It's ashame to find out this place is permanently closed.

Everytime my friend and I would go to North Carolina, eventualy we would head to Brasstown and stop in for a few laughs, music and a soda at Clay's Corner.

You never know what you would find at the, 'O Possum Capital of the World'. A very unique place for sure. As you would imagine, there claim to fame, is to know everything about possums.

Ran outta fuel, coasted just about to the store. Some ol' boys pushed me to the pump. It was pretty awesome. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks a bunch.

After a week at John Campbell folk school I discovered that I had a low tire and was directed to Clay's corner. The store is right out of the past, and the guys in the store were helpful. Unfortunately someone had stolen the hose for the air compressor but they were able to direct me to the next station. If you are in the area drop by and visit you will enjoy yourself.

I live out of State and came to visit my Parents who recently moved into the area. I stopped by this store because I heard so much about it. Such friend down to earth people. A great little southern hospitality store. Great place to just stop and relax for just a bit.

I enjoyed the bluegrass music very much! It was fun seeing two people with possum costumes on. My friend and I had our picture taken with them! It was a once in a lifetime experience!

Great small town store.. Was even more fantastic whenever they would do the POSSUM DROP for New Years!!! (my birthday)

Clay's Corner has a lot of history. And, from grocery essentials, gas, and posters, to ice cream cones and Blue Grass "Pickin" Friday night jam sessions , you can experience the feeling of a down home good ol' country store. Clay and Judy are the best and you can rub elbows with the locals. A friendly place around the corner from the John C. Campbell Folk School. On New Years Eve it is more fun than Time Square to see the 'Possum Drop. Brasstown has quaint shops and galleries.

I needed a fuse for my motorcycle, and they had it! My buddy stopped to buy a possum t-shirt and some canned possum meat, and I was lucky with the fuse.

Great old country store, does not sell alcohol but sells amazing ice cream!

Enjoy stopping by and visiting with friends. Stop by and say hello to Clay, his son and grandson.

Must visit old fashioned general store with an old fashioned southern hospitality atmosphere.

Amazing jokes, great stories and great customer service.

Phenomenal selection of candy and chips.
