BubbaQue's BBQ - Crystal River

My hope for Florida BBQ has been restored. I saw the smoker stack billowing smoke upon entering. Immediately knew this place is for real. Greeted by very nice host, and even nicer waitress. I ordered an ice cold Stella as usual and after scanning the menu I ordered the combo meal which contained a pile of pulled pork, quarter chicken, 3 large St Louis ribs and Mac n cheese on the side with a piece of Texas toast. The table has a rack of about 10 different sauces to your liking. The food comes well seasoned and it's up to you to add the sauce which I love, so i chose them all ! They were 100% professionally smoked and delicious. There's a ton of food to choose from so choose wisely!

Crystal River is definitely the best BubbaQue's BBQ location. If you've had the unfortunate experience of visiting one of the others and have made your final judgment based on those, you will be missing out on the best BBQ Florida has to offer, the best service, and an all around great atmosphere. I've been to a few other locations in Florida, and everything from the food, definitely the service, and the atmosphere is different. The owners, Steve and Debbie, have done an amazing job at building and keeping their location top-notch. Steve has perfected the art of all things BBQ. His passion for smoking the perfect cuts of meat and combining them with some of the best southern sides and sauces keeps the locals and our constant flow of tourists in Crystal River coming back for more. It's rare to come in for a meal with the family or to have a drink or two at the bar without seeing Steve or Debbie. They are known for their kindness and hard work, and their presence as owners at the restaurant keeps the employees on top of their job. If you're looking for BBQ within driving distance of Crystal River, do yourself a favor and go give BubbaQue's a try. You'll be happy you did.

I really loved how kind our server Emily was. And there was another server walking around (manager maybe?) chatting with everyone and making sure they were doing okay. Emily was great with figuring out my friend's dietary restrictions and helped us concoct a really delicious meal that wouldn't have her suffering later. I love the idea of adding an order of meat to the salad bar to make a full entree! And props to said wandering server who guided us in how the pineapple marshmallow salad was made. It was SO good and turned out to be a safe food for my friend. Will definitely be back and I may end up buying a sauce to go because the spicy and smoky are both really good.

Food was great. The BBQ sauces and hot sauces were amazing. All the food and drink we had were incredible. They easily accommodated our large group of 9 and all of us loved our food.

Our first time there and it was great! Food, atmosphere and service all excellent! Salad bar looked great too! We had smoked turkey sandwich, pork and brisket platter and Bubba corn nuggets- all delicious! See you next year for sure!

Amazing food! The salad bar is a must. By far one of the best I’ve seen… so many options! I got the Mac n cheese with brisket. The brisket was probably top 5 in my book. Super tender and great flavor. My husband got brisket and the ribs. He said the ribs were better between the two. The ribs were fall of the bone tender and super good. Best part was all the sauce options. But man, that salad bar 🤌🏻 amazing!

Here for work so I thought I’d try this place based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. I had the Monday special which was bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was very good. Brooke was wonderful and answered all of my questions. It was my first time eating at a BubbaQue’s. I’ve already looked to see if there’s any more locations close to home (TX).

Brooke took care of us and the food was good. Chicken was over cooked a bit, but add the sauce and it was great! I ordered the big bubba dinner meal and desserts were funnel fries and fried oreos.

I got the all you can eat salad bar and had a real go at it......great salad bar with extras like Chili, Red Neck Stew and Meatballs plus delicious fresh fruits along with all the best salad fixings. I loved it and yes I had everything on the salad bar that wasn't nailed down. Wife had BBQ sandwich with slaw and fries. She enjoyed the BBQ and tried two or three of the delicious sauces that were on the table. She commented on how good the slaw was. We enjoyed and will return.

Good southern BBQ. Just as it was meant to be. Did not try the salad bar. It was an add on and did not specify if it was one plate only. But was not there for the green stuff. Tried multiple sauces on the pulled pork. All were tasty and not overpowering. Highly recommend this spot!

They lowered the price on their amazing salad bar! It's an entire wall of goodness; every salad ingredient is represented, and there's soup, stew, chili, and nacho fixin's!

Honestly, There were three of us dining today, and we all got different meals. The turkey dinner was fantastic. Some of the best steamed broccoli I’ve ever had. The turkey was Juicy and seasoned perfectly, and a very big helping I may add. Pulled pork dinner was also very good Also, like that, you can pick your own barbecue sauce to go on it nice touch. Third dinner was a chicken sandwich with fries…. One word, •••••••delicious!!!
Our server, who, by the way, was extremely nice, Persuading us into dessert (wink wink 🤣🤣🤣) And we’re glad she did. Fried Oreos or amazing and funnel fries••••out of this world!!!!
Here’s a tip though… Pay with cash because if you pay with credit card you’re going to be stuck with the 2.5% charge On top of your bill. To me it’s no big deal just paying cash but to some people it is a turn off that’s the only thing I would change about this place

OMG, best pork ribs I have ever had. Actually fell right off the bone. The waitress Emily was AMAZING. So helpful in helping decide our choices..we will be back on Wednesday

Excellent service with Erika at the bar. So attentive. Happy Hour Beverages, $3 hose wines, beers, & well drinks. Great barbecues plates with sides. I had pulled pork with Fried okra & Mac n cheese. My husband had St Louis style ribs with collard greens & tater salad. Excellent assortment of sauces. So reasonable. Owner even asked how our service was outside. Great fun place... We will be back.

as busy as it wasthe two wonderful waitress were on the job. service was excellent, the food and salad bar were deliciousness we dine in. Will be going back . My granddaughter will love it. My Son was really impressed

Great bbq joint! My husband is a BBQ person! He ordered the pulled pork sandwich, I ordered the sausage & my mom just got the salad bar. All the food was good, ours was hot & fresh. Will be back

Tried 9 different sauces and I definitely have some favorites. Very quaint place with a rustic feel. Salad bar buffet, lots to choose from. I myself had to go with the full rack of ribs. Meat fell right off the bone and had some mad flavor.

Had a great lunch today. The salad bar was fresh and very good. The BBQ chicken was moist and delicious. Our server was excellent. Thank you Casey!!!!

My first time here, food was delicious, and the fries were hot and crunchy. Mmmm. I order pull pork sandwiche, baked beans, and fries. Our server, Ashly, was amazing, with a big smile all the time. That makes our time enjoyable.

I was extremely impressed with my recent visit to this restaurant. I elected to sit at the bar and was given tremendous service by the bartender on duty. I dined on a beef sandwich, and french fries, both of which were cooked to perfection. The prices are reasonable the service is fast in the atmosphere is very good as someone who travels frequently, I would highly recommend taking the time to stop and enjoy good barbecue at this restaurant.
