Very friendly staff and the food was great. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last.

Got the Alaskan Whitefish plate.
It was great! Nice portions and cooked up just right.
Excellent service as well.

Update 2/20/2024. Under new management, same folks that own the Americana in Matthews, food is fantastic, restaurant has been spruced up, I'm so glad that it's back open. The new folks are super nice, dining area is clean. I cannot say enough about the food, country style steak and mashed potatoes, fried squash and green beans, delicious, absolutely delicious.

Had grilled pork chop special with collards and fried okra. Was cooked excellent. Great service and friendly staff

This place has definitely been getting better with some new management . Hopefully it will keep on moving forward. New operators starting February 2024. Tonight was the first night. Food was good service was good. The ran out of a few sides but no big deal. I think they underestimated the volume today. I'm sure they will take of that. It was clean inside. I'll come back in a few weeks and see how it goes once they get a few kinks worked out .

So I went to this place about ten years ago blahh..BUT NOW it is under a NEW owner and the food is absolutely amazing I get the fried pork chop and it is seasoned just right batter on the squash was great and a super friendly on the wallet. Its deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bob's is a nice local spot. You walk in and are greeted as if you are an old friend. Food is good and they have a wide variety to satisfy all.

I love the food at Bob's. I love how the menu has a variety of different foods to make your taste buds happy. From Seafood, pizza, subs, or burges, you will have no issue finding something on the menu that you like. The service is outstanding, and the owner is very personable as he comes out and talks of customers all the time.💜

I have ordered here on DoorDash several times over the last month and the food here is so good, and is also consistent. There are many restaurants where you have to worry about if the food is going to be of the same quality every time, and Bob's surely is. The cheeseburger is good, but my favorite thing is the Alaskan Whitetail!!! The hushpuppies are great and the fries blew my expectations out of the water. I've worked in restaurants before and know how easy it is to over cook fries, especially crinkle cut. Many places also do not know how to season fries and they just taste bland. Bob's does a good job in seasoning and cooking perfectly. One of my favorite finds in the area.

Friday night are for fish. Salt & pepper flounder, white beans, nanner puddin and hush puppies.

Owner is nice and friendly. Our order was cooked perfectly and was very delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a well cooked southern meal. Definitely gonna come back here again.

Stopped in for lunch with my two young girls. The server was very friendly and attentive, and both her and another lady (the owner perhaps?) checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was good: we ordered the fried catfish plate, kid’s shrimp and fries, and banana pudding. My youngest is still in a high chair (and has but two little teeth), and the server came back to ask if she would like some applesauce; I appreciated the suggestion. They offer a large menu for a small restaurant, plenty of options to choose from.
My only dislike was the disposable plates and plastic ware, seems like it would create a lot of waste over time.
We were treated wonderfully by all the staff we interacted with. It strikes me as a place where locals come regularly just to shoot the breeze - but the genuine hospitality extends to new visitors as well. The next time we’re in Midland we’ll come back!

Been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed what I've gotten. Good family restaurant. Good home cooking. I had their s&p catfish the other night and it is hands down the best I've ever had.

My family and I go here at least once a week. Food is always good and hot. Love the pita burgers, especially with everything on it.

Myself, sister in law and mother in law, picked this place off of Maps on our way to Florida, what a great spot. Staff was really friendly, food was fill your belly home style food.
Most definitely will choose this restaurant again, maybe next time there will be steak for the Pennsylvania women...lol.

If you haven't been here, you're missing a treat. This is country home cooking at its best. All the fish and vegetables are served fresh. The portions are big and the servers are all friendly and attentive. The price is in line with the servings. Give them a try.
