The Pantry Modern Diner

This was my second visit here, and I have to say how much I truly enjoyed it both times! The service was great, the food was great, and it's a very clean facility. When you first walk in, there's a decent sized waiting area (though I've never waited more than a minute or two to be seated) with padded benches. My favorite part about the entrance though is the "Take-a-Book" for children. My son LOVES to pick out a book to bring to the table with us, and it keeps him occupied if we wait to be seated.

I got the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, AND hazelnut crepes. My son got the children's breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, and a birthday cake pancake. I'm always weary about ordering scrambled eggs when I'm out because they're usually dry and hard, but these were perfect!

The prices are very reasonable, and I was actually surprised that the iced coffee I ordered was only $3.99 because it was actually a decent sized glass and it had whipped cream and chocolate syrup on it. I didn't take a photo of that, because I couldn't help myself from immediately diving in to it!

They also give each table a plate of biscuits with what I believe is their house made butter. I've had their blueberry, strawberry, and apple butters, and they are all amazing! They also give each guest a snicker doodle before they leave.

If you're reading this, and you're not on your way to The Pantry right now, get in your car and go now! You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. I'm jealous of the locals and I highly encourage anyone passing through to stop by. My husband and I ate three items off the menu along with a dessert and every bite was amazing. Our waitress, I wish I remembered her name was absolutely awesome!!!! The prices are on point the food is delicious the services excellent I'm sitting in Cape Coral wishing I lived closer to the restaurant. A+

Always amazing! The biscuits are so buttery and good . They serve biscuits and house made 🍓 butter for the table with each Visit. It's a bonus that they give you free house made snicker doodle cookies too. Service is outstanding and the food is great !

Excellent food and service here. We had a group of 12 and they were able to accommodate us easily, All our food was served hot and everyone in our group was very pleased with our experience. The bread they bring you as an appetizer is very good and the two butter choices are tasty. I had the pulled pork and it was cooked perfectly, and not overpowering with BBQ sauce. We will definitely eat at The Pantry again when in the area.

We were served by miss Toni tonight and she was absolutely amazing with us. Great service, answered our menu questions and served us quickly. And they’re snickerdoodle cookies were amazing!

Today I visited this place for the 1st time. I googled best restaurants nearby and this one popped up with the best reviews. After experiencing it today I would give them a 10/10 review if it was available.

Great service, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere. The biscuits are great and we love the snickerdoodles! The place is beautiful, clean and well organized. Our server Angie was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed it. We tried different dishes and all of them were delicious! Loved the strawberry 🍓, banana and Nutella crepes! Definitely recommend this place! We loved it and you will, too! ♥♥♥♥♥

My family and I stopped by the Pantry Modern diner in Auburndale as we traveled to Lake Alfred and had a chance to meet David! Right of the back we received such a warm welcoming. We were sat immediately and greeted by Kim. This lady needs recognition! The service was phenomenal! She was attentive, made great suggestions and the food was delicious. She followed up the right amount of time but honestly although their biscuits and flavored butters are to die for …. The customer service was superb!!! Thank you Kim for hosting us and making us feel welcomed. We will certainly be returning! Overall this was an excellent experience. The manager here is clearly doing their job very well. The staff seemed happy, the restaurant is clean and my family enjoyed their time here.

We ordered crepes to eat, not many places serve it. The owner and also available chef came over to ask us how our meal was not too many people order crepes. It was really great to know he was the owner and personally coming over and welcoming us to his establishment. I thought it was a great place. Clean and well kept. Felt comfortable. And nice big Windows to look out. Service and food were great we'll be back again.

The Pantry Modern Diner is an absolute gem! The staff truly understands the art of hospitality. Our waitress, Kim, was simply exceptional, delivering impeccable customer service with every interaction. If we weren't from out of town, my wife would have been tempted to recruit her for luxury apartment communities – that's how impressive she was! From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of delightful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Had such a great experience eating there that we had to go back 2 days later and brought people with us. The food comes out fast and hot. They are very accommodating with dietary restrictions. They cooked the breaded cheese curds for me in new oil because of my shellfish allergy. The fries are cooked in a separate fryer as well. The biscuits with flavoured butters are fantastic! They even sent us home with free snickerdoodle cookies. Shout out to Ed for the great service. We will be back.

Recently heard about this spot and decided to try it out. We went for a late breakfast / early lunch.
We were greeted as soon as we entered and asked what we would like to drink. It was nice to have our drinks arrive shortly after we were sat.
The dining room was spacious and clean. They started us off with fresh, warm, homemade biscuits served with house made berry butter. So good! I had the three egg special with corned beef hash and cinnamon roll French toast, eggs soft poached. Gray had the patty melt with fries.
The eggs were cooked perfectly, as was the hash, which our server explained was homemade. It was the best hash I've ever had. The cinnamon roll French toast was delicious, sweet, and decadent.
Gray said his patty melt was on point. Properly cooked, crispy where it should be, cheesy where it should be, and delicious. The fries were good.

At the close of our meal we were given homemade snickerdoodles. Nice touch.

Service was prompt, friendly, and professional. So happy we tried this place. We will definitely return. 10 out of 10 would recommend

WOW! Everything is outstanding! Excellent food! Excellent service! A refreshing place for a great meal. Our server Kim was friendly and patient. Dave the owner is down to earth. Family friendly.

Ok let me start off by saying the reason for the 5 stars is for the kindness and amazing customer service that was provided during my brief visit here. I believe this is my first 5 star ever given so kudos to this place. Everything was freshly cooked, ordered French toast, eggs, sausage links that looked like it came straight off the stove. Also had the Mac and cheese rice black eye peas with French fries and it was decent. I wish I could take their fries and show most restaurants and or diners how " fresh fries" should look. You can tell they change their oil, the best fries I have had an years if we were going off freshness and taste. Also had bbq bacon cheese chicken with broccoli and white rice which was also decent. The only thing that I didn't like was the Arnold palmer with pink lemonade it was gross, but we were still satisfied with the food. So happy I was able to experience the beautiful women and their awesome energy.

My son's soccer team and all the parents stopped by today on short notice (there was 30 of us) and they were able to accommodate all of us in less than 15 minutes. Kristi was our server and she rocked the morning. Everyone was amazing and the food was fantastic. What I thought was going to be very frustrating was entirely pleasant and worth the very short wait.

Was my first visit, will not be my last! We were drawn to visit based on the very interesting menu. When we walked in were seated immediately and served hot busicits with flavored butters. GREAT START. Meals came super quickly and with love. The the bill came some complimentary cookies, and I couldn't have been more pleased. An absolute gem!

Our first time visiting and it was fabulous! For starters, they bring fresh biscuits and flavored butter that is made seasonally, so we had pumpkin and peach butter. Husband ordered breakfast and I ordered lunch type sides. Portions were big and the food came out fast and fresh. The ranch dressing was amazing it must be from scratch. I enjoyed a side salad, collards, and rice and beans with an order of fried okra. Everything was great my only complaint was the collards were lacking in that southern flavor. Hubby ordered breakfast with a side of fried cheese grits which was enormous and as promised covered in cheese. We had excellent service even though they were busy. We finished it off with cookies, don’t leave without your cookies! We will be back soon.

I would never go anywhere else. Just went here with my brother. We feel like a million bucks after this meal. They bring out biscuits right away and we’re both saying this is the best biscuit I’ve ever had. Then the appetizers come; best fried okra I’ve ever had. The food comes flying out so fast. The owner brought our meals to us. He said “we can make anything just tell us what you’re looking for. For my side, a French toast Cinnamon roll with strawberry syrup (I’m in love). Which reminds me, Desirae, the waitress was an experience within an experience. I’ve never had a server come any where near close to that. The woman is on another level. This has got to be the perfect combination of restaurant and waitress. I don’t think I would believe this until I’d see it for myself. We were blown away and totally spoiled by The Pantry. Eating anywhere else would be boring in comparison.

My husband had Ham Fettuccine, I enjoyed the chicken Alfredo. Was surprised when the server brought us two biscuits before even ordering! We both chose the soup of the day, which was ham and bean. Absolutely wonderful! Then came our large serving of our fettuccine! When our server brought our to go boxes, she also had two cookies that were complimentary! Ate those when we got home later!! Snickerdoodle’s!! Highly recommend!

I arrived in Auburdale super early for a client appointment, so I asked her suggestion for a spot to dine-in, enjoy a Great Breakfast, and get some quirk done on my laptop. Well sugah let me tell you sumtin..... The Pantry is "That Spot"!

2.) The Ambiance - From the Host to every server (the one handling your table and those that are not)...EVERYONE WAS ATTENTIVE, POLITE, AND ACTUALLY "SERVING" THE NEED OF THE CUSTOMER
3.) The Value - As a Business Mogul, I understand the importance of proving MORE IN VALUE to the current than they pay for....WELL THEY DID THAT AND MORE!!!!

Cute atmosphere, kid friendly, our server was great, the biscuits with that blueberry butter with a little blueberry syrup is amazing we all loved them, and the fried cheese grits was good too!
