This was the best .
I had 2 enchiladas and 1taco combo plate.
Outstanding.
The taco was so good I just had to get another.
Don't listen to the haters.

Other people's opinions were negative, complaining about the wait. We were seated and served very fast. Food was good, well worth the money.

My review is based on my experience from 2017. They were able to accommodate my entire family at the last minute. (about 20 people) There was an issue with a lack of chips because they were making a fresh batch. My dad was rude and made a scene. It was awkward. Then the fresh chips arrived. I'm sure the waitress still remembers us. Overall it was a good experience with good food and I recommend this restaurant.

Visited here with my family of 11 from California. We came all the way to eat the way my grandma used to cook when she loved here in taos. Let me tell you, it was everything I had remembered. Great food, good atmosphere and nice people. Would eat here everyday if I could, but sadly we had to go back home.

Enjoyed my stop here. I had the smothered burger Xmas.. Both red n green were delicious. House fries were tasty too. The waitress was very friendly and I will definitely stop here again..

Such a treat! Has a old school diner feel and Some of the best Mexican food I have had. Friendly service and they even stayed late for our big party. A must try!!!

This was my second time eating there and it's as been great.

Great homily family restaurant, good portions that fit the prices in my opinion. I had 3 decent sized pancakes with 2 crispy strips of back and it was just under 7 buck so not bad at all. If ever you're in Taos new Mexico I recommend you give El Taoseño a chance, your taste buds will thank you later! Happy eating 😊😊

Every time I eat there I ask for Nina to serve us. She is the best server this restaurant has ever had. The food is always made to perfection. Drinks never go empty. Best place in town! Thanks Nina!

This is by far the most reliable restaurant in Taos for a great meal at a good price. The red Chile is tasty and hot. The service could be spread thin, but they do their best and always make you feel welcome.

Five stars for being exactly what they represent- good, traditional quality NM food made with love and some darn great flavors. Fresh and simple and just exactly what I wanted when I went searching for some New Mexican flavors and fill you up solid food perfect for even takeout on a cold morning!

Five stars for service and food! I had it twice for our 2 day trip. I definitely recommend the stuffed sopapilla with beef covered in green chilli and for breakfast the smothered hashbrowns in green chilli and add a fried egg or two!!! Was the best👍

Great food, staff were nice and the atmosphere was welcoming. Coffee was good too. Will definitely be stopping here for breakfast again the next time I'm in Taos.

Everything is great, the food is consistent and the prices are too. There's only one problem there, they have a waitress with short spiky hair that doesnt tend to the guests properly and is rude. She could ruin a meal.

The flavors were really distinct. You know how sometimes you go to a Mexican restaurant and the burritos and tacos and enchiladas all pretty much taste the same well not here I was very impressed with how authentic tasting the food was and the service was quick professional and very friendly I would highly recommend you eating at El Taoseno restaurant you won't be disappointed
