Topnotch Resort

Great spot for our visit to Stowe in the summer. Front desk, management and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. Any issues and they respond immediately. Our condo was very spacious with every amenity you’d need. The facilities are top notch too, the gym, spa, pools, so much going on here. On-site restaurant The Roost is a gem too.

My husband and I got married at Topnotch about a year ago and have done nothing but rave about our experience, so I am finally putting my thoughts into a review! We hosted our full wedding weekend at Topnotch -- rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, wedding, and farewell brunch -- and it was all just lovely. Topnotch has several different event spaces that we were able to utilize based on our needs for the different events. There is even another event space (which I believe can be used for smaller weddings) that we used for our first look, private vows, and bridal party photos. Sufficed to say, whatever your needs are for your wedding weekend, Topnotch has you covered. Beyond just having beautiful, functional facilities though, Topnotch also has an absolutely incredible wedding coordinator. From our very first phone call with her, Liz made us feel seen and taken care of. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, connected us with some incredible vendors that reflected our taste and vision, and was just an amazing resource throughout the whole planning process. And of course, she was just fantastic on the day of the wedding. We ended up getting rain during the ceremony, but Liz was able to pivot flawlessly from having the ceremony in a field next to the reception tent to having it in our back-up tent. Liz and the whole Topnotch staff were so great to work with, the food was delicious, and the venue so nicely showcased the beauty of Vermont... I could truly go on and on! I hope we have another opportunity to host an event there in the future!

Stayed here last weekend. Service is superior! Staff is fantastic. Carol at reception has been there through it all and is absolutely the sweetest! Their spa is top notch for sure.. pay the extra 20 for a day pass to the men's or women's lounge if you just want a relaxing atmosphere with no kids . The rooms very very nice and spacious.. hot tub with waterfall was better then a massage . Anna at the bar makes a mean espresso martini !

We had a great time at this hotel, and we particularly loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. We only had two nights and didn't get a chance to relax around the firepit, which I'm sure would have been great. Dinner on the first night was amazing, with fantastic food and great service, despite the restaurant being busy. Unfortunately the service on the second night (when fewer guests were dining) was poor, and this resulted in our food being quite cold when it arrived. We couldn't get staff attention to feed back or to get water. We were too tired and hungry to seek out someone so we ate it anyway, but it was a totally different experience from the first night.

I’ve stayed here twice now. Proper customer service - they really make you feel welcomed and at home. I’ll continue to bring my business here. Each visit has been very pleasant and accommodating. 2 minutes from the mountain BTW. Can’t beat it.

Room was nice. Was on ground level. Would have been amazing if it was up higher and had better views of the mountains. Spa was nice. Definitely think winter is the time to go as the outdoor pool and hot tub run year round. We are considering going back then if they offer Vermont resident stay deals.

Beautiful location in Stowe Vermont, we rented a house and got a family day pass to the spa.

hands down our favorite stowe hideaway! we love the rooms, nicely appointed, quiet, clean and up to date. the service is always friendly, professional and most accommodating. delicious food, close to all the action north and south within a beautiful and scenic setting. best of all our four legged friend gets to come with us! pampered "us", pampered pooch, what more could you ask for? thank you topnotch for everything, we'll be back!

We loved the pool, breakfast at Roost, roasting s’mores and watching the sunset! It’s a great location for a getaway, the staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and we even had a great time visiting with other guests in and around the common areas. We visited in the early spring, but I’m sure this property is stunning in the fall or snowy season too!

Really great hotel. The only complaint is you have to walk a couple minutes to the shuttle. Not sure why they don't have it pick up at the entrance. Not a big deal in shoes, but with ski equipment it's a bit of a hassle. The bell staff is exceptional. The pools and hot tubs, sauna and steam room are great.

My family and I spent a weekend here and had the most amazing time. The customer service is unmatched with everyone being so accomodating. The chalet with the shuttle to Stowe mountain made it convenient and was almost like a ski in ski out experience. The pools and jacuzzi were also great to have after a long day of skiing. The restaurant was also great and had phenomenal service as well as a great variety of food. I highly recommend this

Booked this place last minute for a trip to Stowe… didn’t put much thought into it… this place is waaay waaay nicer than your average ski motel but the pricing is competitive! Staff are super nice, lounge bar is great and right next to the mountain. Would definitely recommend

Grabbed a 3-night stay here for a getaway with my spouse, was a great resort in a great spot in VT. We enjoyed the clean room, comfortable bed though the bathrooms could use updating. The amenities were extensive, we enjoyed playing tennis both indoor and outdoor, in addition to all of the indoor and outdoor pool options. Some locals had memberships to the resort amenities so caution on going during really busy times. Would have been great with a family/kids as well as a quiet trip for a couple.

Top Notch was our choice for a 210+ person June 2023 outdoor Wedding on site. Liz took exceptional care of us and our Bride daughter and party. Our group basically took over the hotel and Liz and entire team made us feel at home from beginning to end including multiple tent set up, seated dinner and horses and mountains in the background! The wedding was everything our daughter (and her Mom) had hoped for and more... despite the rain which Top Notch basically made irrelevant. We could not have been more pleased!

Had a fantastic time here and would definitely say it is worth the visit for a relaxing luxurious stay. The attention to detail was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and the grounds were perfect. We came in an electric car (a Tesla) and they had complementary charging... that was a huge plus for us. Big shout out to Ardlely who greeted us upon our arrival. She was warm, friendly, and very personable. Absolutely the right person to make an impactful first impression and set an amazing couple of days off to the right start.

The wife and I have had a great relaxing day! The staff was incredible, we got a couples massage, pedis, and ate dinner at the Roost. Steven and Jessica did great I had a sport injury and she applied the perfect amount of pressure and helped ease the pain away.

The thing that stood out to me was the quality of care the staff took in making sure we were happy and comfortable. The faculties were perfect and Dan our spa manager set everything up for us and checked in throughout the day to make sure we were comfortable.

I had stopped coming years ago but since the new owners took over and hired the new great staff we couldn't be happier and the value was back again!

If you go to the Roost get the flatbread it was irresistible, the drinks were a perfect way to wind down the evening. We love their shuffleboard table as well, it's so nice to have things to do while you unwind.

I don't think we met one unhappy person there, we will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Every staff member was wonderful, pleasant, and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with amazing mountain views. The resort is in a perfect location for views of the mountain and foliage - as well as very ideally located for the Stowe Recreation Path, which was one of the highlights of our trip, and the town and local restaurants as well as the scenic Smugger's Notch. We will definitely be back!

Had our wedding here, wouldn't have changed a thing. Liz Seward and her team are phenomenal and catered to our every need with grace and poise. If you're on the fence, lean the hell over cause this is well worth the adventure.

The scenery is breathtaking, and rooms at the Topnotch Resort are fantastic. We always enjoy our stay. The massage left me feeling like jello because it was so relaxing. The spa area is beautiful and quiet, at great place to recover after a massage, or even for some quiet time after a day hiking or at the pool. My only disappointment during our stay is that the restaurant Flannel closed down. We enjoyed the delicious food at Flannel, as we sat outside and looked at the view of the mountain. This no longer exists. The only restaurant that is left is The Roost. When we ate at the Roost before Covid, it was pleasant. The food was also remarkable. We ate at the Roost during our stay. The staff was friendly but the food was absolutely horrible! The 2 of us spent over 150 on a meal that had absolutely no taste. We dont mind spending money on food when we are on vacation and we definitely enjoy staying at Topnotch. It is just disappointing that we have to travel off property for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort would have so much more to offer if they utilized their restaurant space and hired a chef who knows how to cook.

Top Notch Resort is outstanding. The staff are the friendliest, and really make you feel at home. The room was very clean and cozy. The view of the mountain and resort grounds outside the window was beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable and warm. The walls are a bit thin so it is possible to hear the room next door. This did not diminish the quality and comfort of the resort though. The indoor pool was the perfect temperature and very large, with lane for doing laps. The hot tub had a very nice waterfall, and was very spacious. There are two on-resort restaurants, The Roost and Flannel. Flannel offers a very delicious breakfast, with room service offered. I did not have the opportunity to try The Roost, but their menu appeared broad with many good dishes. Every aspect of the resort was outstanding and I would definitely stay again.
