Westbound & Down Brewing Company

This is one of my favorite places to go to in Idaho Springs. I always stop by here after skiing at Loveland and Keystone or hiking around the area. The atmosphere is great and the setup of the restaurant/bar is ideal for a quick stop in and eat or just have a drink.

AWESOME, been here twice now, it was so good the 1st time that we made sure to stop again. Food, service, beer/drinks are fabulous! Burgers are super tasty/juicy and the Hefe is GREAT! Super nice Saloon vibe on one side, while modern and up beat on the other. Lots of selections, full bar. Everyone we've encounter here has been friendly and courteous. Highly recommend. I liked their hefe so much that I brought my growler with me and they filled it. Popped it open 3 days later and it tasted fresh!

Such a great brewery and restaurant. They also have a coffee shop next door that makes great drinks.
The beer at the brewery was very good. I tried 4 different ones and they were all enjoyable.
The food: wow! So good. Their green chili is amazing. The burrito has so much flavor! The ahi tuna sandwich was seared perfectly and the sauce added just the right amount of flavor.

Our visit was phenomenal, key word: top-notch service from Hannah. She was knowledgeable and friendly and made our visit so fun, giving that little extra to a menu that didn’t disappoint. All of her recommendations were as promised and she never kept us waiting. I didn’t take any photos because I was too busy enjoying the time, Colorado pale ale and the bison burger, she suggested getting medium rare and it was perfection.

This place never disappoints! Incredible food and even more incredible award-winning beer.

Perfect stop over if you are going up to the mountains or coming back from them. They have been tearing it up in the competitive beer world as well, including a gold medal in the 2023 Great American Beer Festival for their Mexican lager.

We stopped here for lunch on our way into the mountains, and were not disappointed. The beers we tried (Cold IPA, Barrel-Aged Sour, Westbound IPA) all were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the food as well- started with the bao buns, and then shared the smothered burrito and house green chili. Everything was delicious, and the staff was more than friendly and accomodating to us with our two small kids in tow. A great place to start or end your trip when traveling on I-70.

Moon eyes double IPA was refreshing! Outdoor seating has great vibe with views of Dior and Gucci. Heaven!

I had the home brew Juicy and it was delicious!! The fried chicken sandwich was delicious as well. The server and staff were so nice, they heard that we were turn away from the place at the other end of the street and they felt so bad they brought us a free green chili French fry, all in all, under $40.

Always a solid stop when passing thru Idaho Springs! Excellent and prompt service, beer was delicious and food was good. BLT, Ahi Tuna Sandwich, and Burger had by our party. IPA’s and the lagers were good. Will definitely be back for another visit!

We love the Lafayette Westbound & were stoked to visit the flagship. Visited twice on our very short trip into Idaho Springs. Great beer, great food, great space. The beer and specialty cocktails were all very good. Thanks for the swag & an awesome visit!

Best buffalo cauliflower and tofu sandwich around - our whole family looks forward to visiting every time we make it into town! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is great any time of day. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere. The bar in the buffalo room was beautiful and the stools were very comfortable just as the hostess recommended.

The two bartenders were very nice and also very efficient. The “green grass and good times” was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had, definitely the best I’ve had while in Colorado. My husband also enjoyed his Old Fashioned.

The bison burger was delicious. I was stoked to see there was a gluten free option for the bun. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich he thought it was yummy also.

Westbound and Down was a perfect end to a perfect day in the Idaho Springs area.

It's well executed pub food with a modern touch. The fried chicken sandwich is unique with a dark meat patty golden fried with coleslaw on top. The fries are perfectly cooked, and the Caesar salad was delicious and a perfect size for a side. Of course, their beer selection is wide and delicious! Recommended for about anyone.

Love this place so much. Haven't been here since moving to Tucson and what a treat it was to reconnect! Amazing beers and excellent food. Thanks for doing all the amazing things you do, WB&D.

Thought I'd give another shout out amongst many, but this really is an awesome place to grab a bite! Came here with a group of friends after hiking Saint Mary's Glacier. The food was great and I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomato BLT. The space itself has reflections of old time Colorado (there was a beautiful mosaic of a buffalo that I can't get out of my head) while also balanced with a fresh, bright welcoming atmosphere. The brewery and restaurant also has an attached coffee shop, so you can't go wrong.

Great food, super nice server. We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and the server brought out a candle with her flourless chocolate cake and even gave it for free! The burger and fries was absolutely delectable.

This was so wonderful find while visiting Idaho Springs. The menu had a couple delicious options for my vegan diet. The Tofu Katsu was phenomenal. Tama greeted us at the door so joyous that it felt like I ran into a friend. Turns out we share a birthday. Paige was our server, she’s a gem. Her recommendations were fire. 10s across the board for the whole experience.

Great food, great beer, great space! Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. The space had a cool vibe and was busy and vibrant. Our server was prompt and friendly and the food came out quickly. We tried the chicken sandwich, Buffalo chicken sandwich, and our friend tried the cheesesteak. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was really good, as was the chicken sandwich. Our friend said the cheesesteak was good but the Buffalo chicken was better. The fries are also bomb, my favorite style of fries with the crispy outsides. The beer selection was good and the beer itself was really good. We’ll be back soon!
