Very clean, quiet campground. Friendly owners & staff. Gated & Partially seasonal which keeps it quiet. Our family fills 7 sites for 10 days every July. The kids (2-21) love everything it has to offer from pool, private beach, playground, to safe roads for bike riding. There is so much to do with the dunes & town super close. Highly recommend Sandy Shores.

Roomy pull thru sites. Very well kept and the staff is amazing. It was too chilly to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Loved the proximity to store and beach. Very strict dog policy, so it put a bit of a cramp in our plans but we made it work. Felt very safe and was family friendly.

We started coming here in 2009. We were hooked! Jerry and Chris, the owners are amazing. The staff is incredible, always friendly and love what they do. The campground is extremely clean and well kept. The showers and bathrooms are always very clean. We have wonderful memories of bringing our kids here each summer. We look forward to coming back every year. The only bad thing is having to leave. We love it here and can't wait to return!

Little mix up on days we were staying. Not a problem since it was during the week. We did have to change the site. Packed in like sardines but it is always like that camping in popular areas with a big attraction near by. Helps them have more sites for more people. We had a tent, so site was fine. People with larger camper/motor homes sites are definitely tight. Trees everywhere which we like, good for a hammock and shade. Black top paved intracamp roads. Sites have trees ,grass and sand, some are sloped. Only negative thing, fire ring is so far in ground that no air gets in to help keep the fire going. Need big rocks in it to have wood sit on. We used long big logs and made fire on top of them. Our electric didn't work, came right over as soon as we made them aware to fix it.

First time staying at this Campground. Our full hook up site had a concrete base that accommodated out 39 footer quite well . The pool, bathrooms, and sites were very well maintained. Staff was friendly as well. You will however, pay a bit more for this Park then the State park across the road but the it is worth it.

(September 2019) We stayed a few days... visiting my husband’s brother, it was a nice place. Staff was super friendly... we had to leave a few days early. Our son started to feel ill and we had to take him into the hospital in Grand Rapids before we took him home. The staff was so understanding, thank you for that!!!

My family absolutely loves this place! The family and staff are amazing and absolutely wonderful to work with. They keep the campground and bathrooms immaculate all the time. Seriously, I've been camping for 32 years and this is the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen. The staff comes in multiple times a day to maintain it. We have been coming here for 5 years now and plan on continuing to for many more years to come.

We love this area and love this campground. The owners are incredibly nice. We have only reserved full hookup sites and they are nice size and allow our dogs to have a little space to move around. The pool is great and heated. The facilities are super clean. My daughter actually will shower there instead of waiting to use the shower in the camper. It's a nice quiet campground and perfectly located. Close enough to walk or bike ride to get ice cream or go to the arcade and go carts just a short way down the street. The beach area is small but a fun spot to build a sand castle, have a picnic and get some sun but to shallow to swim. For my family it is perfect and we will always choose Sandy Shores.

Clean. Friendly. Quiet. Convenient. Way more fun than expected. A little surprised actually. Nothing bad to say except our fire pit was upside down and it covered up the air vents which made a lot of smoke. Easy fix. Can't wait to visit again. Memories for all in town.

This campground was phenomenal. Everyone that worked in the office was extremely friendly and helpful. The staff that you saw throughout the campground was friendly as well. The facilities were extremely clean, probably the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. We were tent camping, and the site that we were given was great. It had nice shade, and it was a large lot.

This is the nicest campground we've ever stayed at. The campground was super clean and the bathrooms were always spotless. The pool was nice but I would suggest management purchase some lounge chairs. It was also very quiet at night. If you're looking for a crazy place to party, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a great family campground close to all the area amenities, then by all means, book here.

Stayed for the weekend of Jeep Invasion. Quiet Kid and Pet friendly campground. Sites have water and power hookups (115V and 220V) which makes it great for tent, popup, or RV camping. Facilities were always in excellent condition. 10/10 will be staying here again.
