We went to Echo Lake and stopped by here to have dinner. A nice walk in the town before dinner!

The city administration & staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Dylan Graves in planning is very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Cool place and town with neat shops and nice restaurants all around with plenty of parking behind the City Hall. Make sure you check out the small narrow gauge train in the park behind City Hall. There's also a path that goes under the highway along the river for better views of the waterfall and water wheel

Noticed that there were all these cars with parking violations while we were in Idaho Springs. Went back to my car and had one as well. That’s when we started looking around to see if there was anything that mentioned paid parking. There was a small sign at the end of the street that we didn’t see. And to be honest, we wouldn’t have seen it because of where we were going. There was also nothing else along the street on either side mentioning paid parking. More signs are needed so people know.

Cute town. However the shop owners are rude. Received a parking ticket for not paying to park with over 2 hours remaining on my parking receipt. Great potential, but do not bother visiting! Tourist trap at its finest, working hard to exploit visitors!

This used to be a fun place to stop on our family trips to the mountains. Now they require pay for parking and some of them are not labeled and result in fines. No warnings given, they demand ridiculous fines. Why don’t you expand a public lot to help your businesses instead?

Don't stop by Idaho Springs they have a ticket scam. Even though there were no visible "no parking signs" I received a $50 parking ticket. Go to their website you will see all the silly ways they justify making money off of tourists. Or maybe they just liked my Veterans tag and we're just thanking me for my service. Photos follow

Stopped stopped in Idaho Springs to explore shops and have lunch. We were shocked too find nothing but paid parking. Decided to pay a few bucks as it was such a nice day. Luckily, unlimited some seniors I know, we have a smart phone, the only way to pay. Before it told us how much it would cost, we had to choose how long we would be there. We might have stayed longer, but since it didn't give a price we chose just one to two hours. We were shocked to see the cost was over $10 to park on the street! We left and went to Evergreen. I'm so sorry for the shop and restaurant owners in this cute, historic town. We won't be back.

Me and 3 friends stopped in Idaho Springs to shop local and eat lunch. I was shocked to come out and find a 50.00 parking ticket ! 50.00. We spent over 400.00 locally but will never return. The signage is bad at best. I can see a small ticket but 50.00 ! We will never return to Idaho Springs !

What's with all the paid parking now? An employee at Tommyknockers brewery told me the ParkMobile app company approached you and basically told you "every other mountain town is doing this, so you should too". I use to stop by your town for dinner or drinks after skiing all the time, but it's not worth the time and frustration of finding parking. You have made it more difficult for me to spend my money in your town, not very smart on your end. I will no longer stop in Idaho Springs, and have advised everyone I know to either stop in Georgetown or Evergreen instead. Enjoy your restrictive parking.

The bus shelter feels like you’re sitting inside an enclosed ash tray, surrounded by trash and sunflower seed shells, while a half dozen flies bite you every chance they get. The whole town is a money grab and there’s litter everywhere
