Ute Trail Motel

Look. I know "5-Stars" can be something that belongs to Las Vegas, but I give this 5-stars within the context that this is a small motel in a small town. The core value proposition is lodging for a day(s) at the hot springs. I am sitting on the futon of my room as I write this, so pleased. We checked in 8PM last night and the owner was pleasant, offering us free towels to take to the springs and simply leave there. The room is quaint and clean. It's bigger than I expected with a King bed, small bathroom, and living room area. I slept great. The town is quiet. The room was dark. This morning the sun is out and it's lovely. I whole-heartedly recommend this place. We are only doing a one night (SAT) for an all day hot springs on Sunday. I wish I did one more day. Thanks to MGMT.

Cute little motel, Deb was so nice and helpful while checking in. The room was clean and the heater worked great. couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend.

Quaint and comfortable rooms very close to the hot springs. This was just a spontaneous one day trip, but the room was more spacious than expected and the price was very reasonable!

When we arrived in the evening the management was wonderful to us. They were very honest people, giving us the best room for the lowest price. Super realistic, as a lot of hotels nearby are so expensive. Our room was technically two rooms with a couch, TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and some dishes under the cabinet.

my boyfriend and I took a spontaneous little weekender to the hot springs with no prior planning. asked around for a good place to stay, and ute trail motel was recommended, but we were told it's likely booked out for the night already. we tried anyways and managed to get the last room of the day! the owner was amazing! she offered us little breakfast baggies she made herself, and gave us free entry to the hot springs the next day since we had already visited prior to checking in and missed out on their discounted rate! the room was clean and well decorated-- way bigger than we expected. it was actually 2 rooms, with a little kitchenette as a nice surprise! the heater worked incredibly through the snowy night, and they even had clean towels, flip flops, and robes for the springs. perfect for us because we came super unprepared! location was convenient too. it was a little more pricey than what I usually look to pay, but it was worth it to have such a perfect experience. and I don't mind splurging for just one night. and the best part, their friendly pup assisted us in our check out! 🥰 100% recommend staying here if you get the chance! would love to return in the near future

Comfortable room and a really nice manager. There were free snacks and drinks which was very welcome considering food options in town are limited and close early. Nothing fancy but clean and super comfy! Took advantage of the discounted admission to the sulphur hot springs which we enjoyed very much.

Love Ute Trail Motel. Kitchenette rooms are fabulous & clean coming equipped with mini fridge, coffee maker, pans, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, microwave, toaster. Towels are plentiful & soft, hot water always, soap, shampoo, conditioner & as a bonus, free snacks in the office. Prepare to unplug as WiFi is spotty at best. Adding to the numerous perks, take your key & get a delightful Sulphur Hot Springs discount. I'll return to this gem with a happy smile.

Small but beautiful nestled in the Rocky Mountains,The rooms are adorable! Super clean and very welcoming! Feels like home, the king size bed was extremely well taken care of, The living area was perfect! Set up as a small efficiency with a fridge and microwave as well as some dishes if needed! Can definitely tell Dee the very nice owner takes great pride in her motel and making sure, her guest feel at home! Highly recommend!

This place is a gem. We've stayed there three times now and only live a few hours away. We just spent 4 nights there as we were hunting deer in the area and have also stayed here ice fishing. As outdoorsman/women this place is perfect! Rustic rooms that are clean and have everything you need. Comfy bed, hot shower, cool old heaters, fresh linens and even a place to cook if you get the right room. But best part is the people. Dee (who I think is the owner) is always awesome to deal with. Judy was there to greet us this time and she is amazing as well. We had a booking mix up when I called a few days ahead of time to ask a question and she got it all worked out in a few minutes. The issue was my fault and they took care of it. Checked to see how we were doing, stopped by one night as to check out our deer, and even gave us some info on places to check out if we weren't having success. They make you feel like old friends every time. Will continue supporting this place and wish all the other places in town offered the same level of hospitality. They don't. Got a sandwich from the only place in town serving food anymore, another hotel with a "deli", and they were rude because we asked for a non-toasted sandwich. Thanks again Dee and Judy! Can't wait to see you both soon.

This place is brilliant! My girlfriend and I were roadtripping from Michigan to do some backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and we thought we'd book this place to get some rest before starting our hike. We were totally expecting "motel quality," which would have been fine with us after camping in some pretty dingy campgrounds for the previous few nights. We just booked this place because it was the only affordable accommodation nearby. We were totally blown away! The woman who runs the office is so kind and recommended us some places to eat and things to do in Hot Sulphur Springs, some of which will give you a discount if you mention you're staying here. They lend out robes and flip-flops if you're going to the springs. The room was spotless, large, and very comfortable. The water pressure was beyond excellent. It was everything we needed it to be for us before heading into the woods. I would absolutely stay here again, probably for more than one night next time!

Was a great experience, stayed there on 27th, Rooms are large, clean and cozy. Almost a cabin like feel with all the wood. I really was pleasantly surprised.

Owner and her staff are excellent, we ran into car trouble and had to stay another night which presented no challenge as we waiting for our tow truck, the staff even gave us lift to the local breakfast place since it was so cold on the 2 days we spent there.

Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic stay. Our room was clean and cozy. Everyone was friendly and made us feel right at home. We received robes and towels to use at the hot springs, when we checked in. They even gave us the local’s guide of where to eat and drink. They had great WiFi which was helpful since I didn’t have phone service. We can’t wait to visit again!

We got much more than we payed for. Despite the name "motel" we got apartment with kitchen. While some of the appliances are not the latest model, everything is clean and working. This is small local business so no online reservation and pre-pay was offered but the verbal reservation was accurately recorded and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. Any time we visit the area, will stay in the Ute trail motel for sure.

It's always a wonderful and clean stay. She always takes care of your needs and she always, always has a smile. Rustic quiet cabin like quality rooms.. and very inexpensive.

My wife and my family stay at the Ute three times or better in the Winters for the last couple years! We enjoy ice fishing, skiing, eating out and relaxing at the Hot Springs!! Dee is the best when it comes to serving our needs for a wonderful stay!! We choose to stay no where else!!

Great time staying here so close to the springs. You definitely get that cabin mountain feel. The staff was very kind and attentive. Great kitchenette which I recommend bringing little things for sandwiches and that.... Thanks for a relaxing weekend!

What an awesome establishment! Clean, VERY hospitable, great location. Even offered towels to borrow for the Hot Springs. A place I will definitely be back to. Classic Americana experience.
