The two very nice, polite, gentlemen that work at the crosslake post office are all that and a lot more.

I have been to this post office 3 times in the last month.
My experience has been positive and have not encountered any rude employee. Wonderful customer service.
I live in Crosslake part-time and have had Amazon packages delivered without a problem.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff at the CL Post Office. They have always been friendly and courteous towards me. I was recently out with Covid and they helped set things up so I could have someone pick up my mail for me. I called and the staff even recognized me and gathered all my mail and packages for the person whom I asked to pick up my mail. My only ask would be for more hours outside the normal work day, but I do not believe this is within their control that I am aware of.

My mail lady is amazing! She brings large items to my porch. Workers inside are friendly and efficient.

Hours for PO boxes should not be so limited, as there is no need for interaction with a person. Lobby doors could stay unlocked for those of us who can not make it during day hours.

Hours are terrible, too limited. And today, I waited for a package to be delivered and signed for, at home, and the delivery person never even drove in to my residence to see if I was available. Seems like service has gone downhill.

Poor management, lazy staff and doing the least they can for the town residents is how they roll here. We have had no issues with the carriers and it’s too bad they are caught up in this trainwreck.

For the most part, the workers at the front desk are friendly, however, once you try to find out WHY your package wasn’t delivered and being “returned to sender” and lectured because you aren’t a so-called “full time resident”, the jackals come out of the woodwork. The guy who was explained in other posts is extremely rude.

You know, if you’re in charge of things and have a huge influx of people in the summer, why the heck wouldn’t you plan for that, budget appropriately and hire part-timers during those busy months? That’s how it works in the corporate world and isn’t overly difficult. ALL of the people here pay huge taxes and deserve better treatment and service.

All it’s going to take is one person not getting a delivery of life-critical medications because of this “policy “and the massive lawsuit will put an end to this madness.

the absolute genius “missed our delivery” because i was cutting the grass and he refused to come over and say anything

Beyond rude. We own a lake home in Crosslake and they refuse to deliver packages because it’s not our primary address. Insane, we pay taxes here. They said they only get paid for packages for primary residents. Typical government rules. Wouldn’t even make a one time exception for the packages we have coming this week they said they will go right back. We even offered to come to the post office to get them and they said no guarantees. Last year the packages came just fine. Unbelievable.

The post office deserves a zero me and my family have had nothing but issues from the post office and the heavy set post master General is the rudest person we ever meet and he should be replaced I've witnessed him be a rude to alot of people that stopped in for different reasons I'm would actually rather have Emily post office deliver the mail in my area

The heavy set guy at the Crosslake Post Office was completely rude to the man in front of us checking on mail that was supposed to be held for his father who recently passed. Shocking how inconsiderate this guy was. He is consistently rude. The rest of the staff is great.

Terrible delivery service:
1.Mail stop was requested through USPS while we were on vacation. The request was made on line. When we returned from Vacation our mail box was stuffed. Mail hadn’t been stopped. Women at the Crosslake Post office desk acknowledged the mistake and apologized.
2.Unprotected mail, (loose letters), was left on the deck by our front door along with a package. This had happened before in the summer as well. We were told the mailbox on county road 66 needed to be shoveled out. Deliveries were made to adjacent mail stations on both sides, North and South on highway 66. All 3 mail stations had similar clearances left by the County plow. This is a busy county highway and the county plows in front of all of the mailboxes. Contacted the post office. Not particularly helpful.
3. A package containing a book was left next to the garage door in the melting snow. Luckily we were home and retrieved the package before the contents were damaged.

They stated that they couldn’t deliver my Amazon package because they didn’t have access to the door/driveway, but the driveway was plowed and the front door was accessible?? Now I need to drive to the post office to pick up my package. Do they just deliver things whenever they please?? Unbelievable

Apparently they don't deliver Amazon packages for people who aren't permanent residents. The man at the counter was friendly but that policy is terrible.
Service like that is the reason USPS is a drain on our society.
Amazon is making the right move privatizing their logistics network.

THEY DESERVE O STARS. SENT A PACKAGE OVERNIGHT GUARANTEED 300 PM DELIVERY. THE PACKAGE WAS RECEIVED AT 8:15 AM IN CROSSLAKE. FOUND OUT THE NEXT DAY THAT THEY WILL NOT DELIVER UNLESS YOU GET MAIL EVERDAY. KEEP IN MIND THERE IS A MAILBOX UP WITH FOUR OTHERS AND CLEARLY MARKED. MY WIFE WENT IN THE NEXT DAY TO FIND OUT WHY. ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE GOT THEIR MAIL. PURE LAZINNESS. WOW! MY WIFE WAS TREATED WITH TOTAL DISS-RESPECT.
IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB QUIT AND MOVE ON!

Absolutely terrible. Called six times during business hours and no answer. They couldn't find our package that was delivered there. Worst post office.
