Northwoods Inn & Cottages

Clean and good quality for the price! Our stay a little while ago was made extra convenient by the very sweet man taking care of the front desk!

The Ritz-Carlton this is not. However, if you're looking for an extremely friendly staff, and extremely clean rooms, look no further. I was really impressed with how clean and nice the rooms were. Basic Furniture basic bedding but extremely clean! I ran my finger on the top of a painting and it was spotless :-)

I had car trouble and asked for the nearest motel which turned out to be the Northwoods Inn. I went over and asked if they accept pets since I had a dog with me. Yes they did and so I signed in. I found that the room was very clean, simple, and just what I needed. The lady was very cordial and told me where I could find a mechanic the next morning. I got to the mechanic and the repairs took a little longer than my 11am check out time but no problem as far as the owner was concerned. I was so impressed with her helpfulness and concern I just may look for a reason to stay there again since I go up north every summer.

Owner was a nice and accommodating guy. Rooms were very clean. Maybe a little dated but for the price it was a pleasant place to stay

I can honestly say with 100% confidence that this motel is the #1 motel! I have never felt so comfortable and so welcomed at any other motel/hotel! The owners are amazing and are two of the most caring kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Isaac and Amy it's been my pleasure to have had the Northwoods experience.

When pulling up I thought it was going to be older and icky. After seeing the room and spending one night I will gladly pay for another night!! It's quiet, spacious, comfortable and they employee's go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need!! I definitely recommend it

First walking into the room, they appear a little dated by the wood panel wall you see as you walk in. However, after staying the night, you see its actually a really nice room. Outside of hotel rooms on an Air Force Base, probably the cleanest motel room I've stayed in. Staff was very pleasant to talk with also though we didn't need anything else besides check in. I'd stay there again.

I dont think i have ever been this impressed with a place. Dont let the exterior fool you. Amazing price for a beautiful room with a beautiful view from the balcony. Comfy bed, television, bathroom with a shower, even a coffee maker with complimentary coffee! I will definitely be staying here again.

Stayed.for a week cozy updated room. Amy the owner was accommodating. Super friendly. Would recommend staying here it's convenient right off of 35 nice little hide away .I will be returning and staying again. They have daily.weekly and monthly rentals.

Loved this place found it on a whim looking for a spot next to the lake for ice fishing. The girls could watch us from the room. Water pressure and hotness was perfwct!! Added plus there are BIBLES IN THE ROOM!! just like it should be. Hospitality was awesome cant wait for another weekend off!! We know where will we will being staying athank you again!!s long as they are not booked up.

We rented a cabin for a week - everything was clean and very nice! We mentioned we would be using the grill and the owners made sure there was an extra gas tank for us. Thanks for helping us make some awesome memories

Cozy and cute. The bed and pillows were comfy. Slightly more expensive than I would have preferred but a nice place overall. Had plug ins for our truck over night.

I called several motels in area...from Duluth and south. Explained we were four Disabled Veterans tired of driving, and looking for accomodations, not knowing this was Grandma Marathon weekend. This was the only motel that thought through our situation, found a solution, and the accomodations were better than any we have experienced at Grand Casino, Black Bear, Best Western, Days Inn, etc. Definitely a ten star rating in our book!

Great place with a beautiful view of the lake !!! The rooms are super nice and clean compared to any of the other motels within the area ! Owners are friendly and provide great service. Would highly recommend this place !
