Cleland's Outdoor World

First time firearm purchase in Ohio since I moved here. Process was very pleasant. Guns all shapes and sizes from small to large calibers. John was knowledgeable and non judgemental showing me the ins and outs of what we were purchasing. I am very happy and eager to come back soon and test out the range. Thanks again !!

This review is based solely upon myself and my wife's experience in attaining our CCW certification through Clelands. I've read other reviews where people rip them to shreds over bows, guns, attitudes, and general experience. I can't attest to any of that. I can only say that our personal experience was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect but our instructor (Chad Cleland) was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Clelands to anyone that's interested in obtaining their CCW certification.

We initially went here to get info about their gun range and protocol. The gentleman we spoke with was very helpful (think his name was Gary...unsure) and invited my wife and I to shoot.
He offered some helpful pointers to my wife which made her relax. This improved her marksmanship and gun handling. All in all, Cleland's is an excellent place to shoot. Personnel are informative and knowledgeable.
Highly recommended.

Bow tech knows his stuff. Took his time helping me get my bow tuned in. Will be back with any bow related business. Also had very good prices on top end compounds and crossbows

Friendly knowledgeable staff and lots of in-stock items from beginner to expert level. They have an indoor firearm and archery range as well.

I've been to Cleland's several times and purchased one of my firearms there. Decent price on the gun, good price on ammo and great pricing on range time. Also took CCW course there with Chad. A most infomative class. Everyone there is very helpful and friendly, which is why I drive from Rossford to Cleland's (20 mins or so) instead of going to Towers. Will continue to go to Cleland's in hopes I can improve on those pesky left and down shots.

I've gone to the Cleland shop practically since they opened. I compete and I hunt. I have purchased there, consigned a few items, had smithy work done, shot at their range, did my first carry class with them, and more. The family and their staff have always been helpful. I may be unlicensed, but I also have enjoyed shooting the bull with staff and customers there. A lot of useful knowledge can be had in talking with them. Yes, there have been times they were busy with other customers and I left, only to return later. That's the nature of any business at times. But when you're with them, you get their full attention. Pricing? Depends on what you want. I want a friend that will take care of me long after a purchase. This they do. I've never had a regret in dealing with this store.

Really nice place and staff is very friendly. I used to shoot here all the time for many years when I was younger and it’s nice to see they have continued to keep up and improve there facilities. I have started to bring my kids here to work on there marksmanship it’s nice to not have everyone around us mag dumping while training them. (nothing against it cause it is fun to rapid fire )

I've purchased many firearms and bows from Clelands. The new ownership has done great, and the staff is very knowledgeable. Garland in archery is particularly great!

I've purchased firearms from Cleland's and always had a good experience from the entire sales staff. Last week I bought a Glock 43 X and I love It! Two thumbs up to all the employees here. All are polite, informative and professional. I will be back in the future! 🙂

Very friendly staff and so helpful with any advice on what your asking! love this place I get my compound bow restrung there! now I've gotten into black powder revolvers and haven't looked at all the firearm equipment to see if they have what I'm looking for!?? gotten a nice 44 cal. Black powder revolver but don't know what I need to fire it I'd like to try to hunt with it this coming hunting season!!!

Cleland's is amazing. They have the best customer service. When you leave the building, you are not just a sale but a friend. You do not just leave happy with your purchase, you leave with knowledge.
I bought a gun that had issues. It went back to the MFG twice. The next time, they said no just pick out a new gun.
I saw a gun there that I had seen somewhere else at a better price. The matched the price and I still get the Cleland"s great service.
Many times I go in just to ask questions. No intention to buy. I still am treated like the most important person in the shop.
The classes they teach are also the best. I feel very comfortable with my guns,. shooting, reloading, etc...after attending Cleland's courses.
I recommend Cleland's for every shooter or potential shooter. You are not just another sale to them.

I just got home and couldn’t update my review fast enough. Today I went in looking to buy some arrows. After selecting the ones I needed I asked if I could get them cut. Drew (the store manager) told me to put them back. At first I was confused but then he comes out of the back and gave me a box of the same arrows I was going to buy FOR FREE!!!! I was just going in for arrows but I ended up buying a stabilizer and a quiver (for my wife)as well. I’m going to keep coming back to this shop. I’m going to make it my exclusive bow shop! Also staff was super friendly. A lot of smiling and asking if I needed anything. I have to say I’m glad I came in to the shop and gave it a fair chance. You have my business 100%

Left me start off I’m a difficult customer. I needed a great deal of help with my bow. I walked in and everyone greeted me politely and with a genuine want to help me. Gayland in the bow shop helped me and I couldn’t have been treated better. Customer service is a fantasy in most stores, not this one. My business was earned today and I will not forget it for future purchases. If anyone from the management reads the reviews Gayland rejuvenated my belief customer service is not gone. My Husband and I took the CCW course today and we were really impressed with the entire course. Chad was very knowledgeable, thorough, and his humor made the class fun
Definitely will be registering for more classes and going to the range often.

I ran across these reviews and thought it important to know that opinions differ. I'm new to target shooting and took a private lesson to get range qualified. It was a very relaxing and informative experience. I've been there 4 times since renting various pistols each time. I am not a rapid fire person but I've never seen those that are get hassled. There is no prohibition on rapid fire that I can see. Their prices seem fair compared to other places I've stopped and while they are higher than some places on the Internet one only has to understand the nature of Internet marketing. Add the deliver or pickup charge and their pricing is very much in line. Last, there is a reason they've been around forever; there has to be a reason.

I came in this morning to have a bullet removed from the barrel that was stuck. They greeted me professionally and had it fixed at no charge in under 5 minutes. Another staff member took his time to talk to me at length about a product that I was considering buying. These people care about what they do. They are passionate and knowledgeable. Stop in and see for yourself.

I would like to say "Thank You" to the gentleman that helped me at Clelands today. I'm assuming he was a manager or owner...
But I just bought a new gun and I am also new to shooting and as I walked in the door, he was the first person I saw and right away I asked if he recommended I get my gun looked over since I bought it used. He took my gun and checked it out for me and confirmed it was in good condition. I proceeded to the range and assisted me in a good way to shoot my gun because it has such a long trigger pull to it. His advice was great and he treated me very kindly. Being a lady, men don't seem to think that we know what we are doing when it comes to guns and he treated me, just like I'm assuming, he treats everyone else. At the end of my range rental he eve showed me how to take my gun apart to clean it.

Went there a couple of weeks ago and had a Groupon. I was so impressed with the direction that my grandson and I received. I have another Groupon and one for archery and my grandchildren are so excited after hearing about their brothers experience. My grandson loved his experience that he is now saving to purchase the gun he shot. I was very surprised at what a great time it was. Nathan was the best!

If you’re looking for an archery tech that actually cares about you, your archery equipment, and anything to do with improving gear and shot process, ask for Bryce. I was fortune enough to work with him today and he totally changed my opinion of Cleland’s archery department. I’ve had a few negative experiences in the past because I felt like I was bugging the other tech and got the perception that I was a burden.
