Delicious food, generous portions! I couldn't come up with a complaint if I had to. I've eaten here several times over the last few years and it's one of my favorites in Taos.

We tried to get breakfast/lunch at a few different places and there was either a long wait or no one greeted us. We stopped in at Jalapeños and the folks working could not have been nicer. They immediately greeted us and the service was top notch. The food was excellent, highly recommend the ceviche. We had the chilaquiles con huevos and it was fantastic. Will definitely be stopping here again next time we are in Taos. 5 stars.

The Baja fish tacos were fresh and delicious with an excellent tarter sauce and green chili sauce. The Mango and Horchata refresher drinks were excellent. The waitresses were very kind. The chicken flautas were also fresh and delicious. There’s air conditioning and free, ample parking on the premises. This is so important because a lot of restaurants and bars in Taos don’t have parking. The dessert of coffee cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce was fresh and delicious. You can also get takeout and order food through its drive thru.

Stoped in after a skiing, food was Absolutely Great along with the service. The waitress was holding down the front of the house, she was sweet and nice. I dont eat meat sometimes its hard to find places with good food to accommodate my diet especially in small towns/communities. Wish i lived closer. The woman closing Thursday deserves a raise!!!! Shes great!

Great stop with a friendly, patient staff. We ordered Barbacoa flautas, ground beef tostadas, Al Pastor street tacos and Asada street tacos. (Pictured)

Stopped in for lunch and wow was it delicious! The menu has a large number of selections. We opted for street tacos (there are about a dozen different kinds to choose from) and the mole chicken. Both of our entrees were excellent. The service was very quick and friendly. We highly recommend!

The food here was amazing! We just got a bunch of street tacos with different meats, and pretty much every protein was delicious.

I will say that there was lots of construction when we were there, which made outdoor seating noisy, and we were confused whether it was order at the counter or from your table.

They have mole on the menu - something I haven’t had since I left California 5 years ago. Of course I ordered the Enchiladas de Mole, and it was fantastic! I will be back, whenever my job takes me to Taos.

Bare bones atmosphere, excellent food. My friends had fish tacos, said probably best ever while I had green chili stew. Large bowl, excellent flavor

I was craving chilaquiles and Jalapeños Mexican Restaurant came through for me. Delicious, and a huge portion size.

The veggie enchiladas were delicious. The green chili was pretty spicy but complemented the dish well. The food was prepared fresh, not frozen. Portion size was perfect. No leftovers. Will definitely be back.

While driving through Taos, we came across Jalapeños and decided to give it a try. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our server was very nice and very attentive.

Great service, amazing food, and a dog friendly patio with signage posted which made us feel welcome bringing our large(well trained) dog. Our server was attentive and the food came out quickly. Perfect spot to stop when in Taos!

Best Mexican food we have ever had with nice people serving them. Appreciate they could customize most of them from menu into vegetarian.

Really solid taco spot! I had the al pastor tacos and my husband had the steak. They were really flavorful and they came out quick. Service was very friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely eat here again.

I loved it. The service was friendly and open. Small environment and some HUGE plates. I love it. Prices are comparable to other Taos restaurants. Very creative menu. Food was very good and really filling. I wanted to try everything. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Although probably not suitable for large parties over 8. Small but cozy.

Stop what ever you are doing and go get the Jona’s Special or the Frijol Negros. Worth the visit, excellent!

The chips and salsa are actually spicy and delicious.

Food is awesome. Staff are great. Place was super clean. Google maps said the place was busy but it was empty. Do yourself a favor, drive around the construction and have a bite.

I arrived festive and hungry after a drive from Austin. It was fairly busy and I had to wait a few minutes for a table but the service was quick and friendly. I ordered CHICKEN MOLE Enchiladas and I was blown away with the great flavor and palatability. Every scrumptious bite had me feeling grateful for my order decision. Great fracas too. I’m not big on Molé menu items but I’ll take the win, I had there.
