Parking, restroom, and a good biking trail. A pretty bridge built in the memory of a local kid, a good stop for a little fishing too as the creek is right there with good access

Nice quiet nook within the mountains that isn't a far drive from Denver. Beautiful river winds along a rocky path, and then sidewalks further down for walking & biking. Parking lot is always nice & clean, bathrooms are primitive but also tidy. When it's warm, you can sit on the large rocks by the water & soak up some sun. When it's snowy, it's still a beautiful view, with a chance of seeing animal tracks in the snow. We saw big cat paw tracks in the snow when we went during New Years weekend.

It may feel secluded & like you're alone, but there is usually a ranger parked higher up the mountain watching everyone. He'll drive down and tell you to move your car if you are parked in a no parking zone or if he thinks something suspicious is going on (we didn't have any issues, but watched it happen to others.)

After adventuring, you can continue west & the next exit is Idaho Springs, for some delicious food & quaint shops, or maybe the hot springs.

Need to visit this beautiful stretch more as I have only drove thru once. Very scenic and interesting views.
