Pioneer Pizza

Pioneer Pizza has some of the best pizza in Plain City. The crust is light and crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are ample. The same goes for the Stromboli. The salads are fresh and crisp, although I do wish they’d make their own House Italian Dressing. They could really be creative with their own recipe. Also, they could have a larger selection or “Real Beers,” and not just the candy flavored ones that the kids like.

Oh, and the Funnel Fries with Icing ??? …. What? OMG They Are Delicious !!! Get your’s while they are still legal; but be sure to bring your insulin pen…. Parking is easy if you go early.

Wings were insanely good. Next time I’m in Plain City, I will without a doubt be back. Them wings be going craaazy on the mouthpiece!

I would like to write a review of a single visit, but since my kids insist on visiting Pioneer Pizza over and over I will just say that this is the best pizza around. We have been to pioneer pizza over 20 times and ordered pick up an additional countless times. We have yet to have a negative experience and this is just one of the best pizza places in the world. Options including eating inside and watching sports on the TV (my 6 y/o son's favorite) or listening to music and dancing like crazy outside (my daughter, 4 y/o favorite) there is something for everyone. We will continue to visit for years to come and I can't wait to continue to build memories at our favorite dinner location!

After a day at the pumpkin farm/corn maze we went to Pioneer Pizza on the way home. It is located in Plain City, and we are so glad we found it living closer to Columbus. Their pizza is good, but the rolled Stromboli is THE BEST! They have something for everyone! We have always eaten in, usually 8-10 of us, and they don’t have a lot of inside seating, but it is casual and we’ve never had to wait for a table. The bartender is also the server, so on a busy night, we wait a little longer. But we love it!

Outstanding pizza! Honestly one of the best I’ve had. Our celiac daughter had the gluten free pizza and they were super accommodating. Took all kinds of precautions and it was by far the best gf pizza we’ve had in 5 years of being gf. My son chose her gf pizza over the gluten pizza.

Service was great and pizza was awesome. Hidden gem.

Been following this place on Facebook since they opened and I made the trip there which was worth it even now in hungry for it.
I got the all the way with pineapple, The dough is natural not bunch of modifies, sugar very symmetrical, consistant crust, texture all in house made, the topping were good the mushrooms, veggies were fresh cut onto pizza making it wholesome and delicious, the sauce is very paletable good tomato base, its not the generic, canned sauces, or added bunch of sugar, salts to make you want it, but good recipe base.
The peporinie were over layed over another giving you beautiful bite an combination of fully cooked crust with a soft crunch, pairing of sauce the cheese, peoprine, then veggies.
I absolutely love it ive been a hound dogs, Giordanios person for awhile but ive meet my match next is the taco pizza and a sub!
And I there dinning area is very calm, and inviting area with good acomdations, comfortable seating, and all the ementies for your pizza even crayons for kids to use, the place is good for a meeting, get together, or night time dinner cravings.

Fantastic pizza. One of THE best in Union County, if not the best. The crust is perfectly crisped, great sweet sauce, the cheese is top grade, and the other toppings were more than on point. I expected average. They delivered exceptionally. Pay no attention to the service ratings that drag this place's score down. Mishaps happen. Pay more attention to the fact that their score may say nothing about the quality of food. This place is legit.

Literally the BEST cauliflower crust pizza I've ever had. I got the chicken bacon ranch and it was 10/10. They use a ton of toppings! The staff was friendly and helpful.

This pizza is hands down always consistently delicious! The homemade sausage is so different. I usually only want pepperoni but this sausage is just tasty! I drive over 20 minutes to get this pizza! I found out today they have outdoor seating!! So happy as I am undergoing meds that compromised my immune system so am still trying to eat outside! Can’t to go back! Not to mention the staff is sweet! See u guys soon!

Absolutely loved their pizza here. The Old Fashioned was LOADED with pepperoni. Great crust, sauce, seasoned and baked perfectly. Well worth the drive, and the slightly slow service. We will most definitely be returning.

Great pizza, adult beverages, located in an Historic building.

We ordered two pizzas for carry out. Our order was ready in 25 minutes on a Saturday evening, 5 minutes faster than promised. After reading other negative reviews, I peaked into the boxes before leaving the store. Pizzas looked and smelled great and were steaming hot. The original crust was superb; crispy on the bottom and not tough. Veggie pizza and meat lover’s pizza were both excellent!

Excellent pizza! Our first time trying them out, but we will be back. I had the Hawaiian (minus the green peppers) and my wife has the All The Way. Both pizzas were loaded with toppings. The original crust was just right. They finished it off with friendly service. It took a little longer than other pizza places from order to pickup, but it was worth it.

Had a Chicken Bacon Ranch sub tonight. It was excellent. Nough said.

The pizza chef is great, the pizza is the best ever. All the way down to the box!!

A new favorite! When our youngest started driving, we started making every Friday night a pizza adventure. We would let her get driving hours in by driving us to a new pizza place that wasn't quite so local. She has her license now, but the tradition continues. Or it did until we came here. We keep coming back here instead of trying new places. Love the crust! Love the locally owned feel rather than a chain restaurant. We've always had great pizza and great service!
