Unicorn School Supply

Oh, how I love this store. I'm an artist, so when Artisan Art Supply left Taos, and frequently Taos Art Supply's quirky schedule doesn't match mine, I head for the welcoming Unicorn School Supply Store, next door to the Friendly not corporate Randall's Lumber.
Yay for small family-owned businesses!! Yay for oil paints and brushes! Yay for Montessori -style Melissa & Doug brand wholesome wooden toys for children! Yay for the best hassle-free uncrowded place to select special occasion gift cards without being penetrated by ugly fluorescent lights and shoppers wearing flesh-colored skin tight leggings! Yay for the owner who is sweet as pie and remembers me when I come in and asks me about my painting. I love her. I love her toys and stickers and Day-of-the-Dead deco. This shop is a Taos treasure. Support it or be doomed to shopping at MallWart.

Bless this store. It's not easy to find small stores like this anymore, being eclipsed by big box franchises. Support local.

Great selection of toys and puzzles! I was surprised because I never think of this as a toy store but they have a lot of great, quality, toys for kids of all ages. The owner or clerk at the time was very pleasant to work with and was great about answering questions. Its a hidden gem for a STEAM gift for the kid in your life.

The woman who owns/runs this store is so nice and helpful. She helps me whenever I go in there. She's got envelopes, paper, ink stamps and ink pads, pens, art supplies, stickers, toys, classroom supplies, and probably a lot more stuff I am forgetting. There's a lot of good stuff packed into this store! It's a really great place to browse and buy art supplies, craft supplies, school supplies, and writing supplies.

She has a lot of the basic necessities (that even Wal-Mart doesn't seem to be able to supply these days) plus stickers by the sheet and stamps, home school supplies, science fair kits and fun toys. Various card selections too- better than hallmark.ther is accounting ledgers and such as well as canvases and paints pastels etc. I love love love the quill pen selections too.
Keep it local whenever you can!

Best art Supply Store in town and more. Customer service is always the bomb. It's school supply store, so if you need the sorta stamps your teacher marked your homework with, the funny erasers, or the odd globe, they got it.

If your the type who makes comics, they have everything. From aims lettering guides, to every size of Bristol board.

Best art supply store in Taos. Very Friendly owner and great selection. Always greeted with kindness and always find a great selection of useful items.

Local, reasonably priced, excellent variety arts, crafts, writing and office supply. Go here instead of Walmart or Walgreens! Plus a a nice selection of interactive learning toys for children. I love Unicorn!

I love this store. They have a fabulous selection of things for education and arts and crafts. They are wonderful to deal with. And their prices are reasonable.

Unicorn School Supply is a wonderful asset to Taos. A must see shop in town. If you have kids, are a crafter, or artist, make it a point to stop on by. You will not be disappointed!
