The Channel Bar & Grill

My partner and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night in the summer. We sat on the deck and there was live music from a local band, overall great atmosphere outside. We shared the garlic cheese curds - they were awesome! The walleye sandwich and smokehouse burger were also very good. It is seat yourself and we were helped after a reasonable wait — just show up in a good mood, have patience and grace with the staff, and you will leave happy and full.

Great place to grab dinner. We drove the pontoon boat right up to one of their docks, tied off and we're greeted at the door.

Had a few beers and sandwiches. Really good food and a nice selection of beers. They also sell THC gummies at the bar.

We stopped by on a Sunday around lunchtime and were able to get seats right away. Our waiter was very fast and friendly. The food was pretty good and the beer selection was solid. All that, plus twice weekly meat raffles? Yes please. Overall a good experience- this lake/town is fortunate to have this here.

We stopped when out for a motorcycle the place was just amazing inside but the outside was even better. You can sit and watch the boats go through or ride your own boat up it has at least 4 docks...but wish it had better signs because if it wasn't for the couple we were with having been there before we would have missed the great views.

I'm here pretty regularly and have yet to get food that's anything short of exceptional. Wait times can be long when you go during their busy times, but overall, wait and bar staff are very attentive. You also can't beat their lake-view patio!

Excellent service & food for our no reservation drop in crowd of 15 people. We came in from the lake, ate on the deck. Wonderful.

Fun environment, family and good dog friendly, great beverages, tasty food! We got to hear Rattlesnake Justice. Live Music featured often. Park your car, motorcycle, atv, SxS, or pull up to a dock.

Just what you're looking for in an up-north bar, good food and a good beer selection. A well run, friendly place.

Visiting Minnesota, staying in Remer. Took short drive to Outing, thought we would stop in for lunch at The Channel Bar & Grill...first time there. Everything from service, food & atmosphere was wonderful/great! Loved that this place was lake front...beautiful grounds! I would definitely recommend!

This was a great little spot to eat. They worked with my food allergies and was super friendly during the whole time inwas there.

The Channel is the first place we head when we get to the cabin. Our puppy can sit with us outside on the deck. The food and waiters are both excellent!

Classic bar food with some fun unique sides and apps to pick from. Complimented with fun lake vibes year round inside or out on the patio. Good service and an all around local favorite spot to come on the boat or if you’re driving by.

First Timer here, stopped after a few hours after on the trail, their was six of us, I had the Ruben and the others had Patty melts, cheese burger,and the mustard burger.. everything was absolutely fantastic, the wait staff was on cue even being outside on a picnic table near the water. the wait was expected based on the crowd. I would definitely recommend. Oh, the fries are awesome too!

Nice spot on the channel in Outing MN. We sat on the deck on a beautiful Friday evening. The place was packed because of the meat raffle. We expected to wait awhile because of the crowd, but the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot and tasty. We didn’t buy any meat raffle tickets, but those who did seemed to be having fun and winning good stuff.

We love stopping at The Channel Bar &Grill! The food is good the drinks are cold, and the setting is delightful!

Went twice in one weekend. Just beers initially, and then bacon cheeseburgers the next! We had excellent service: even frequent visits coming back to ask us if we need refills even before our beers were finished! Food was hot and the burgers were amazing. Will definitely be back - great hospitality and hard workers.

Thank you so much for staying open during these stressful time. We were up for the weekend snowmobiling/ice fishing and came the the Channel for lunch and dinner every day. The locals are very friendly and we had a great time. Thank you so much! And the doggie was the cutest!!!! I miss our dogs so terribly when away and that just melted my heart to play with a pup while on vacation!

Wonderful outdoor seating right on the channel so you can watch the boats go thru. Had the sirloin appetizer, was excellent! Easy to get to location. The one negative I have is they only have one women's bathroom - one bathroom!
