Ron Jon Surf School

Thank you to the owner and instructor Victoria for the perfect surf lesson. We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise and I’m so glad we ventured out on our own and booked the 2-hour lesson with Victoria for my 11-year-old daughter who has never surfed before. From the beginning to end, Victoria was patient and informative. The 2 hours breezed by and my daughter can actually stand on a surf board! I was very impressed with what they were able to cover in the initial lesson. My one advice for other cruise goers is to arrange your own transportation instead of doing the group shuttle. In terms of the surf school, you can tell the owner takes pride in her business and I would highly recommend a surfing lesson to everyone who has an interest! Enjoy.💕

Had Carlos as an instructor and he was amazing. This was such a fun experience!! If you’re on the fence about doing this, do it!! I’m a 44 yo guy who has never surfed and by the end of the one hour lesson, I was able to ride some waves!! Carlos is incredibly knowledgeable and patient and explained things in a way that was easy to understand and put into practice! I highly recommend

Our surf instructor Victoria was very nice, friendly, and professional. Our two hour beginner lessons were great at Ron Jon Surf school! I would recommend starting the lessons early in the day when the waves are better and more consistent.

We took the family down to Central Florida to do all the theme parks and such, but having "surfed" Lake Michigan as a family before, we wanted to surf Cocoa Beach too. So, after an entire week of Disney, Universal, and Sea World Discovery Cove (and a lot of money for tickets and such), what do you think brought the most excitement? Yup, surfing Cocoa Beach with our instructor, Jullian. Yes, we went on rides in Orlando and had a good time there - but when you hear your teenage daughter (who generally looks like she can't take another minute with you), say, "Dad, surf this wave with me!" or sincerely say unprovoked "Dad, I really like surfing" it just tugs at my emotions. Thank you Jillian for a day that I will not forget!!!

My son did a week long camp. This school is fantastic! He loved his instructor and can't wait to do it again.

Excellent Surfing School! My son took only one lesson. Dave, the instructor, is amazing. My son enjoyed the lesson. Highly recommend school.

I'm so glad we signed up our daughter for a surf lesson here! Jillian was a great instructor. My daughter had so much fun and she was able to get up on the board and surf! So fun to see her learn something new and do it in an hour. If my other kids want to learn later on, I know where to bring them!

Dave is a great instructor with cool, relaxed vibes. It was my partner and I’s first time surfing, Dave taught us all the basics and helped us gain confidence in the water. We felt good enough to get some rentals the next day and keep practicing on our own. Recommend this school to anyone who’s been thinking about trying to surf!

This was the most fun I've had in a while. My instructor, Lauren, was amazing. I have never surfed before, but she had me surfing in no time. She is a great instructor and I highly recommend this school!

Absolutely fantastic experience! CJ was incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived. He created such a friendly and supportive atmosphere that I felt right at home. His teaching skills are top-notch, and it was the best lesson I’ve ever had. Even though I was a complete beginner, CJ had me up and riding waves in no time. His clear instructions and encouraging attitude made learning so much fun and surprisingly quick. I can’t recommend CJ enough – if you’re looking to learn how to surf, he’s the instructor you want.

Larry was awesome! Great instructor, lots of energy and super friendly. My kids loved the lessons and want to come back. Highly recommended. Sleep, eat, and surf.

We had an AMAZING time doing semi-private lessons here in November 2017. We booked two-hour semi-private lessons for two teen girls from MN. The weather was 79 and sunny and the girls thought the water was a perfect temp. They were given rashguards to wear for the lesson and after a safety briefing, were off to the beach! They were both up and surfing within the first couple tries. There were four students and one instructor, which was a great balance as the other two students were adults. They had a blast with their instructor, a local with a ton of great knowledge and experience, and wished they could stay longer. I cannot recommend them enough! Great price, great interaction, and the kids had a wonderful time!

We booked a 1 hour session on the first day of our trip. Very much worth it! Larry was awesome! He had us catching so many waves. Thanks Larry and Ron Jon surf school for making our surf trip a great success!

Awesome experience from start to finish. A lovely family run establishment. Jillian was an awesome instructor and provided the feedback needed to get me up and riding in a short period of time. She was encouraging and clear in her instruction.

Amazing lesson with Carlos, even as a beginner with no surfing experience. Frankie also captured some awesome photos that were definitely worth the extra cost. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to begin surfing!

I took a surf lesson with them last January. My first time surfing at 36. It was a small class so I had my own instructor and another couple had theirs. They were both very friendly and she helped me get up on many waves during the class. The waves were pretty low energy that day, but I still managed to get up on a good 50% or so with the instructor telling me when to start paddling and when to pop up. I have a strong background in snowboarding and swimming, so I’m sure that helped out. I had a great time and I’ll be doing it again next trip to FL. Planning a trip right now. We even had a manatee and shark come by while we were in the water.

Judson was a great instructor, he really was a great teacher to my boys. You could tell he was very comfortable and knew his stuff. He was able to read the waves for them to maximize their attempts. They were really just getting it when time was up, we will go back and ask for Judson again.

I have surfed with lessons in Hawaii and California several times. I had by far the BEST experience with Jillian in Florida! She is patient, calming and taught me a few tricks I was never shown before. I will absolutely be back because of Jillian. I highly recommend her, you will not regret it no matter what! Surfs up!

I can assure you that everyone at Ron Jon surfing school is top knotch and love what they do.
We had the pleasure of the graceful instruction of Brandon. He was amazing! I knew I was in the presence of a really good teacher.
He measured our strength and got us riding waves in no time and helped us fall in love with the sport! I am 57 years old and my Stepdaughter is 11.
So, no excuses! Get in the surf with a little help from the professionals!
