A great space to chill out and knock out some emails.

What a fantastic coffee shop! If you are in the area, close, or want to experience amazing empanadas and hot chocolate, please go to Tu y Yo Cafe. I went today for a business meeting with a client, and I can't wait to return; the owners, the atmosphere, and everything about this hidden gem is great!

When we travel south, such as the Carolinas or Florida, my favorite part of the trip is always the Venezuelan bakeries. I went to one by accident in an attempt to buy donuts for breakfast while on vacation, but I quickly learned the difference. 🤣🤣🤣 Now I seek them out for their empanadas and espresso.

Sadly, there aren't many Venezuelan bakeries in Western Pennsylvania, so this was only a treat when we traveled.

Yesterday, I realized there is in fact one such place and it isn't very far from our house! And I can't think of a better way to start a Monday than with a cortado and an empanada!! 😍😍😍

There are two kinds of people, those who like empanadas and those who haven't tried them yet. Whichever category you are in, you should check out "Tu y Yo Café" on Harts Run Rd. They open at 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends. They also have Arepas.

Over a bridge and 16 miles later one-way, I arrive at my favorite place in the Burg’ —Tú y Yo Café (Spanish for You and I Cafe) nestled among other small businesses in a tiny strip mall with easy access straight into the cafe.

First, I order the cordatido. It’s espresso with sweetened milk and I crave it between visits! It is my absolute favorite and the only place where I can find a “properly” prepared one in the city. I savor each delectable sip while pondering what to enjoy on the premise and what I’ll take with me to-go later. I commonly see others that do the same as I.

They also offer a Toddy; a non-coffee drink; high-quality tasting chocolate milk with origins in Venezuela. There’s nothing like it!

That’s easy. Now it’s decision making time and it becomes more difficult with each visit. I have my favs, yet the delightful owner Grace continues to expand and offer more delectable items to the menu. So, if you see a menu online, know there are likely more choices! Also, Grace welcomes all questions to aid in making a decision.

I chuckle because each time I visit I hear customers declare, “this is so delicious!” and I mirror their sentiment. Today I begin with something new. It’s a warm, hand held savory that’s delicious on its own. The bread is light with a great texture and inside it’s packed with tasty minced ham. Then, tequenos which come in a set of three. Sticks of warm cheese nestled in a savory dough and they are sooo yummy alone or with some Pico de Gallo sauce. Or, opt for the sweet chocolate hazelnut option.

Generally, I always get a beef empanada in-house or to-go. Upon arriving today the aroma of chicken filled my nostrils as they were preparing to make more chicken empanadas because they sold out. It may sound a little crazy for a less adventurous eater, but, I suspect you’ll fall in love with the delicious taste of a beef empanada without identifying the raisins, capers, and green olives. Oh my. I am salivating just thinking about them right now!

The pan de bono (or pandebono) is made with yuca (not yucca) is also outstanding. The small balls of dough have a texture that is just right and served warm, not too sweet, and lovely with a warm beverage.

The cafe ambiance is airy and cozy with many seating options. There’s a gorgeous colorful mural on one wall, a wall of windows on another packed with a myriad of live plants. Packaged international items are available for purchase throughout the cafe. And, there are always really cool inspirational “trinkets” to consider as well.

If only they were closer to home. Dreaming until my next visit.

Ordered the Cuban panini, iced latte, two cookies, and also the toddy. Everything I had was phenomenal. The people working were friendly and kind. I can’t recommend this place more! I spent most of my day here waiting for some mechanical work to be finished on my car nearby.

Visiting from Cleveland, this is the first place my partner and I stopped at. It was an excellent choice! This place has a cozy atmosphere and the staff are super kind. We had the Empanadas, the Tamarind juice, Yucca fries, and the Tres Leches cake. All of it was absolutely delicious. After a long drive, I’m glad we stopped at this place first. As a Brazilian, I felt very much at home.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tú y Yo Café, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped into the cozy and inviting atmosphere, I knew I had found the perfect spot for my business meeting.

To kickstart my morning, I ordered the scrambled egg arepa, and it exceeded all expectations. The arepa was perfectly cooked, with a fluffy texture and a delightful combination of flavors. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, providing a satisfying and protein-packed start to my day.

The chicken and beef empanadas were equally impressive. Each bite was filled with succulent and well-seasoned meat encased in a perfectly crispy shell. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, as every aspect of the empanadas showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

Accompanying my meal, I enjoyed a cup of their black coffee, which was simply outstanding. The rich aroma and robust flavor of the coffee awakened my senses and provided the perfect boost of energy for my meeting. It was evident that Tú y Yo Café takes great pride in their coffee selection and preparation, as each sip was a delight.

The location itself was ideal for a business meeting. The ambiance was comfortable and conducive to conversation, allowing for a relaxed and productive atmosphere. The staff was friendly, attentive, and respectful of our space, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meeting.

Overall, Tú y Yo Café left a lasting impression on me. The quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the excellent service all contributed to a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a delicious breakfast, a quick bite, or a spot to hold a business meeting, Tú y Yo Café is the perfect choice. I highly recommend this charming establishment and look forward to returning soon.

Really cute little Cafe. Extremely kind employees, and delicious coffee. I have only had a ham and cheese arepa, and a dulce de leche cookie, but both were excellent and I look forward to trying more of their menu.

Super hooked on their cortaditos. 👌

Sweet little place off the beaten path with Venezuelan foods (Arepas and Empanadas) plus coffee. Come support our local businesses and enjoy the exploration of new flavors! We had the llanero arepa and the Sifrina arepa. Highly recommend. Plan to come back with the grandkids because they have a cute kid play corner too

What Starbucks? I needed a place to work and figured popular coffee shops would be full. I decided to come here instead and now its my favorite place to work! The vibe is magical, the service is so loving and the coffee is delicious. And the food, yum! You won't find any other place like this one. Totally recommended if you are looking to relax, focus, and have a nice time.

Really enjoyed everything here!
Their cortado is far superior to any other one I have ever had.
There are snacks and desserts, some of which are a little pricey but are very good and freshly made.
It is a cozy spot, a very inviting space.
A family run business wise staff is beyond friendly. They are a real gem and I will occasionally take the tell out there just because I like them so much.
