Argo Inn and Suites

So first things first, the room was tidy, with good amenities, and honestly it felt like a room you'd be happy living in, not just a hotel room. Beautiful decorations and blissful heating even in the dead of winter.

Secondly, I visited America for the first time to experience the beauty of travel as well as the country itself. On my trip I shot guns for the first time, hiked a gorgeous snowy mountain, ate at the most amazing creole cafe, but of all the places I went to, nothing beat waking up early here, watching the sun rise on the snow covered porch, with the water of the steam trickling 30 meters away. I daydream about being back here; the location and experience could not have been better. You can even walk down for a minute and sit just along the river bank, such an sending way to start the day.

Chance was the man at the counter I met as I was checking out, very kind and let me keep my suitcase there while I explored the town. Suggested a bunch of great places to visit (unfortunately I ran out of time before I had to catch my bus, but all the more reason to go back some day and find out what a Tommy knocker is!!) Though he was very professional and courteous, I didn't feel like I was talking to someone who was just paid to be a concierge, I felt like I was talking to someone genuinely friendly and invested in making sure I had the best time in Idaho springs that I could! That's a bit of a rarity anywhere I think and I'm glad for it.

Enjoyed the sound of the creek out the back patio of our room, it was nice. Good location. Chance at the front desk was very knowledgeable about the area's attractions.

Came down to Idaho Springs from Summit County in the middle of the night to get a reprieve from ongoing mountain sickness. Slept well and woke up to a pretty riverside room with a balcony. Room was clean and comfortable. Went to check out and had a positive experience with Chance at the front desk. He gave me plenty of suggestions of sights to see in and around town while I awaited my ride to get me back down to Denver. This stay at the Argo Inn was a positive turning point in my quick getaway to the mountains. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely be staying here!

My sister and I stayed overnight here for a quick sister trip to soak at Indian Hot Springs. The room we had here at the Argo Inn was spotless clean. The price is right and we overlooked the river with about 6 Big Horn Sheep rams in the distance above the tailings. It really is a place worth staying - next time I'd like to do a little trip with my husband.

Chance was an absolute joy from check-in to check-out, had a wonderful personality, and was easy to get along with. This location is perfect for roaming around the cozy mountain town and also getting to the springs. We also had a creek-facing room so we could hear the water flowing, it was nice. I would only suggest a top floor room as we could hear the people above us. If we decide to do another overnight we'll definitely be back.

Gotta say very happy with this place, especially for the price, can't beat it. Cozy and comfy and ours had a nice little view out back. Conveniently close to the downtown IS area, would gladly stay here again!

Great location, rooms facing the river, good service. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Chance, who met us at the front desk and took his time to tell us all about the great sightseeing sites to visit in the area.

Check-in Front desk employee was courteous and helpful, greeting was with a smile. Gave exact direction to room and pointed out sidewalk all the way to the door...accommodated for first floor request. Check out front desk employee courteous and kind greeted with a smile. Room was clean , hot water shower perfect! View out back over river was gorgeous, beds were extremely comfy!! Would stay again if in area!!

We had to travel last minute. We pulled in durning a snow storm. The assistant at the front desk was absolutely amazing! I told him what I needed an he literally took care of everything! The rooms were amazing. Very clean, neat, an the most amazing view. Our daughter forgot her bracelets in the bathroom I Ed the front desk an they had the lovely housekeeper Seneyda check. He offered to mail them home for us! It was absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to checkout. Thank y’all so much!

Location was amazing- so close to town and so many different shops. It’s also right by the river so we got to enjoy the peaceful sounds of water.

Rooms were spacious and very clean.

This motel was by far the nicest and cleanest place we have ever stayed at the staff is so helpful and nice and the rooms were so cozy and clean I am impressed. My son and I decided to get out of town for the weekend and I'm glad we found this little spot now it's going to be our new little getaway spot. My 10 Year old didn't want to leave but I promised him we will definitely be back.

The charm of this place is unmatched. With huge whirlpool tubs and gorgeous views, it was so worth staying here. Chase was super friendly and personable, and we were even allowed to check in early. It's so rare that you have a hotel that allows pets. The room was vlean and didn't smell of smoke. No, it's not as high tech and sleek as some of the newer mega hotels, but I think that added to the charm. When I travel, I want to stay in a comfortable bedroom, not some boardroom with a bed. I love this place and will stay again when I swing throw the area.

Front office staff named Chase went out of his way to be very helpful. He took time to provide places to go for sightseeing and how to drive on bad weather. What more can you ask for. View of stream from porch was icing on cake. I will visit again given chance just because of Chance.

The view was amazing, had a patio right outside the room. Great service great rooms and a chair to sit on down by the creek.loved this place would highly recommend 👍 👌

What a gem! I stayed for two nights in a room on the river ... Loved being able to walk right out to the patio and relax. The fireplace and decor in the room was beautiful and really made it feel homey. Very friendly and helpful staff, I'll be back!

What a great little Inn!!!
Had a river view with the wonderful sound of running water and a nice little patio. Service was fantastic. Check I'm and out was easy and they were very informative about Idaho Springs. Ate at one of their suggestions. Just a great place for a little getaway.
Rooms got a 4 star because it just needs to be a little updated.

Clean comfortable room, creek running behind it. Walking distance to restaurants and just 15 min walk to downtown- which is cute

After a long long day with epic Airline travel (delays, diversions, and medical emergencies) I could not make the drive to my destination in Carbondale, CO.

It was 3 am, I pulled over to get a hotel. I called Paul, the night manager, who came to my rescue. He was at the desk in 5 minutes, got me a room and was super polite.

I fell asleep in a cozy (older but quaint) room. It had everything I needed to feel cared for. In the morning when I returned my keys, the day attendant made sure I saw the river and view.

Paul went above and beyond at the wee hour of the night! This hotel is so thoughtful! I was so glad I found it and plan to stay here again on my travel! Thank You from a tired traveler!!

I don’t normally write reviews but as a mom who reserved this place for her traveling son/nephew who unfortunately got stuck on a closed hwy during a snowstorm and wasn’t able to get there and checked in til the middle of the night, I appreciate SO MUCH you answered that phone and still came out to let them check in and get some rest even just for the few hrs they had left before checkout I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!! They said room was nice & clean too. Will recommend and book again if ever in that area.

I was suprised! The room we had was a double queen bed with a patio facing the river! The room itself was very clean, had a coffee maker, fridge, a dresser and plenty of seating. There is access to the river where our kids really enjoyed splashing around in. There is also seating down there & a fire pit. We will definitely come back here.
