Terrific mix of old and new. Had a historic room with 2 queens and Kiva fireplace. Clogged sink was dealt with immediately. Expansive grounds and great views. Rooms are quiet and away from highway. Good restaurant with live music every night. Very dog friendly and huge campus for walking pets. Would stay again.

Friendly staff. Large room was clean and the bed, comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a nice shower. Plenty of parking. Nice courtyard. Nicely tiled bathroom. A table and chair in the room is a nice plus. The open wood beam ceiling is super awesome We had a lower cost room, which was plenty for us, but it looks like you can upgrade to a fireplace in your room as well. An on-site restaurant can take care of breakfast or dinner.

There are places that one visits where the staff ensures a high rating and this is one.

Candice was the bearer of first impression duty, and she nailed it. She put us in a room with a fireplace which is a real treat for anyone from Florida. The kindness she greeted and treated us with was genuine.

After a long day of driving and exploring, we were ready to crash and the room was comfy and warm.

Lara and Jeff delivered a wonderful breakfast. Jeff knows how to make an over easy egg which experienced travelers will note is a plus.

A few notes: You’ll probably want to ask for extra pillows. The rooms are a little older which is part of the charm. However, you’ll probably want to bring extension cords as there aren’t many outlets.

My husband and I always love to come to the Sagebrush Inn whenever we are in Taos. It's cozy and comfortable. Plus the food and the music every night at their grill is always good to enjoy.

We had a business trip to Taos from Santa Fe and stayed a total of 4 nights at the Sagebrush. It was wonderful! The rooms were cozy and clean with wonderful kiva fireplaces. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The pet fee was also super reasonable!
The location is very convenient, just a short drive to downtown and easy access from Santa Fe!

Will definitely stay again!

Good room. It's an older hotel so some things might be dated, but it was a great time. Thought it was a bit far for what I was in town for, but the location having everything here made up for it. Will remember this for next time I'm up there.

Sagebrush was a nice clean place but more importantly the staff had the patience to put up with my entire teenager hockey team.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Spending time in the courtyard or the patios is a wonderful way to spend the time and enjoy the climate. LOVE the architecture and feel of the place. The rooms are very reasonably priced and clean. Definitely a hidden gem of the region I look forward to staying at again.

What a gem. Ask for a room on the original side. There is a pretty courtyard with lights. Perfect place to relax and walk the dog. Usually the restaurant and bar at a hotel are pretty dreary. Not here. We liked the atmosphere so much that we had 3 meals there in 2 days. The food is much better than you'd expect. I had steak and enchiladas and wanted it again the next night. Make sure you have cocktails in the cantina. The music is great and the elderflower margarita is outstanding. The artwork , the atmosphere, and the staff are all a delight. Ask about the good old days when artists and actors drank the night away here. If I was a local, I'd go here all the time

A common review angle is:
"Some guests mentioned bathroom cleanliness could be improved"

Neurotic folks: show me a lodging that meets your tidy standards. Historic properties particularly have an uphill battle to meet your cringy needs. Just go to a Big Box hotel and you'll be find.

For the rest of you, that know what I am saying, check out this property in depth. When in Taos, do as the Taoists do. Float high and deny no possibilities.

Selah.

Yes. Our room number, 420, was selected at random as we checked in. Can you truly believe that anything is truly at random in this amazing Universe of Illusion?

Historic inn with really lovely people. There was live music at the bar with a fire going when we arrived. Rooms are situated away from the bar and restaurant so you get a peaceful sleep

Great historic hotel in Taos just minutes from the plaza. Our room had an Adobe fireplace with a complimentary bundle of wood which was our entertainment for the evening. The hotel also had an outdoor heated pool. A great bar and grill was attached which featured live music nightly, along with a breakfast menu. The food was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay in "the tower" with windows and views on all sides. It is located in the "Historic" part of the inn. The restaurant served excellent breakfastd and dinners, and the heated pool and hot tub were a delight. The staff was very helpful, and the service was personal and great! We really could have stayed there without leaving! Very relaxing!

My only beef is the restaurant service during prime time. They appeared to be under staffed and it was pretty bad. Took forever to be greeted and food was so so.
Love the hotel and grounds, will return!
