This place is hands down the best chicken joint in the area. Everything I have ordered from there has been hand breaded and delicious! The staff is always very friendly and fast! My family and I eat here several times a week as it is also quite affordable. The tea and lemonade is always tasty. They have great home made baked beans. I have tried most of the menu and have not been disappointed yet. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Lesser expensive , good fried foods. We had catfish and cod with fries and two hush puppies for $7.99. . And side order of onion rings, golden fried just right.

I absolutely love it. The food is amazing and one of my favorite burgers. I’ve been coming since I was child with my grandparents.

I tried the popcorn chicken this time and it was super good! More than enough to share. Fast, courteous service. I've never had to check my bag to see if they got it right or forgot something. Always fresh and hot and just what I ordered.

Family oriented environment! Service here is prompt and the quality of the food here is great and all the dishes served are my favorite....I recommend the hamburger steak dinner or the fried chicken... chicken is the bomb!! And last but not least that's my favorite actually is chili cheese fries ever and a large chili cheese fries is probably enough for two people as a side with entree...staff make you feel like you are with family

Customer service was wonderful and the food was delicious!!!. The chicken is well seasoned and falls off the bone. Not sure how they prepare their chicken, but it's Amazing!!! I have to stop everytime I come to visit my parents The Hudson's. Shot out to Mom and Dad for sharing The Butchers Block with us. It's their favorite spot in this area. The double burger was a little over cooked but huge!!!... it was a monster!!!

This is a hidden treasure. I was in town my daughter told me I should try them. Definitely recommend the birddog!!! Fantastic food I will definitely be back!!

We were in Manchester for the funeral of a loved one. Afterwards, there was no repast, so we were going to head back home to Atlanta. We turned into a Marathon gas station & convenience store to get snacks. Right next door we noticed people going in and out. We soon realized it was a food restaurant. I got back out of the car and went in. I spotted fried chicken. The friendly lady at the register said that if I didn't get some fried chicken that I'd be missing out big time. Because my mom doesn't do spicy, I asked if the chicken was spicy and she said no. Since we hadn't eaten, I took a chance. When I tell you that was one of the BEST decisions I ever made, it would be the understatement of the year. I purchased fried chicken baskets for the two of us. My mom is the queen of cuisine at my house, but we BOTH agreed that this was hands down the BEST FRIED CHICKEN WE EVER ATE FROM ANY TAKE OUT JOINT IN GEORGIA!! THE FOOD WAS SO HOT AND GOOD THAT WE CONTEMPLATED DRIVING BACK TO MANCHESTER THE FOLLOWING DAY (except they're closed on Sundays). In fact, their menu said (and I paraphrase), "We're closed on Sunday, so go eat with your mama." Needless to say, I would go back in a heartbeat! Plus I'd love to also try the fried grouper, catfish and shrimp as well as the other sides. The chicken and fries were piping hot. Even the leftovers were still warm when we got back to Atlanta. We ate our leftovers later that night. I can promise you that I will return more sooner than later. Now that I've written this review, I almost wish I hadn't so that we could have the chicken all to ourselves, but that would be selfish. The Butcher Block Cafe deserves everybody's business!

I was down here working from Atlanta...I loved the Sampler Basket it was fresh and hot and the Lemonade was Bomb...Will be going back to Eat

First time Ive ever eaten here and their popcorn chicken is better than Chick-fil-A’s nuggets. The services was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back

My fav is the grouper fish. Hush puppies are addicting too. The chicken is a close tie with the fish. They have a variety of other foods as well that are so delicious. Potato logs, chic salad, pork chops, hot wings in her homemade sauce, potato salad...and if in season, the best chicken and dumplings you'll ever put in your mouth so much to choose from that will leave u full and happy. Allyson (owner), JoJo, and Chris give the best service. And cleanliness is A+.

Absolutely amazing service feels so homey in there, and feels like you wont be judged, The people who work the counter have amazing attitude, will definitely be going back because the food is amazing!!!

I live 2 and a half hours away but my son lives in Manchester so everytime I go to visit, I have to eat at Butcher Block.

The best chicken in Meriwether, Ga. County. Always friendly employees. Always ask if I need condiments, etc...... the sides are good too!
