Tillinghast Manor

Best place!!! If you aren't staying here you are missing out. Jean and Mike go over and above anything you can imagine. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need and more. The breakfast/brunch is amazing. I can't wait to come back and spend time there and see Jean, Mike, and Teddy.

We loved staying at Tillinghast. Jean and Mike are great hosts, generous and delicious brunch. Rooms are large and well-equipped. Location is very nice, just not many dining options nearby. But we definitely will stay again when we are in the area.

What an amazing find. We have been upstate for both business and pleasure! I will not stay any other place! We have truly found a home away from home! The owners are fantastic, from service to food and everything in between. For the adventure seekers, you have a 15 to 20 minute ride to waterfalls. For the foodies at heart, the breakfast is just the icing on the cake! Staying at Tillinghast will not be something you will regret!

I am now spoiled for anyplace else. This place brings you back in time but with all the modern day essentials. The owners think of everything. The mini fridge is stocked, snacks every where. Beautiful. Mike and Jean are amazing hosts. They decorate the room to whatever your occasion, anniversary, birthday. Their brunch is outstanding. This place is worth every penny and more. Highly recommend!

Jean and Mike were the most awesome hosts - wonderful helpings of hospitality, conversation, helpfulness as well as awesome brunches that you have to taste to believe.

Great atmosphere and conversation among the hosts and guest chillin' around the fire with some tasty local wines.

Location is great with easy access to many vineyards on shores of both Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Great restaurants around the area for dinner.

The Manor is a classic manor updated with modern conveniences while keeping its original charm and impressive architecture. Woodwork and ambiance that's to die for.

The crown jewels are Jean and Mike - they literally make you feel like family with hospitality that's second to none.

We're looking forward to our next trip "upstate" and would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Tillinhast.

It took some time to write this review and for that I'm sorry. My husband and I stayed at the Manor for a week with Mike and Jean and it was a wonderful vacation. The Manor is beautiful and the food was amazing. They are amazing and caring hosts. The best part of the stay was a sense of feeling like family. We truly miss it there and plan on returning this year. Most amazing experience. Thank you guys and we send our ❤

This place is truly phenomenal! The owners are super friendly and the house is so full of character and charm that is unmatched by anywhere else I stayed. The room we stayed in had a beautiful bath and was very clean and pleasant. The owners provided us with guides and information about the area to make sure we make the best use of our time. They also provided insane treats such as basket of snacks, fresh fruit and cake and soft drinks. The location is fantastic if you like hiking! Parks and waterfalls are all within very close distance. Due to COVID we could not try the brunch that is offered, but looking forward to a longer stay and brunch next time. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed for one night in November and had a wonderful time! We were sad to leave the next morning.
It was wonderful to see pictures and hear the stories about all of the renovations done to bring the Manor back to its full beauty.
Brunch was the most amazing experience we have ever experienced. We enjoyed lively conversation with the owners and can not be more excited about returning and exploring local wineries and experiencing wonderful hospitality again.

Stayed here while attending wedding in region. Great find. Jean and Mike go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are doing fantastic job renovating home. Jean even takes note of what you like and will put that coffee in your room or favorite drink. Our 2 room suit was very comfortable and updated. Loved it!!! We will be back when visit our friends there.

I would highly recommend Tillinghast manor, if you are planning a trip to Seneca Lake or Cayuga Lake. The manor is perfectly located between both lakes. Jean and Mike, were great hosts. They have thought of everything you might need during your stay. Upon our arrival they greeted us at the door. They showed us around and left us a wonderful welcome gift basket in our room. They are very knowledgeable in answering any questions you might have. I would recommend staying in the Roosevelt room. The manor is a historical place. We definitely will stay here, when we return.

In a world of COVID- unfortunately having brunch is not an option. However- this did not stop the grace, kindness and hospitality of Mike and Jean. A stocked fridge, a coffee bar and clean room that feels like home. We stayed two nights and upon a return from a day on the lake on night two we were greeted with mini cheesecakes and bread and cheese. The hosts were thoughtful and kind and the 1800 house is beautiful and preserved in the most wonderful way.

5/5 would recommend- we will be back.

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of B&B’s and I have to say, Tillinghast was the best for so many reasons. Our host’s Jean and Mike were so friendly and thoughtful and gave many recommendations about where to go in the area, there was so much detail to make us feel comfortable and at home during our stay. Also, it was super convenient to be centrally located to so many places, Geneva, Seneca Falls, Watkins Glen, Ithaca and many wineries and breweries in between! Can’t wait to go back to the area and looking forward to staying at this beautiful house again!

We visited two years ago for the 4th of July weekend. Our experience at Tillinghast can be summed up as phenomenal!

We stayed for a night and will definitely go back. The owners attention to detail is spot on. They take the nessary precautions for cleaning and safety for COVID-19. The home is nicely decorated, the owners make you feel welcome, and there are many great places to eat and activities to keep you busy.

Gorgeous home, delicious brunch! Innkeepers are friendly and accommodating. A peacful place to stay in the Finger Lakes region while exploring all it has to offer.🍷

We stayed one night and are already talking about how much we want to return. Such a beautiful, pristine and historic property and the owners were beyond helpful! We will be back during future visits to the Finger Lakes.
