Peking Chinese Restaurant

Wow! Great food and very polite service. The Crab Rangoon here is the only place I've been to that has actual crab in it- yum! The food was cooked perfectly. Light tasting. No complaints. Overall, everything was tasteful and pleasant. We will definitely make a trip here again.

This is a great place for lunch with friends in a quiet, appealing oriental atmosphere. Our meals were excellent and very inexpensive. There is pleasant oriental music playing in the distant background and you can talk with your friends in a normal voice. No need to shout. The service is also excellent. Why are there so few remaining places like this?

I try to go to Peking every time I travel to Wytheville, sometimes 2 times a week. I travel 45minutes jus to grab their General Tso chicken(Xtra Xtra Xtra spicy) the atmosphere is very relaxed an calmin. The staff are very welcoming an a pleasure to see. The food is so wonderful, very tasty, and quick to get. I LOVE their oolong tea, either hot or iced, both are amazing. The decor is warm and a pleasure to look at, music isn't loud and jus adds to the ambiance. I would happily go everyday if it were possible. Pictures do not do this place justice. I've lived from Alaska to floriduuhhhh, and Peking is hands down the best Chinese I've had.

We order online which gave you tons of options to customize our order. We was traveling and didn't want to sit in to eat. But picking up our order kinda wished we did dine in. The place had a great vibe, Staff so friendly.

My wife and I rarely eat Chinese food. The service was fast and enjoyable, our food was great, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
We were hungry, and it was a home run!

I’m more than a little surprised that I’ve just enjoyed one of my favorite Chinese dinners of all time in Wytheville, VA of all towns!! I’ve had Chinese food all over the states, and this place shines as something special. It is clear from the service, friendliness, freshness, atmosphere, ingredients, and presentation that the folks running and operating this place CARE and love what they do.

The potstickers were cooked to perfection. The rangoons tasted homemade. General Tso’s chicken tends to be a safe “so-so” dish in most Chinese restaurants. Here, the sauce was flavored perfectly. It made you want to slowly savor each bite rather than power your way through as if in a buffet. The vegetables were presented gorgeously with special cuts and cooked such that they augmented the dish in an enjoyable way rather than simply serving as filler.

The Chinese iced tea paired wonderfully with all dishes and had a unique taste to it that truly grows on you.

The fried rice had a spice and floral nature to it I’ve not tasted before which delighted the palette.

Having finished our meal, I find no lingering dehydrated sense of ultra high sodium. These folks know what they are doing, and absolutely deserve to be your number one dinner choice for Wytheville and likely the greater surrounding area. I wish we had Chinese like this back home!

Literally the best service I’ve ever had. Our server Derek was super professional and has one of the best personalities ever! The food was great. Orange chicken was good and the hot and sour soup- Amazing!

Just stopped in for dinner while traveling through. Within walking distance of several hotels.
Wanted something more than just the usual fast food while traveling. They have all your favorites as well as their own take on a few dishes. Everything we had was very good and very reasonably priced.
Only drawback was the size of their glasses, I felt bad having the waitress run back and forth for refills as I was very thirsty that night.

This was some of the best Chinese food I have ever had! We loved the hot and sour soup with fresh fried wontons. The breading on the sesame chicken, general tsos and, the sweet and sour pork were phenomenal. Delicious crab puffs. And wonderful all around 😋 Service was fantastic!

I love Chinese food and have tried a lot of places. These guys have to be the best! Delicious! And my server, very well mannered on top of things. Right across the road from the hotel. Convenient and delicious.

Awesome! Great food and excellent staff! Next to hotels. Must visit and dine here! Waitress was really wonderful! If you want spicy, ask for the hottest they have!

We popped in here on a whim while charging at the Tesla supercharger next door — it’s easily walkable from the charger. It was super tasty, well-priced, and the service was so fast. We were easily in and out in the time it took to charge our car!

The Sesame Chicken is utterly fantastic! The chicken was moist and the right texture. The brown sauce is delicious and addictive. Change my mind!

Born and raised in Wytheville from the early 80's. Currently reside in Pittsburgh. Drove down for the holidays. Drove back on Black Friday with four portions. Tell me I'm wrong Peking Palace. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience again. See you again soon.

Love the vibe....very Chinese feel. Food was great: orange chicken, General Tso's, sesame, salad, etc. 5 people ordered from the lunch menu and total came to $36! That's cheaper than McDonalds! appears no one told them about inflation....and I wasn't about to.

Fantastic place to eat. Had shrimp with lobster sauce for lunch. Absolutely will be there for lunch anytime we are in town.

Let's start with how good the service was, we asked if the dumplings were pork and the server said that they were. A few minutes later she came back and said that they were pork AND shrimp and she thought that might have been why we asked. Such good care. We should have asked if there were shrimp since my wife is allergic. Great intuition and catch by the waitress!
I ordered Mongolian steak and have found my new favorite version of it. Sadly, we don't live in the area but will definitely stop by if we're traveling in this neck of the woods again.

Always good food. Highly recommend the soups and egg rolls. Service is always excellent. A favorite place to eat since I was a child.

Love this place; I discovered Peking in the early 1990s. Few restaurants have - reliably - very good food, service and menu, and this is one. I wish I lived closer, but with great I-81 and I-77 access, a quick detour for a meal during road trips is about as easy as it gets. I have fond memories of their lunch buffets before Covid restrictions, but I have high hopes that Peking's Sunday buffets will return as soon as it's safe. Well done, Peking Chinese Restaurant. I look forward to visiting again.

Best egg rolls and wonton soup around. Great service, atmosphere, and prices. Love ❤ this place!
