Rumba Island Bar & Grill

The highlight for me was the service; the staff is very friendly and helpful. Food and atmosphere are good. Their shrimp bisque is really good. Free parking on their lot. Several spots were available during peak hours. Nice selection of drinks.

I go here for lunch often. Always good. They have a great patio and bar. Fun place! I did have one bad experience with the hog fish looking like it was from the day prior but usually it's very good. I should have said something but it was late and I was hungry so just ate it. I survived. Really like this place tho. Highly recommend the Rumba salad with the hogfish.

We have driven past this place many times. This time we were looking for dinner someplace we hadn't stopped before.

First of all, I love the ambiance. The hosts station is outside, in front of the outdoor bar. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and they had live acoustic music on a Sunday night. But we chose to be seated inside.

The inside area still feels like an island bar. High open ceilings adorned with wicker ceiling fans over an open floorplan. The atmosphere helped foster a relaxing end to a day at the beach. I would visit again just to sit and enjoy the environment.

Everyone from the hostess to the server to the person who brought out our meals was welcoming and friendly. Everyone genuinely seemed to be enjoying their evenings, and showed a sincere interest in creating a positive dining experience. Our server could have perhaps been slightly more attentive, but overall we were pleased.

Now the food... That's the key, right? They started us off with cornbread muffins that were delicious. My wife isn't a cornbread fan, but even she found them enjoyable. She ordered jumbo shrimp (they were definitely jumbo), along with vegetables and parmesan mashed potatoes. I had pulled pork with the same mashed potatoes and fries (loading up on the carbs). The fries were simply ok. The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy, topped with fried onion straws and fried plantain. Fantastic. The menu says the pulled pork is smoked fresh daily, and I believe it. But next time I'll have them put the barbecue sauce on the side. It was a bit much for me.

Overall, I felt we got excellent value for our dinner. $35 bought two dinner plates and a soda (one of us had water to drink). Considering we had the cornbread, and each had a tasty entree and two sides, and as good as the food was, we were pleased.

In short, do I recommend? Absolutely. And we will for sure eat here again!

Came after a spa day bachelorette and we had a large party of 10 people and were sat quickly without a res. Quick service, large portions, and affordable prices! I got the pulled pork which was only $14 and came with two sides. 3 of us split the nachos and they were so good! The Berries and bubbles bubbling cocktail was delicious and so pretty!

One of the best dining locations and experiences in the Clearwater area. Rumba Island Bar & Grill is conveniently located with easy access to and from the surrounding areas. The restaurant is in a safe area and has ample parking.

The wait staff was amazing, courtesy, and attentive. I was fortunate and last two times I was there, I had an incredible waitress (definitely ask for Emily). The appetizer, entrée, and dessert recommendations were exactly 💯 spot on and definitely worth trying. If you're looking for suggestions go with Firecracker Shrimp for an appetizer, Shrimp and Grits OR Mahi Mahi Stuffed for your entree, and Key Lime Pie for dessert. I'm currently working my way down the menu with the help of suggestions from the wait staff.

Another thing to consider is peak times and crowds, don't let that deter you from coming in and trying it out. I had very little wait when it was packed during a peak period.

We really like this place. The food is very good and there’s a lot of options. They had some great group and some chicken as well. I would definitely come back here again. The service was fast and the atmosphere is really nice. Anything that you order with chicken will be smoked in their smokers outback. And amazing.

Very tasty appetizers! The price was good and you can't beat all day happy hour! Our waiter was just good, not outstanding but good. Overall will definitely be back!

We had brunch here. I had the grouper sandwich that came with slaw. The slaw was great, btw. I order a side of fries. My only criticism is that they were so salty I didn't want them. My fiance ordered the grouper & shrimp omelet & it was yummy. The fish was cooked just right. Our waitress was very good. The mimosas were $2.99. Well, be back, that's for sure.

Spacious outdoor patio, excellent customer service, wide variety of island food, two for one drinks all day. Lots of free parking.

Really good food! We went on a Sunday night and it was BUSY. Probably half an hour wait to be seated, but the food came pretty quick. Parking is a little tough when they're that busy. We had lobster bisque and shrimp, mahi mahi and jerk wings. Everything we had was great. I loved the dry ice in the blueberry lemon drop - it added a cool effect to a really delicious drink.
We ate outside and they had plenty of heaters going to keep it comfortable.

Rumba Island Bar & Grill will have you dancing with joy and contentment! Compliments to the chef and entire staff, especially our server Dawn! We enjoyed the delicious taste of Shrimp and Lobster bisque, the Mahi Mahi meal, and let's not forget about the 2 For 1 Classic Margaritas!The joint efforts of all the employees of Rumba had us completely satisfied with our first, but not last visit to this excellent culinary establishment!

Reasonably priced excellent seafood. Must stop if you're hungry.... our server "Jarod 8" was perfection. The seafood is impeccable aND the pasta rasta is as on-point as it could be. Delish from the 1st bite to the last

We had a 30 minute wait on a Wednesday evening & almost left because we were so hungry BUT we are so glad we stuck it out. The food absolutely exceeded our expectations. We got the chicken nachos as an appetizer & it was definitely the move! And my husband and I both got the Mahi Mahi on the mashed. I can’t remember the exact name but our waiter said it was one of the most popular dishes ordered & we see why!! We ate every bite. The way it was plated surprised us as well! It felt like we were treated like we were at fine dining & we expected more of a local pub experience. So we left smiling! Definitely would recommend this spot.

I had the fried shrimp lunch special with the island Cole slaw. First I ordered a Classic Margarita. It was happy hour. So here comes two. My sister had the salad with chicken. The service was great, the food was delicious. I’ll be back I want to try their hogfish. It’s very popular on the menu. They have live music in the evenings.

A definite go to place for good food and good service. Had lunch there today for first time and it was great. Get the shrimp and grits! The grits are baked after boiling (it's how garlic cheese grits are made). Topped with bacon crumbles, chopped green onions and a rich sauce that'll make you think you died and gone to heaven. My wife had salmon cakes that were crispy on outside and tender, flakey on the inside. Jesse was our waiter and he was attentive but not pushy with great timing. He was also helpful as to what is available and what wasn't. Definitely be back.

I love this place , it has great food and drink specials . I don’t live in the area but I came a year ago and this weekend when I drove by I remembered it right away . So I made it a point to come back , it’s a great restaurant with a nice ambiance. The complimentary corn bread was delicious and so was the sea bass dish that I ordered . The two for one drink I ordered was good but couldn’t used a little more rum . You can’t complain because two drinks for under $9 is almost unheard of . Over all I love this place and will be back whenever I’m in the area . Definitely recommend.

We accidentally went to Rumba when it was “brunch” time and were initially disappointed that we couldn’t order off the regular menu but we were able to find something to satisfy our hunger. The muffins are a must! Just order a dozen when you sit down. I had the salad with grilled chicken and he had the steak and eggs. Our host was so pleasant and our server was decent.

Just returned a month or so later to get a to-go order and I’m increasing my rating because the service was great and the food was good too. We had the Rasta pasta with grilled shrimp and Caribbean pulled pork.

Bonus points for letting me sit with my puppy at the bar to eat a key lime pie while waiting for the to-go order!

Best fish sandwich (Hog Fish) and Cole Slaw I have had hands down. I will be coming back whenever I make it over to Clearwater.
