Red Roof Inn Tucson Downtown - University

Clean and safe place to stay for a night or two. Close to the places we frequent. Mini fridge and lamps have an adapter for charger cords. Large TV and options for room service. Even though I never used the room service.

Coming to Red Roof Inn, I didn’t expect much. Especially looking on the outside of the hotel. However, when I walked in the hotel room, I was pleasantly surprised on how clean and neat the room was. I could even smell the bleach from when the floor was mopped. The front desk staff named Louis (Lou) was very nice, attentive informative. Lou was a pleasure to talk to. It’s close to University of Arizona and Pima college, which was very nice since I was here visiting my son who attends U of A.

I like staying here because it is convenient and a very friendly place to stay. Whenever I’m in Tucson I stay here if it is available. Room service is excellent and it has both a pool and hot tub.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great 😃 rooms were nice and clean staff was wonderful. Plus the pool and hot tub were awesome. We'll definitely stay again!

I can’t say enough about Luis’s stellar hospitality, charisma, and charm. As a single lady driving cross country alone, at times things get scary. Luis takes pride in this establishment and runs it like his own. Can’t tell you how very grateful I am for stellar human beings like this man. Luis thank you. Rooms are spacious, clean, good parking right out your door and Luis. Couldn’t be happier!

I really like the vibe of this place. Exterior has a quaint charm to it, but the interiors have been refurbished to a more modern, but not too modern, aesthetic. The mini fridge is bigger than most hotels have, much less motels. There's also a microwave.

The staff is salt of the earth and funny. It isn't a swanky or frilly place, but if you like old school motels, this one has charm. The beds are a bit basic for folks that have any back issues or whatever. I love the old school neon sign, reminds me of being back in Vegas. You'll see some characters in the surrounding area.

If not for Mgr Jay this review would have been very different. Altho our reservation was made at Red Roof reservation line, when we got there our room was not what we asked for. More than3+ times I told the agent we needed 2 things 1)wheelchair accessible 2) 2 beds. I was assured that's what was reserved for us. Upon arrival 2 beds in down stair room. Jay stepped up and went beyond his job to be sure we were accommodated. He went to the extreme of taking my husband into the room and making sure he could get into the bathroom, close the door and turn his chair around to get out without difficulty. He then made sure he was able to navigate the groom and use necessary items, etc without issue. He did this with a smile and positivity. Without him we would have been miserable and/or un-accommodated for the night. I hope the corporate office takes notice of his extreme effort to keep his guests happy and of doing the right thing. Especially after the Red Roof Co. seemed less interested in serving our requested NEEDS than simply filling a room. I also hope corporate takes seriously how this reservation was made and makes some serious changes to the reservation process under their own roof.

Had a bit of an odd vibe, but very nice staff and delivery found us easy. Tight but efficient parking -beware when you come in in a rig.
I think this place is haunted. One set of my tarot cards ended up standing up in the middle of the floor, and there were strange noises coming from the bathroom throughout the night. Not management's fault or bad, just odd.
Comfy beds, clean as a whistle and once we figured out the Wifi had to be entered on the TV, we had a blast!

A great hotel for what you pay for. Clean rooms and basic amenities such as ice, coffee, and soap/shampoo. Only a mile from downtown breweries which made for an easy walk. Loved that it was pet friendly and would definitely stay again!

the front attendant was welcoming was able and willing to communicate in Spanish. the bed in our room was comfortable and the rooms were exactly as shown in the images, free of smoke and clean

The location is not only convenient, but very clean. The rooms are clean and spacious. We've been very happy with our stay.

Had a pleasant stay. Had a very rough weekend and I was skeptical at first due to some other reviews. But staff was very friendly and happy to accommodate to any problem we had. Room was clean and comfortable:)

Best place I ever stayed at , friendly people and grate accomodations would come back and stay more often.

It was awesome. The air conditioner died on my birthday so I checked in. The pool was great the spa was amazing. I am going to use this hotel in the future.

The entire staff here is awesome. Considering we've been here for over a month the only bad thing I have to say about it is cabin fever. We are so ready to move into our new house
