Lovely hidden gem, self-serve shop. Don’t be shy about walking in if you don’t see anyone. There’s a dog in the neighborhood property whose goal in life is to scare away the cars with his bark, but he is quite friendly once you’re out of the car. Bring cash as there is a cash basket for purchases. I didn’t take photos while I was there but these photos are of one of the mugs I bought, at my home.

What a wonderful hidden gem! We were skeptical at first because when we approached we didn't see anyone around or in the shop, then we noticed the sign said it was a self serve shop! We got to pick out our favorite pottery, wrap it up in newspaper and a bag, and left the total amount in their basket and wrote it down. Not only was this a great experience for all of us but we all 3 ended up getting pottery and even left a tip. It made us wish there were more shops like this. They even had a sweet blue heeler dog roaming around who greeted us.

The best, most wonderful hidden gem of a locally owned pottery shop! Stepping inside is like stepping inside a time warp. Forest is so talented and every time you stop by, it's a surprise of what you might encounter color-wise! These are great gifts and are a definite conversation starter. Highly recommend stopping by!

A few years ago, a family member took me up a winding steep road into the heart of the Rockies to visit a charming pottery shop. I have since visited several times whenever I’m in the Denver area. The handmade items are high quality and fairly priced, with many varieties of patterns and styles to pick from. There is almost always something new I hadn’t seen before. It is a hike from Idaho Springs, but worth it to support a small business and find a new favorite mug.

We have been dropping in here since 2016. I love the mugs that the potter makes. They are beautiful and fit my hand perfectly.

Since the beginning of our relationship my boyfriend and I have come here. At first we stumbled upon this wonderful pottery shop during our scenic weekend drive in 2011 and since buying our first mugs together we come back almost every year. This is one of our favorite places to visit and support as well as bring people who are visiting our lovely state. It's nostalgic. It is beautiful functional art meticulously made and glazed with passion we are so thankful to Forrest and Diane truly you make memories and beautiful pieces that are in our daily lives. What you both do is something I aspire to do one day. Thank you from the bottom of my Colorado heart. I can't wait to see what is new next time! All our admiration Jazmine & Ben <3

Went here as a recommendation by our hosts. Beautiful pottery done by the owner. Our host said the store is open 24/7. There is nobody in the store. You pick out the items you like, write out a description and price and put the money in the basket. Checks and cash no credit. There are also bags, paper and bubble wrap. We love the 2 pieces we purchased.

Charming pottery shop located in the midst of an old ghost town. Good quality pottery and fair prices. The owners have an honor system set up where you can leave cash or a check if they are not around. Worth going out of your way to find!

Maybe I'm delirious,BUT..I seem to remember this pottery place from my winter of '73-'74 in an old stone building lovingly called "Earth House". It was just a half mile or so back towards Central City and up a steep hill to an old mine location. Dear friends Larry and Patty were previous occupants and very fine people to get to know. Hopefully someone will pass this on ...blessings to all.. Jerry

This is such a wonderful shop with high-quality beautiful homemade pottery. It's clear that every piece is made with love, and the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Excellent quality pieces. It was hard to choose, since everything is just gorgeous. We got 4 mugs and a sugar jar. We’ll definitely be back for more.
