The rooms are nice especially the 3rd floor. Out of all the times my wife and I been here we had no trouble at all! Robert is amazing he makes me feel very welcome and right at home makes the place 10 times better!

My husband and I have come here several times when we need a place to stay for the night. I’d like to commend the front desk associate, Robert for his excellent service. He’s always been helpful and friendly!

It was the most affordable hotel close to my activities in Tucson, I could even go walking. Got everything what I was expecting: clean room, comfortable bed, ironing board, TV, very good WiFi (even for Zoom meetings in the room). Staff very helpful and friendly. I did not use the pool, because activities and climate would not allow. I would come back, if I needed a place to stay in Tucson again.

I've stayed here off and on since 2015. It's always a good experience, rooms are clean, location is central to downtown area and 4th Ave. They offer coffee, juices and a few items for breakfast. For the price, I can't go wrong, and they have a pool !! I'll be back !!

This place was a real sanctuary for us on our road trip. We arrived tired and asked for a quiet room, they instantly put us in a room on the third floor with great view and very quiet. Then although we needed help multiple times throughout our stay including locking ourselves out of our own bathroom late at night haha. They we’re on it, helping us with a great attitude and really good vibes. Thanks for the stay guys!

Ummm so all the bad reviews are definitely based on old management cause the lady working there now told me she'd taken over recently and my experience was perfectly fine. The hotel I booked originally was a filthy abomination so I was looking for a new place to stay. The lady here was nice enough to let me see the room before paying (an expensive lesson I had to learn the hard way) and everything was a breath of fresh air especially compared to the last place. It's just what you'd expect when checking into any hotel: a clean space, clean bathroom, no bugs, no residue or anything weird. The AC works properly, the TV microwave and fridge are all plugged in and working properly. There was even a little table with two chairs for me to eat and put my stuff. Didnt need to look at a second room or anything. And it wasn't too expensive either. She let's you know a time frame when she's available so please respect her and don't take advantage of her kindness. I was in Tucson getting tattoos and felt comforted knowing I had a decent place to go back to. At one point I unscrewed a light bulb because I couldn't find the switch.. hopefully they see this and just screw it back in and don't think it's broken.. lol oops! I also tried to clean up as much as possible like throw out trash and fold towels but I think I left some stuff in the fridge and might've stained a sheet or two from all the tattoo ink idk I'm not perfect but I'm sure they will take care of it and perhaps this review will make it up. Oh also it's like RIGHT next to Popeyes so I had an easy breakfast spot and there's a convenience store one block away. Don't let the other reviews scare you - they're doing just fine now :) enjoy Arizona!

Every time I come back to Tucson Az is where I stay.
Is a family owned business and they run the place with pride. Very clean and safe place to be.
Is an old hotel but if you want clean and safe place is the place to be.
Mr Harry and wife are an excellent people.
Rooms are with tile floor and have a small fridge.
Ice are available.
Free breakfast.
Also a soda machine by the office.
Location is excellent. Main intersection is Speedway and Stone Ave. Easy access from freeway.
Close to restaurants.
Don't let the old retro signs from the area make you uncomfortable, is very quiet. Feel at home.

Robert the front desk host was extremely nice , respectful and professional!

I passed through town late Saturday night and after calling every hotel in town this was the only place with a room available. When I got there it looked a little sketchy but to my surprise the room was actually pretty nice and clean. Check in and out was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to be able to rest your head and not have to worry about cockroaches or bed bugs because these people are maticulause when it comes to cleaning and room up keep. Harry at the front desk is as nice as can be and has unbeatable customer service skills . So I would recommend this place to anyone that is traveling and far from home or just doing a little starvation with that someone special or solo either way its a very nice and pleasant place to stay .

These people are very, very pleasant. The motel is aged, though well maintained, and clean. Shower gets good and hot, which I like. Very economical, cannot beat the price. Close to downtown with plenty of eateries. Recommend.

The people there are very nice and polite and worked with I recommend them to anyone that is looking for an motel cheap and affordable no problems here very nice very clean and decent rooms to stay in they had free breakfast in the mornings

Hotel is very dated, but the rooms are exceptionally clean. They really do a good job keeping the place up. Room has tv, microwave, frig, and little other amenities. It's perfect without the bells and whistles. We will stay here again.

Despite many bad reviews, I enjoyed the place! Rooms are nice and neat, lights are sufficient, beds are well done! You may not see a lot of staffs, but they are friendly and helpful to say the least. By the way, free breakfast from 7-9AM, and it's quite neat!

Hi my name is Elsa McClellan I have stayed here at the econo lodge university in Tucson as. My experience here was absolutely wonderful. I am not a morning person do u didn't mind there breakfast . what made my stay pleasant was the staff. The GM and the the front desk staff and housekeeping have made my stay there pleasant .

Spacious rooms, quaint bathrooms. Smoking rooms available and to my surprise the room did NOT smell like a bar or casino! Whatever y'all r doin to deodorizer the smoking rooms- keep it up! It works.!

I enjoyed my stay. Friendly helpful staff that went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with my stay. My room was clean and the location was great for restaurants and it's very close to the U of A campus.

This Hotel is very nice , Quite & very clean... The manager that works there is very nice man. All the Co workers that work there r also nice & they give u what u need when u ask them for it like shampoo, toilet paper etc.... I really suggugest anyone to stay there.. I thank u all for everything....

The property manager is kind and attentive. The rates are fair and the rooms are always clean and tidy. I would recommend this establishment anytime.
