Discovery Beach Cafe

Possibly the best food in Cocoa, I kid you not. They say everything is scratch made, and I absolutely believe it. The crab cakes are more crab than cake and are wonderful. The fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken was so good that I didn't even get to snap a photo of it before it was gone. This place is a true gem!

I wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised. Food was made to order.
Chicken tenders were breaded when ordered.
Fries were fresh cut.
Nachos were fresh fried flour tortillas and real cheese.
Mahi was good.
A little gripe- $1 for jalapenos for my nachos? Eh..

Again, I was pleasantly surprised!

We have a week at Discovery Beach every October and finally made it to the Cafe for lunch. Service and food were very good and prices reasonable. Would definitely go back.

Never disappoint, had the shrimp scampi and now I will have to share because it was so much. And of course I had the escargot appetizer.

Great little hidden gem as stated in other reviews. I had a salad that was delicious. My kids enjoyed the kids menu, live music was an added bonus. Valarie was our server, very attentive, fair prices, I definitely recommend it. Indoor and outdoor seating.

We sat on the patio, and our bartender was amazing!

We have been going to Discovery Beach for over 25 years. Every year, we enjoy happy hour at this bar.
The staff is awesome!

I had the BLT sandwich with the freshly cut french fries. I can only say that it was an awesome BLT sandwich and with the fried egg, it was phenomenal. The fries were fresh and crisp. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and finished it in time before the common brief rainstorm.

As a PSA, since it's the offseason, they are currently only open from Friday-Sunday in September.

2nd review: It was so good and reasonably priced previously that I returned Friday night (Karaoke night) and had a blackened fish sandwich/fries and Saturday afternoon to the outside tiki bar and got a Toucan Sam drink. Everything I have had here had been fabulous.

This is a restaurant within a resort. We stopped by for lunch after seeing reviews that this was a hidden gem. They were right! There were many options on the menu including crab cakes but we all settled on burgers and fries or chicken tenders. The burger and huge hand cut fries were nothing short of amazing! The chicken tenders were some of the best I have ever had. Drinks were made well, outdoor seating, easy parking even though we were not guests of the resort.

Looks like a small tiki bar for only this building. Whole restaurant inside open to the public! Half pound hamburger with 3 free toppings on Thursdays. Potato skins and French onion soup were great. Various drink specials. They are becoming our go to place for a quick drink and food or meeting people for a get together!

UNBELIEVABLE!! Was recommended this spot and went in thinking it was going to be another resteraunt with deep fried food. I was so wrong. Everything was delicious and made from scratch. Amazing waitress. I recommended the pasta, I almost didn't get it thinking it would be bland and boring but it ended up being the best I have had in Brevard. Rivals Villa Palma for quality and flavor.

So nice to find a little place that has good food. I second the reviews about the fresh fried tortilla chips and fries. French dip was great. Very low key place and server was very nice.

Lovely little restaurant. Wide variety of appetizers and catch of day options as well as many sandwiches and entrees . Right on the beach and the employees were down right wonderful, wonderful people. Always eat here when we visit Cocoa and they seem to do a very nice carryout service. Reasonably priced and just a pleasure to dine at. Look forward to the next time we get a chance to come back to visit.

This place is a hidden gem. The menu has everything. Great food. Great drink. Great prices. Maybe the best part is the bartender Kool Aid who is so fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere. Awesome and amazing!!!!! Don’t come here this is our place. 🙂

This is one of those out of the way restaurants that the "locals" frequent. You wouldn't know it was there unless you were staying at Discovery Beach as a guest. It is located in the rear of the building behind the pool.
Great food! We usually eat here at least once a month and is usually where we take our Guests from out of town.
They have specials for Lunch and Dinner. Everything on the menu is good. It is a smaller restaurant with a great bar. The atmosphere is just right.

We did a day trip to Cocoa Beach during our vacation to Orlando. First thing, this little cafe is tucked away in a hotel, tiny little corner, basically the definition of “hole in the wall.” It was delicious though. We’re from the West Coast and so we have an idea of what we want when we go to the beach. However, if you’re from the West Coast, don’t expect typical west coast food. My husband and kids got clam chowder and it was just slightly different than what we’re used to, my husband described it as “white but brothy” and it had more body and flavor. I got Alfredo, and I love that they put enough sauce on it. Also, on the west coast we’re used to sourdough. There is no sourdough in Orlando as far as we’ve run into, but it did come with some garlic toast. My husband got a steak, and said it was delicious because of the garlic butter on top.

Overall, great service, polite, and delicious with just slightly different food.

Best salads! Wide variety on menu good drinks and service with a smile! Enjoy the fact you dont have to be a member to enjoy this quiet little cafe!
The owner was amazing catering to all our needs while overseeing the daily operations. Will return!
