Before Hurricane Michael, I went Kayaking here at least once or twice a week. My daughter suggested that we go and watch the Sunset as I haven't been feeling up to doing much lately. It was as Beautiful as I remembered. Once I am able, I will be back to Kayak again.

Awesome place. Tennis courts, basketball court, volley ball, playground for kids. Not to mention by the main entrance; a full-size football and baseball field. There are also like 5 different puplic boat ramps. They ask that you don't swim their but I've seen people sitting off of the dock areas feet In the water as well as fishing. It's extremely large and is also dog friendly.

Really cool place. I've lived in Bay County my whole life and had no idea this place existed until very recently when I stumbled upon it by chance. Nice boat ramp with lots of parking. I was fortunate enough to watch a couple of porpoises playing right at sunset. Absolutely beautiful. There is an awesome one room school house that originally stood a few blocks away as well as a park, a museum and club house that would work great for baby showers or small family reunions. Unfortunately there were no signs posted to inform you of available times to check out the inside of school house or museum. However I plan to come back (with my kids) and do the full tour when they are open.

Good park! Quality of the playground is fair. The green areas are well maintained. Front parking and beach access road flood sometimes and make it difficult to come in or out. Good open areas to play catch or other team games. Benches are awesome for relaxing, reading a book or drawing. Overall good place to spend an afternoon with the kids.

Nice little park on the bay to watch the sun rise and set. Sometimes see dolphins swimming too. Kayak launch pad and boat ramp - no charge for parking

John B. Gore Park like most of our parks in the Callaway/Panama City area have recovered beautifully from Hurricane Michael.
The one room schoolhouse has been restored as well as the rec center with plenty of parking spaces for events and family fun.
The park has a small play area, basketball court, large open field perfect for football, soccer, or to just toss around a frisbee! Adjacent to the park is a public boat ramp with dedicated parking for vehicles with trailers!
John B. Gore Park is also a great place to enjoy Callaway Bayou's sunrises, sunny days, and sunsets. A perfect spot for reflection, relaxation and contemplation after a long crazy day!
Oh, and I almost forgot two Pokemon Stops and plenty of Pokemon to catch!!

We hide and find rocks along with playing Pokemon go! The old Callaway school is great for hiding and finding rocks. Also for Pokemon and spins....This park has sport areas tennis, basketball, baseball....small play ground and boat launch.
