FRESH coffee! Great small town service, kitchen in back cooking whatever you need. 3 eggs and bacon plate every morning for keto thing. They have off-road diesel for forklift and farm equipment. They have non-ethanol gas for small motor equipment. Extra items like gas can and diesel can in stock if you need.

I'm came here from out of town virginia beach virginia to be exact. The staff the food the atmosphere is all pretty much like home. I'm staying in a air bnb 5 min walk away and haven't been disappointed yet!!!

I have stopped a few times and it's been a great spot for a quick breakfast on my way to NC, friendly staff.

Very neat little market. I was surprised to see they had their own little fast food take-out section where they made fried chicken and the like. We didn't get any because it wouldn't have been the best decision before going hiking, but we did buy some snacks and drinks here. I bought some bonbons that they had and they tasted pretty good, although I've never had a bonbon before this so I have nothing to compare it too. They have a bathroom, and I'd say it was pretty clean. So if you're taking a long drive through the country, this is a great pit-stop.

We love the fried chicken!! However; today when we stopped to pick up dinner, we were surprised that smoking was allowed on the porch ....less than four feet from the propane tanks. There is a large NO SMOKING sign but apparently the three folks decided to ignore the warning.

Nice place to get food and gas. They have tables outside in front of the store for a meal. The grill inside does make some good food.I stop there on my frequent trips to NC.

The best fried chicken in Nelson County! The side items cannot be beat either. We like the service, the clean bathrooms and also the outside tables.

THIS REVIEW IS ONLY PERTAINING TO THE FRIED CHICKEN!!!
My favorite fried chicken growing up was from KFC. Since Ashley's Market started doing fried chicken,, KFC is irrelevant!!! It's delicious - tender, juicy, the skin is perfect, it's ready-to-eat. What's not to love? The only problem with it is that we can't stop eating it & we end up miserably full. Yes, I could take the blame for that, but I'm not. It's the fried chicken's fault because if it didn't taste so good, I wouldn't eat so much of it. Give it a try & you'll know exactly what I'm saying. Ha ha

A lot of people don't care for the idea of buying dinner at a convenience store unless it's frozen which is understandable. I've heard plenty of "gas station food horror stories" & I promise it's nothing like that. Just trust me on this!!!

I've had it countless times, but this is my 1st time reviewing it. Let me know what you think!!!

Good Potato Wedges, very good Fried Chicken and an even better conversation with the owner.

Great homemade breakfast sandwiches! Nice little deli, market, and gas station. Also has a great selection of beer.

The bathroom is really clean and smells like apples and cinnamon. The hand soap smells good too. Nice selection and friendly staff.

The people that work there are so polite and it you need anything special like food wise it will get done

Friendly staff and good section of drinks and snacks. It's a great stop when cutting over to connect to the blue ridge parkway or interstate. Coffee could be kept fresher though

Clean, friendly, and quick service. Wish prices were more clearly labeled on some things but the prices tend to be fair. Also, very nice that they sell some local goods as well.

it’s my favorite gas station, their fried chicken is THE absolute best & they have really food coffee. also everyone there is really nice

Just had the 3 piece fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was hot and tender. awesome meal.

Great place to stop while traveling..they have picnic tables outside and the yummiest homemade spicy pork rinds inside!

Helpful staff, very clean restroom, some of the best fried chicken around, and real mashed potatoes. I always top when I'm passing through.

Great store and people. Possibly the only American owned and operated convenience store in the Afton area.Be sure to try their breakfast sandwiches and fried chicken.
