Trail Riders Motel

A buddy and I got stranded in grand county after Berthoud pass closed for the night. We got a room here and had a wonderful experience. The host was welcoming and kind, the rooms and sheets were clean and comfortable. Turned out to be a nice refuge after finding out we weren't going home for the night.

It was the only room for miles... When we pulled up, I was like ahhh, ok.... Pink neon lights... It was well maintained and clean but definitely an old travel hotel...
I was pleasantly surprised... it very clean and comfortable.
And the nostalgia began to kick in and it almost felt like 1958... I thought it was a cool experience.. I would stay there again!

This quaint little place has everything you could need (coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge). The staff is amazing, friendly and more than accommodating. It felt like a little neighborhood than a motel. They let our pup stay and even provided doggie bags! The room has a private bedroom near the bathroom and a main bedroom area as well. We will definitely be coming back to stay and I highly recommend this place.

We had a great time in Granby! I would like to give a shout out to Andrew the manager and Eric the owner. These guys are awesome! Knowing them less than a day, they followed me out 15 miles to help me get my XTV unstuck. This is above and beyond service!! Thanks guys. We will stay with you again next year.

Trailriders is a classic, retro, clean, affordable motel within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, the Amtrak station and more. My family landed here with a sick kiddo after a stressful trip to wait for an indefinitely delayed train. The staff was so incredibly kind and helpful. We were able to hang out on the porch after the kid was in bed, watching a summer storm roll in and a hummingbird moth feeding off the gorgeous petunias. It was an oasis and we were so grateful to land here.

We stayed one night in early March as our truck broke down and we were stranded. The couple that ran the motel were the nicest, most helpful and flexible to meet our needs that could ever exist. The room was clean, well supplied and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this motel due to the wonderful couple that runs it!

Friend and I stayed 3 nights to take in the local roads and visit the park. The manager/owner was extremely helpful, providing suggestions for interesting roads and places to eat. For a small town there are several good places to eat within walking distance. Rooms were a little on the small side, but everything was clean the beds were comfortable. No A/C but it cools down in the evening and was good for sleeping. Would definitely stay here again!

From the first time I booked a room through to the unexpected additional nights a needed, the owner Eric was personable and accommodating. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. Other guests, at least during my stay, we’re down to earth, adventurous cool people. I think that is the type of person who stumbles upon this little gem. The location is great too. Not far from Winter Park, Fraser, etc… When I travel back to Granby, it will be to stay at Trail Riders and venture out from there. Great place!

Great place to stay in Granby. Eric, the owner, was above and beyond a good host. Very friendly and really made us feel welcome. We had to travel light and my son was really missing his instruments, Eric loaned him a guitar to take around with him while we were there. There aren't to many people out there that would do that for strangers, it really speaks volumes about a person's nature. Thanks for the great stay!

This property is amazing. Very well kept. Very very clean. Even the blankets and shower curtain were freshly cleaned. (Having been in hospitality, that is a huge HUGE thing!) The whole room smells of fresh laundry. The staff is phenomenal. They stayed up late to accommodate our late check in. We will definitely be back if ever in this area 😊

Erik, the owner, is very nice and very willing to offer suggestions for places to visit, locations to eat and general information. The motel is a quaint little place that is very clean and has a comfortable bed. My wife and I rode our Harleys there and Erik provided us with some old towels for cleaning our bikes. Great guy. His dog, Rider, greated us when we pulled in the parking lot. She is a doll.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Great motel! We rolled in on motorcycles late afternoon and the staff helped us find help and repair the the unit. Very clean!

I stayed here a few months ago! What a great experiences! The owners are very friendly and hospitable! The bedding smelled of fresh laundry and the rooms were very clean! The owners definitely take the time to make their guest feel welcomed! It is your home away from home!!!

What an amazing experience staying here. Extremely clean room, super comfortable. Very conveniently located. Very attentive staff. Overall, it's a great experience to stay somewhere where there is an original feel to the place and it's as unique as it gets. Will definitely be staying here in the near future again.

I don't know what else I can say that other reviews already haven't. Well kept, clean, comfortable bed quintessential mom-and-pop Motel. Erik, the owner really takes pride in his property. And if you're on a motorcycle looking for places to go, he can give some great suggestions.

The prices are reasonable, the rooms are nice, there are plenty of towels, the service is supreme, there's ample parking and it's close to convenience stores, restaurants and there is a view of the mountains from the motel. Mike and Eric were very helpful and are knowledgeable about the surrounding area. These men are genuine and are reliable.

I will definitely be coming back to this spot. Reserve now. 😁 🙏

Awesome place with amazing owners! The room was super clean and comfy. But what really stands out is how the owners make you feel like you’re at home. They are caring and dedicated to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Greatest place to stay in Granby!!

On our way back to Texas and stopped here for a one night stay. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are immaculately clean. The decor is vintage, but a nice mini fridge, microwave and dinette set makes this place functional and so very quaint. I'm putting this in the book as a place to stay again. Again, the rooms and linens are sooooo clean 😊

My daughter and I decided last minute we needed to getaway. I was lucky enough to book a room. The owner had explained they we completely book, but had a last minute cancellation. This Motel is a landmark in the beautiful little downtown of Granby. There is a charm to this quaint little Motel and the owners are great! The rooms are spotless, and very comfortable. We were able to walk to a couple restaurants that were suggested, as well as a great place to go horseback riding and zip lining. We will definitely be back!

Just loved our room. Cozy and comfortable. Would stay again!
