We booked a night on our way to Niagra for the eclipse. This was our first time staying at Glass Magnolia. WOW! Wally & Nancy, the inn keepers, welcomed us to their b&b so kindly. I loved the big colums out front, very southern feel. We stayed on the first floor in the dog friendly room. There was a gas fire place and a tv above it. I spent the morning enjoying my coffee on the recliner next to the fire place. What a dream! We had a door to the back balcony that was quick access to let our dog out to bathroom. Everything was clean and very homey. There is a fully stocked tea/coffee area available 24/7. I love the location of this B&B. Its on a quite street away from the major hustle and bustle of the FLX. If you are looking for a dinner spot, O'mally's restaurant is on the water less than 5 minutes away. Great bar, food, and views. Also, very dog friendly. The breakfast at Glass Magnolia was my favorite part of the stay! oh my! I had the sour cherry waffle with potato casserole. My husband had the spring eggs (dill and chives), with meat hash and hashbrowns. The breakfast started with warm zucchini bread and fresh flavorful fruit. There are 2 breakfast seatings for the late sleepers. The house dog is named Gus. He loved all the pets & was welcoming our dog Stella. I 10/10 recommend. Everything you could need and more.

If traveling to Watkins Glen/Lake Seneca/Ithaca area, this is a wonderfully charming B&B! Nancy & Wally are top-notch hosts. We stayed 3 nights in the spacious Windsor Suite. The extra little dressing area was a nice convenience, as was the fact that we had access to a refrigerator and sink. The breakfasts were So Delicious ~great presentation of fruits and breads, and the main dishes were always fresh-made, hot, and unbelievably scrumptious! We enjoyed chatting with our hosts each morning, and when saying goodbye our last day there, we felt like we were saying bye to dear friends. It is not your modern hotel, but rather a place filled with charm, antiques, and hand-made quilts that almost feel like a hug from the past! We will definitely stay here again next time we travel through this area.

I cannot possibly say enough good things about our stay at Glass Magnolia. Nancy and Wally are excellent hosts - the breakfasts, homemade by Wally, were sublime. (A sampling: pumpkin pancakes with bourbon pecan sauce, mushroom omelet, eggs benedict, pancakes with apple compote, homemade maple sausage - and every breakfast came with Nancy's homemade breads and fresh fruit.)

The rooms were quaint and lovely, the yard was large for our 1-year-old to crawl around and explore. Our rental car's battery died four mornings in a row and Wally was kind enough to take time out and jump the car for us each time.

They are also great conversationalists with interesting stories to tell.

Don't hesitate to stay here. I will never stay anywhere else in the Finger Lakes again.

This is my second time back at the Glass Magnolia B&B. I absolutely love this place- a true hidden gem. I want to keep it my little secret. Nancy and Wally are the best hosts, everything is always cozy, and it feels like home. Don’t even get me started on Wally’s cooking, I could talk about it forever. Can’t wait for trip #3! Oh and make sure, if you go, give Gus a big ole dog hug for me. He is the BEST!

Spent 3 nights here and we plan to be back. Nancy was a very attentive hostess, Wally cooked up some awesome dishes for breakfast and Gus was a pleasure to interact with. We were some of the younger guests that weekend but were attended to perfectly. Wally would always greet us with " did you kids have fun today? or what's on your agenda today kids?" The location is ideal as you can access much of the regions attractions in a very short drive. We stayed in the lady Spencer room, the bed was comfortable, there was always hot water and we had just enough space. The property has charm and old world appeal, don't come expecting modern generic hotel. Hoping to be back soon with cooler weather and less smoky skies.

Nancy and Wally are just amazing. They are genuinely kind and take pride in ensuring that guests have a great experience. We stayed in the Lord Cromwell room. The room itself is a bit dated, but it did not bother us. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests in the kitchen area nightly. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful couple nights stay here while vacationing in the Finger Lakes. Nancy and Wally are amazing hosts, extra shout out to Wally’s fantastic cooking. Breakfast every morning was delicious and we had the custom dinner package and everything there was delicious. They are nicely situated a short driving distance from all the wineries in the area. We drove not even 30min away to the farthest winery and slowly made our way back and there’s at least 20 wineries on the one road.
Would definitely return for another trip!

Great hosts! My sister and I enjoyed everything about our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Wally’s breakfasts were excellent! Nancy’s communications before and during our visit were super. The location was perfect for seeing the sights on three of the lakes. The Glass Magnolia is highly recommended!

My partner of forty years and I recently had a wonderful two-night stay at Glass Magnolia B&B. Overall, we really enjoyed out stay. Our room was comfortable and both breakfasts were excellent. We would definitely recommend this B&B for a stay in the Finger Lakes area. We were attracted to the area by the waterfalls in the State Parks.

Arrival and check-in was quick and easy with Wally, Nancy, and Gus all greeting us. We had a quick tour of the breakfast room and the guest kitchen in the main house and we were then shown our room.

Our room, the Lord Mayfair, has a king-size bed and a good size bathroom with shower only (no tub). It was clean and comfortable. A window air conditioning unit is available but we mostly just left the windows open overnight using the A/C for just an hour or two to cool the room off. There is a fair amount of road noise with the windows open in this room since it is right at the front of the house but the traffic dies down to nothing after around 11 p.m. We didn’t get to see any of the other rooms so I can’t really comment on them.

Coffee or tea are always available in the main house guest kitchen as well as some fruit in a basket to help yourself if you’d like. I understand the other house also has a kitchen for guest use but I am not aware of what, if anything, is available there.
Both morning’s breakfasts were excellent. Breakfasts started with a fruit plate along with freshly baked loaf. Juice or water are offered at the table. There are two choices for breakfast each morning and Wally does a great job preparing the food.

We enjoyed having a beer one evening on the front veranda. Wally and Nancy also welcomed our use of the guest dining room one evening for a dinner we purchased from a grocery store. Restaurants in the immediate area are limited and they all seem to have nights where they are closed so check Google for hours before you head to any particular restaurant.

Check-out was also very easy. Return your room key to Wally or Nancy, they confirm your payment method for the balance owing and away you go.

As mentioned previously we would definitely recommend Glass Magnolia B&B.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast each morning was delicious. We had fantastic chats with the hosts and other guest over breakfast each morning, discussing things to do and places to eat in the area. We would certainly stay here again without hesitation when we go back. This is very cosy, laid-back B&B and it's exactly how we wanted it!

This is literally the best bed and breakfast I have ever been to. The coziness in both houses is truly comforting to anyone traveling long or short distances. Owned by the cutest couple, Wally is an amazing chef and always provides the most delicious breakfasts. Nancy is lovely and provides great, funny and wholesome conversation. They are super close to an array of beautiful wineries and are sure to make it a good time for everyone. I've been there many times and plan to go many more! You're missing out if you don't make a trip here :-)

Between Seneca and Cayuga there's a really nice joint called the Glass Magnolia in Interlaken, it's virtually dead center of wine tasting. Excellent home base for a wine and cheese weekend getaway. Breakfast by Wally every morning of your stay will not disappoint. Fun and inventive flavors accompanied by daily special quick breads with every meal.

Don't forget to book one of their rooms that has a 2-person jacuzzi tub to relax into after a day of wine, cheese and hard cider.

I agree with their claims that:

"From weddings to wine tours, or a simple weekend getaway with your loved one, it's all waiting for you at Glass Magnolia Bed and Breakfast..."

One of the most lovely comfortable and beautiful B&Bs we’ve stayed in. We loved it. Nancy & Wally are amazing hosts, Wally an OUTSTANDING chef. Our band came for Grassroots festival. There were 12 of us. And they handled us with great ease and care and felt spoiled by the amazing breakfast every morning. Cute town too.

we didn’t have cell reception there but wifi worked well. Quick drive to Tburg & Ithaca. Lots of nature around. Beautiful old house.
And we loved their dog, Gus. He’s the mascot of the grounds. ;-)

Wally and Nancy were so very welcoming to us as we arrived. We were greeted by Gus Gus (the friendliest dog I’ve met) along with Wally and Nancy who showed us around and to our room. They offered recommendations based on what we were looking for and Wally’s breakfasts were AMAZING!!! You will not find another B&B where you truly feel like family. We will be going back again!!!

Wally and Nancy were so welcoming and we felt great during our entire stay. Breakfast was delicious! It was our daughter's first time at a bed and breakfast and she loved it! It was a wonderful way to start our vacation. The nearby state parks are incredible. We went to Taughannock Falls and also did a beautiful bike ride on the Black Diamond Trail. Our room was very comfortable - we had the Balcony Room and its adjoining bedroom, which were both very nice, and we loved the entire house as well as the grounds. We hope to be able to return again soon.
