Taos Motor Lodge

Taos Motor Lodge was a welcome comfort for us on our long road trip. For the price it's a steal. The room was clean, trendy, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the check-out process was seamless. Great base of operations for hiking in the Taos Ski Valley, or enjoying the adorable town. We'll be back!

We stayed here on June 5, 2024 for one night. We found it easily enough and checked in. The room number, wifi password and door code are on a tiny tiny bit of paper. I put it in my wallet with my drivers license so that it wouldn't get lost if we forgot the door code. It was fine, not a big deal. The lodge has been renovated and we were delighted with our room. It was clean and fresh and modern and the decor and art gave a nod to the southwest. We had a king sized bed and it was a very big room with a very big bed. There were 2 chairs and a small table, night stands with lamps a mounted tv in the corner a wardrobe with a place for clothes to hang on one side and a mini fridge on the other, no microwave. You have to ask for one I think. There was not a comfy chair or couch eventhough one could have easily fit in the room. The bathroom sink is in the main room with shelf space below which is appreciated. The toilet and shower are behind a door. There was very little space to put anything down in the bathroom but we liked that the soap, shampoo and conditioner were mounted on the wall of the shower. The towels were better quality but not super amazing. The air conditioner worked fine but was a bit noisy in the night as most mounted ac units are. No pool. No elevator. We were okay with that. We would recommend staying here

Lovely place! The room was clean, updated, and quite comfortable. There was an adorable senior pupper there to assist in greeting us when we checked in (bonus!). The bed was great, the walk-in shower was excellent, and I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers. I would definitely stay again!

Nice, yet unassuming exterior. The room was very clean, with modern updates. Comfortable bed, great shower. The windows could some curtains to help block out the light, but overall a very pleasant stay.

Room was clean and nicely decorated. Coded door locks and motion lights made it very safe. Parking on site. In room coffee and streaming TV services were nice features. Price was great.

We loved the little house only good for a couple but very cozy had a few issues with the internet the only thing is they don't have cable you have to watch Netflix or prime which was okay for us because we went there to enjoy the view not really watch TV

It appears that this hotel was recently renovated and updated. The room was nice and the shower was great! It was a great stop on our journey through New Mexico. The rooms have a nice TV, coffee maker, small fridge, and microwave.

Super cute affordable place to stay in Taos. Check in is all on your phone, and they are very responsive via text if you have any questions. The room was clean, beautifully remodeled and very nice! The only small downside- a little bit of light sneaks through the sides of the shades at night, but nothing that is unmanageable. I can’t wait to stay here again!!

We were impressed by the remodeled rooms, decor/styling, and ease of check in/out. Would definitely recommend the Taos Motor Lodge as a great option in the area!

Room was nicely appointed and immaculate. Staff was nice and very considerate. I visit family in Taos periodically and will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful customer service! Text me as soon as I booked the reservation and sent me a door code to check in, since we arrived late. Rooms super clean and cute! A heater in the bathrooms might be nice, but definitely recommend!

Searching for a place to stay and this one came up, reminded me of places I stayed on family vacations as a kid (yes I'm dating myself). Room was very clean and updated nicely. Bathroom tile was great! We were in room 10 and it was super quiet all night. Loved how the management texted us a code to get in the door and we basically checked ourselves in, no waiting in line. It was awesome. I had texted and asked for recommendations for a quick dinner they replied with 3 places we chose Trading Post Market and Deli, it had a varied menu and food was excellent. If we are ever in the area again we won't hesitate to stay.

They put in some real effort when they remodeled this place. There is tile everywhere, even the woodgrain floor is tile. I'm most impressed with the bathroom. The shower pan is solid, the sliding glass door is spotless.

It's like someone who has been around the hotel industry for a while wanted to do things right. Thanks.

My only complaint: it could use a small table and chair.

This was a very nice lodging option in Taos New Mexico. This is a converted retro Hotel with which they have done a wonderful upgrade. The room was very comfortable and the beds were excellent. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only minor complaint I have is the position of the TV which made viewing somewhat difficult given the absence of a sitting chair.

The best room in Taos. Roomy, clean, super fast wifi. The communication was great, the staff was great, the location was great.
Other hotels in the area are a disappointment.
I would give 6 stars if there were a desk and black out curtains. Other than that, I'll be back!

What a great place to stay. Small, quiet and a very good value. The communication to the client was top notch with texting ability. New, fresh and such a great remodel. Loved our stay and highly recommend. Don’t hesitate, book your stay before it’s sold out.
