A friend recommended this place, and it was nothin but positive vibes from when I arrived. It was a Friday night and the live band, Overboard Party Band sounded great, good lookin crowd, and a "feels like home neighborhood bar" feeling to the place. Can't comment on the food because I only had a pretzel, yet it was tasty. Food looks like it'd be good especially considering the very affordable value prices. Check it out, and you'll likely feel right at home too!

Love this place. Cool spot to just kick it. Mickey is my favorite bartender. He knows my drinks before I sit down. Always have a good time here.

we went and had a great time. The band was loud for sure. "I liked it" The place was packed and of course there was some punks showing their azz, being bullies.
Had decent food and beers. First time there we will go back. I will just make sure to bring some friends so I can have a better time.

I played a gig there with my band FUSEBOX. The staff is friendly and fast, and the cuban sandwich was to die for.

Hate when customers spill drinks on the dance floor then blame staff for spilling.

Great bar! The bartenders Jeff, Mickey and Katie are all great and work together so well too! Never an empty drink waiting while you’re in here it’s like ESP when you need a refill!

Excellent bar with a great staff (my man Mickey 👊🏻💯), really good food, & plenty of games to play with lots of televisions all around the establishment. Good spot for Clearwater/Largo locals 👍🏻👌🏻👍🏻

Clean bar, dimly lit, locals drive bar feel. Easily found conversation and easy to be left alone if your in a mood. Nice crowd of all ages, but leans toward a more mature group. Good drink prices and full bar. Bartenders are friendly and very personable. Daily food specials with quick service. Clean restrooms as well. Over all a really nice place to stop in for a drink.

I really liked this place. It's a locals pub with a menu. You can watch sports here if you like but it is not a focus point from what I gathered. We wanted to watch football but the locals welcomed my boyfriend and I to conversation and we had a blast. We ordered fried mushrooms and boiled peanuts. I loved the mushrooms. Our drinks were great. Served up by Tabatha. Being from Minnesota I can appreciate a bartender who makes a great whiskey press. There is no longer smoking inside which is a HUGE plus. I will definitely be back

Came to Monkey Bar to meet a friend after work. I'm not a bar person but I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. It was very clean with a friendly atmosphere. The bartender was attentive, food came fast and the quality was A+
